Abstract

The Indonesian Malay Customary Community (MABMI) is one of the Malay communities in Indonesia, and one of them is located in the city of Binjai, North Sumatra. This organization has many members and is active in carrying out various activities. Members of MABMI in Binjai, who are mostly mothers and elderly (over 60 years old), often complain that they often experience health problems, especially joint pain or muscle pain, which sometimes interfere with their daily life activities. The number of MABMI members in Binjai city who work as housewives, so it is very potential if you want to do entrepreneurial activities at each home so that it can help in improving the family economy. This community service is useful in providing one of the solutions and alternatives for mothers to solve joint health problems that they often experience by providing education and training to make anti-pain balm so that the hope can be used alone if needed. In addition, the team also tried to provide stimulation for mothers who want to do business by developing this anti-pain balm preparation. Education about health products that are safe to use and further information about joint and muscle pain will also be provided by the service team.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) was declared a pandemic (a disease whose spread has spread throughout the world) by WHO on March 9, 2020. This disease can be transmitted to everyone regardless of age and has a very detrimental impact both in the health and economic fields. Cempedak Lobang Village is one of the villages in Serdang Bedagai Regency which was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the precautions that can be taken to reduce the spread of Covid-19 is the application of physical distancing and maintaining hand hygiene through the use of a hand sanitizer. However, the availability of hand sanitizers has become scarce and very expensive so that it is difficult for the public to reach. In addition, there is a lack of compliance and public awareness of the importance of implementing physical distancing, using masks and maintaining personal hygiene, so it is feared that the spread of the virus will become more widespread. This community service is beneficial in providing one solution and alternative to the community of this village in solving health problems that are currently endemic. The team will disseminate and educate on how to prevent Covid-19 infection. Hand sanitizers provided with formulas according to WHO standards and prepared by the community services team as well as educating on how to use and manufacture them so that they can stimulate the community to make their hand sanitizers.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakterisasi gelatin yang dihasilkan dari sisik ikan nila hitam yang diekstraksi dengan menggunakan kombinasi metode asam dan ultrasonik. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental yang terdiri dari 2 perlakuan yaitu penggunaan asam asetat 3 dan 7%. Perendaman asam dilakukan selama 72 jam dan ultrasonikasi dilakukan dengan suhu 60oC selama 3 jam. Gelatin dengan rendemen terbanyak dilakukan karakterisasi berupa uji organoleptik, kadar air, kadar abu, uji pH, viskositas, kekuatan gel dan analisis menggunakan FTIR. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis of variance (ANOVA) dengan uji t pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan asam asetat 7% menghasilkan gelatin dengan rendemen yang lebih tinggi yaitu 5,02% (p<0,05). Gelatin yang dihasilkan berupa serbuk halus, berwarna putih kekuningan, dan bau khas ikan, dengan kadar air 6,62±1,15%, kadar abu 3,10±0,33%, pH 6,36±0,01, viskositas 1,85±0,2 cP, dan kekuatan gel sebesar 50,83 bloom. Hasil profil FTIR menunjukkan adanya gugus fungsi Amida A, B, I, II, dan III dan sesuai dengan gelatin komersial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa pembuatan gelatin menggunakan metode asam kombinasi ultrasonik menghasilkan gelatin yang memiliki karakteristik yang baik dan berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai salah satu alternatif sumber gelatin.

Abstract

Unhealthy lifestyles and the habit of consuming high-sugar drinks in the community that continues to increase lead to an increase in the occurrence of various health problems such as diabetes. The development of herbal health drinks based on natural sweeteners of stevia leaves can be an alternative solution to health drinks that are efficacious and safe for consumption, but public knowledge and awareness of this issue need to be improved. The community service team provide solutions in the form of educational activities for the community on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, the virtues of herbal-based health drinks and provide training on the process of making herbal drinks, packaging and marketing. This program was implemented in Marindal II Village, Patumbak District, Deli Serdang Regency involving the Indonesian Women's Union Association (Hapsari) community. The results of the service implementation showed that the service activities succeeded in increasing community knowledge about healthy lifestyles and herbal health drinks by 17.12%. This activity also provided skills to the participants in making herbal health drinks independently which can be developed and have economic value to  improve family welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial distress, concentrated ownership, good corporate governance, and capital intensity on taxaggressiveness. This research was conducted by analyzing the finansial statements of companies in the energy sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period from 2019 to 2023. The sample used in this study consisted of 13 energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period from 2019 to 2023, using the purposive sampling technique. The data used in this research are secondary data in the form of financial statements from each company that has been sampled for the study. The variables used in this study are financial distress, concentrated ownership, good corporate governance, capital intensity as the independent variable with tax aggressiveness as the dependent variable. The panel data regression method is used as the research methodology in this study. Analysis of research results using the EViews 12 Student Version Lite software. The research results show that the best model is the Common Effect Model. (CEM). The results of this study indicate that financial distress partially does not affect tax aggressiveness, concentrated ownership partially does not affect tax aggressiveness, good corporate governance proxied with independent commissioners partially does not affect tax aggressiveness, capital intensity partially affects tax aggressiveness, and simultaneously, financial distress, concentrated ownership, good corporate governance, and capital intensity affect tax aggressiveness.
