Abstract

Balanced nutrition is an important concern in supporting the growth and development of children in Indonesia. Cilengkrang State Elementary School located in North Sumedang District is one of the focuses in efforts to increase knowledge about the importance of balanced nutrition. The implementation of this community service aims to increase students' knowledge about balanced nutrition and increase students' knowledge about nutritious food as an effort to prevent disease in school-age children. This community service activity was carried out in October 2024. The focus of this community service activity is to increase students' knowledge about balanced nutrition and efforts to prevent disease in school-age children through the introduction of nutritious food. Students take a pre-test before presenting the counseling with the aim of finding out their knowledge about balanced nutrition and nutritious food. The counseling is carried out offline, including counseling on balanced nutrition, nutritious food, the benefits of nutritious food and the impact of not consuming enough nutritious food. The students re-took a post-test after being given counseling with the aim of finding out their knowledge after being given counseling. The results after being given counseling, the students' knowledge about balanced nutrition and nutritious food increased. This activity went smoothly and the students were very enthusiastic about listening to the counseling.

Abstract

This case study investigates English language teachers’ understanding and implementation of self-assessment (SA) in elementary, junior high, and senior high school levels. The research focuses on exploring how English teachers’ understanding of SA and how SA is applied in classroom settings. Data were collected through interviews and classroom observations involving five English teachers from a private school in East Jakarta, selected through purposeful sampling to capture diverse teaching experiences and grade levels. The findings indicate that all participants demonstrated a clear understanding of SA, its classroom implementation varied. Factors such as student age influenced the adaptation of SA practices, with younger learners requiring more guided approaches. Additionally, the frequency of SA use ranged from regular integration throughout lessons to limited use at the end of the term. These insights suggest areas for improvement, such as promoting more consistent use of SA throughout the learning process. The study offers practical examples of how English language teachers incorporate SA, providing guidance for educators aiming to enhance student engagement and autonomy through reflective learning practices.

Abstract

Information technology and electronic technology are increasingly becoming integral to everyday life worldwide. The advancements in these technologies are transforming how we communicate, access information, and even establish businesses. However, this progress also brings negative consequences, such as a rise in online crimes. Criminals can easily exploit the internet for investment fraud, fake cooperatives, and various scams. For example, in 2022, a case in Bandung involved an individual named DS who perpetrated investment fraud through a robot trading application called Quotext. Both individuals and companies can fall victim to these fraudulent activities. This study employs a normative legal research method, examining various legal regulations, such as the Criminal Code and the Electronic Information and Transactions Law. The findings indicate that those who commit investment fraud can be held accountable either as individuals or as corporations. Corporate entities can face criminal responsibility in cases of investment fraud, as the fraudulent actions of their representatives may implicate the entire organization. Investment fraud is subject to criminal sanctions for fraud under the Criminal Code. However, if the fraud occurs online, the provisions concerning fraud or embezzlement outlined in the Electronic Information and Transactions Law will apply, further emphasizing the need for corporate accountability in the digital age. Teknologi informasi dan teknologi elektronik semakin menjadi bagian yang tak terpisahkan dari kehidupan sehari-hari di seluruh dunia. Kemajuan teknologi ini mengubah cara kita berkomunikasi, mengakses informasi, dan bahkan membangun bisnis. Namun, kemajuan ini juga membawa konsekuensi negatif, seperti meningkatnya kejahatan daring. Para pelaku kejahatan dapat dengan mudah memanfaatkan internet untuk penipuan investasi, koperasi palsu, dan berbagai penipuan lainnya. Misalnya, pada tahun 2022, sebuah kasus di Bandung melibatkan seorang individu bernama DS yang melakukan penipuan investasi melalui aplikasi perdagangan robot bernama Quotext. Baik individu maupun perusahaan dapat menjadi korban dari kegiatan penipuan ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif, dengan mengkaji berbagai peraturan perundang-undangan, seperti Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana dan Undang-Undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mereka yang melakukan penipuan investasi dapat dimintai pertanggungjawaban baik sebagai individu maupun sebagai korporasi. Entitas korporasi dapat menghadapi tanggung jawab pidana dalam kasus penipuan investasi, karena tindakan penipuan yang dilakukan oleh perwakilan mereka dapat melibatkan seluruh organisasi. Penipuan investasi dikenakan sanksi pidana atas penipuan berdasarkan Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana. Namun, jika penipuan terjadi secara daring, ketentuan mengenai penipuan atau penggelapan sebagaimana diuraikan dalam Undang-Undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik akan berlaku, yang semakin menegaskan perlunya akuntabilitas perusahaan di era digital. Abstract

Development is the increase in abilities, structures and functions of the body that are more complex. One of the developments that is of concern is the development of speech. Some data show that the incidence of children who experience speech delays is quite high. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of picture story books on the speaking ability of early childhood children. This research is a qualitative study using the literature study method. The literature study method is a series of activities related to the method of collecting library data, reading and recording, and managing research materials. The results of the study after the author conducted a literature review of 5 journals that had been collected from various sources consisting of two (2) journals explaining the benefits and improvement of speaking ability from the use of picture story books and three (3) journals explaining the influence of story books on the development of speech in early childhood children showed a significant influence on improving the speaking ability of early childhood children after reading picture story books with good and correct intonation with greater frequency, children became more focused and learning was more interesting

Abstract

Penulisan tugas akhir merupakan salah satu kewajiban akademik mahasiswa semester akhir yang menuntut kemampuan literasi informasi dan pengelolaan referensi yang baik. Namun, banyak mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelola referensi dan menyusun daftar pustaka sesuai dengan standar penulisan ilmiah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan penggunaan reference manager kepada mahasiswa semester akhir guna meningkatkan keterampilan pengelolaan referensi dalam penulisan tugas akhir atau skripsi. Program pelatihan dilaksanakan di perguruan tinggi negeri di Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur dengan melibatkan 45 mahasiswa semester akhir dari berbagai program studi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan berbasis praktik dengan pendekatan hands-on learning menggunakan aplikasi Mendeley, Zotero, dan EndNote. Kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi, workshop pelatihan, dan pendampingan teknis. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dari peserta, dengan 89% peserta berhasil menguasai penggunaan reference manager dan mampu mengaplikasikannya dalam penulisan tugas akhir. Program pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat praktis bagi mahasiswa dalam mengelola referensi secara efisien dan direkomendasikan untuk diterapkan secara berkelanjutan di perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between writing self-efficacy and academic performance among university students enrolled in English writing courses. Using a mixed-methods approach, data were collected from 150 university students across three institutions in East Java, Indonesia. The study employed the Questionnaire of English Writing Self-Efficacy (QEWSE) and semi-structured interviews to assess students' self-efficacy beliefs and identify influencing factors. Results revealed a significant positive correlation between writing self-efficacy and academic performance (r = .67, p < .001). Key predictors of writing self-efficacy included previous English learning experience (β = .34, p < .001), quality of instructor feedback (β = .28, p < .001), peer collaboration opportunities (β = .22, p < .01), and perceived task difficulty (β = -.19, p < .05). Qualitative findings highlighted five major themes: mastery experiences, instructor feedback quality, peer support, task relevance, and technological resources. The study provides empirical evidence for the importance of writing self-efficacy in L2 contexts and offers practical implications for English language pedagogy in higher education. The findings highlight actionable strategies for improving English writing instruction, including the role of peer support, feedback mechanisms, and task design, particularly in EFL university settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Wadi'ah and Mudharabah principles in fund collection in Islamic banking. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study model and literature study. The analysis results show that the implementation of the Wadi'ah and Mudharabah principles can strengthen the trust relationship between the bank and customers, increase public participation in the Islamic banking system, and encourage the creation of innovative products that meet market needs. However, challenges in risk management and the uncertainty of business outcomes under the Mudharabah principle are important aspects that the bank needs to pay attention to. Overall, this study provides insights into the importance of applying Islamic principles in fund collection and their contribution to the development of Islamic banking in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan shalat berjamaah siswa dengan metode demonstrasi dan bagaimana kemampuan siswa dalam melafazkan bacaan pada shalat berjamaah dengan metode demonstrasi.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan sholat berjamaah siswa dengan metode demonstrasi.dan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam melafazkan bacaan pada sholat berjamaah dengan metode demonstrasi. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas.dan Teknik pengambilan data adalah dengan Observasi,metode Demonstrasi dan Dokumentasi Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode Demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan sholat fardlu siswa Kelas II  pada Materi Fikih.Pada tahap pra siklus nilai rata rata yang diperoleh siswa masih 64  dengan ketuntasan klasikal 23%,pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 68 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 57%.pada siklus II nilai rata rata lebih meningkat menjadi 73 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 82%.

Abstract

Pendidikan sangat penting sebagai sarana untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat miskin dan tahap awal perkembangan anak. Saat ini, pemerintah sedang mempertimbangkan untuk memberlakukan undang- undang yang mewajibkan pembelajaran jarak jauh (pembelajaran online) atau mengurangi jumlah waktu yang dihabiskan siswa di kelas. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran di kelas cukup tidak konsisten dan dapat berdampak negatif terhadap motivasi belajar anak. Motivasi individu sangatlah penting karena dapat mempengaruhi kinerja seseorang dalam berbagai bidang, termasuk dalam kegiatan belajarnya. Motivasi dapat berfungsi sebagai panduan untuk mencapai hasil yang diinginkan. dengan menggunakan senam irama.
