Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare the concepts of Islamic education from the perspectives of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari and KH. Ahmad Dahlan. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review. The collected data are analyzed descriptively. This study concludes that KH. Hasyim Asy'ari is known for his pesantren education model, which emphasizes the deepening of religious knowledge and character building, while KH. Ahmad Dahlan pioneered the integration of religious and general knowledge through the modern madrasah system. Pesantren and madrasah are two main educational models that complement each other in shaping a generation of Muslims who are knowledgeable, have good character, and are ready to face the challenges of the times. The integration of religious and general knowledge is the key to creating holistic Islamic education that is relevant to the needs of modern society. NU plays a role in preserving classical Islamic scholarly traditions through pesantren and madrasah diniyah, while Muhammadiyah develops modern education that adapts to the times without neglecting Islamic values. The educational concepts and practices proposed by these two figures have become important pillars in national development, making Islamic education in Indonesia adaptive, inclusive, and rooted in Islamic values. The contributions of NU and Muhammadiyah to contemporary Islamic education are highly significant in addressing the challenges of the times. By combining the strength of traditional scholarship with modern innovation, both organizations have created a holistic, adaptive model of Islamic education that is oriented toward Islamic values and 21st-century competencies. Their synergy must continue to be strengthened to shape a moderate, competitive Muslim generation ready to face the era of globalization.

Abstract

This paper aims to find out about the commercialization of agricultural land, and the current model of agricultural land commercialization in West Koya and East Koya, and the Jayapura City’s goverment attitude toward the lack of agricultural land in Jayapura City area. This is a qualitative research, using a social phenomenology paradigm. The results showed that the increasingly dense population of Jayapura City has led in the expansion of the city towards Koya region which is suburb area. Smooth transportation facilities and good infrastructure make Koya region more evolving. The land price in Koya area depends on the sale value of tax object, it is also influenced by the lack of land used as a place to live due to the density increasing of urban area so that the resident seek residential land in Koya area. Transmigrants or farmers who have no knowledge basis in agriculture, and have difficulty dealing with rice pests, causing them to be reluctant to plant rice, and difficult to adapt to the environmental situation. Farmers are more benefited by converting the farmland to fishery land. By utilizing former farmland to be used as a public fishing pond as amusement or tourism place. The economic pressure of community at the beginning of transmigration program was a heavy burden that felt by them, while the needs as supporting tools were hard to find. The high cost of living is the cause of transmigrants’ inability to survive, therefore, they decided to leave their transmigration land by selling it to a second party.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Diniyah Regent's Regulation (Perbub) regarding Compulsory Diniyah Madrasah Study in Pasuruan Regency, with a focus on improving the quality of education in the Tahfidz TPQ Al-Ihsan Program, Lebak Pasuruan. This regulation provides a legal basis for the implementation of religious education and aims to improve the quality of religious education through programs such as tahfidz Al-Qur'an. The research uses qualitative methods with observation, interview and documentation techniques. This research evaluates the implementation of the Diniyah Regent Regulation (Perbup) in Pasuruan Regency, especially in the Tahfidz Program at TPQ Al-Ihsan. The research results show that this Perbup plays an important role in improving the quality of religious education by providing a structured legal and operational framework. TPQ Al-Ihsan has succeeded in adapting this policy through developing an integrated curriculum that combines religious learning and general education, as well as implementing dynamic teaching methods that are updated regularly. Even though there is ongoing training for teachers, challenges related to teacher qualifications, student attendance, and parental support are still obstacles. The implementation of learning is carried out in a structured manner with a gradual approach, however the evaluation shows the need for improvement in several aspects to optimize the results of tahfidz education and religious education as a whole. This research emphasizes the importance of collaboration between the community, parents and other stakeholders in supporting the success of the Diniyah program at TPQ Al-Ihsan.

Abstract

Tracheostomy is a surgical procedure that creates an opening in the anterior tracheal wall, performed either urgently or electively based on the severity of upper airway obstruction and underlying conditions. Over time, the indications and complications of tracheostomy have evolved, necessitating further evaluation of its use in clinical settings. This study aims to analyze the common indications, timing, and outcomes of tracheostomy in patients treated under the Head and Neck Surgery Division of Dr. Soetomo Hospital Surabaya. This retrospective descriptive study included all patients who underwent tracheostomy in the Head and Neck Surgery Division from January 2019 to December 2023. Data were obtained from medical records, processed, and analyzed descriptively using IBM SPSS Statistics. Over a five-year period, a total of 450 patients underwent tracheostomy, with the majority aged 51-60 years, and male patients predominating. The most common indication for tracheostomy was mechanical ventilation, followed by upper airway obstruction (146 cases). The most frequently encountered complication was stomal infection, along with bleeding. The most common diagnosis among tracheostomy patients included prolonged ventilator dependence, maxillofacial trauma, and cervical trauma. Mortality was attributed to underlying diseases rather than tracheostomy-related complications. These findings highlight the continued necessity of tracheostomy in managing upper airway obstruction and prolonged ventilation while emphasizing the importance of infection control measures to minimize complications. Future research should explore long-term functional outcomes, the impact of early versus late tracheostomy, and strategies to reduce postoperative complications. Additionally, studies investigating alternative airway management techniques and their effectiveness compared to traditional tracheostomy could provide valuable insights for optimizing patient care.

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia faces significant challenges in fostering genuine inclusivity and countering rising intolerance within increasingly pluralistic and globalized societies. In response, the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs has proposed the innovative Love-Based Curriculum (LBC) for madrasahs. This study aims to critically analyze the LBC’s conceptual framework as a model for inclusive-humanistic Islamic education and evaluate its proposed implementation strategies. Employing a qualitative library research design, this study systematically analyzed the primary policy document, Panduan Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta di Madrasah (2025), alongside relevant academic literature on inclusive pedagogy and Islamic curriculum theory. Data were examined through thematic analysis. The findings indicate that the LBC conceptualizes inclusivity through a three-pronged approach: theological deconstruction emphasizing divine attributes of love (Al-Wadud, Ar-Rahman), pedagogical integration via a hybrid ARKA model, and preventive social mechanisms rooted in restorative justice. However, the analysis also reveals conceptual tensions, such as the potential paradox between standardizing 'love' in a curriculum and its inherently subjective nature, alongside practical challenges related to teacher readiness and socio-cultural barriers. This study concludes that while the LBC presents a groundbreaking normative framework, its transformative potential hinges on addressing these contradictions through contextual adaptation, robust teacher training, and further empirical research. The study contributes a critical conceptual evaluation essential for stakeholders implementing value-based educational reforms in Islamic schooling contexts.

Abstract

Abstract This study analyzes the implementation of the religious moderation policy within the Merdeka Curriculum in senior high schools, focusing on a comparison between Public and Private Senior High Schools. Using a qualitative approach with a multiple-case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis at two schools in Bandung City. The findings reveal significant variations in implementation strategies between the two types of schools. The Public Senior High School employed a structural-formal approach through the development of project modules and integration into curriculum instruments, while the Private Senior High School adopted a cultural-contextual approach through supplements to religious education materials and the habituation of values. This contrast highlights the context-dependent nature of policy translation, where institutional identity significantly shapes the implementation pathway. Key determinants of successful implementation included visionary leadership, teacher capacity, and support from the school ecosystem, with the main challenges being administrative burden, limited resources, and social pressures. This study concludes that the effectiveness of implementing the religious moderation policy heavily depends on ~~seach~~ each school's ability to develop strategies aligned with its institutional characteristics and socio-cultural context. The research implications emphasize the importance of flexible and differentiated policy approaches, as well as strengthening school capacity to adapt the national curriculum according to the specific conditions of each educational unit. Abstract

Normative commitment plays an important role in shaping teachers’ loyalty and responsibility to their institutions. Differences in commitment levels are often influenced by school culture, teamwork, and individual work motivation. This study aims to analyze the influence of these three factors on the normative commitment of public senior and vocational high school teachers in Teluk Batang District. The research used a quantitative approach with an associative design. The sample consisted of 65 teachers 24 civil servants and 41 non-civil servants who had taught for at least one year. Because the population was fewer than 100 individuals, total sampling was applied. Data were gathered through questionnaires and analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression with SPSS version 31. The results show that school culture significantly influences normative commitment with a contribution of 52.7%. Teamwork also has a significant effect, contributing 19.7%, while work motivation contributes 28.6%. Simultaneously, the three variables show a combined influence of 85.8% on normative commitment. In conclusion, school culture, teamwork, and work motivation each play a meaningful role in strengthening teachers’ normative commitment. Strengthening these aspects should be prioritized in school management to reinforce teachers’ loyalty and sense of responsibility.
