Abstract

  This paper will discuss about one part in the history of Semarang City, which is discussing the river from the historical side in the early 20th century. The main problem in this study is how the river and its function in the city of Semarang in the early 20th century. Semarang has always been famous as a large port city on the north coast of Java. Its greatness makes this city have many interesting things to discuss. One of them is the problem regarding the development of this city itself. Since being controlled by Europeans since the 18th century, Semarang has been transformed into a city whose architecture is very similar to European architecture, especially the Netherlands. One interesting part of the city is about the state of the river in Semarang. Similar to some cities in the Netherlands that have many rivers (both natural and artificial), which have many functions, one example is as a flood barrier. In Semarang the function of rivers and canals is also same because the position of this city which is on the coast of the sea. However, whether the function of rivers and canals is only limited to flood control? although not as large as rivers in Sumatra and Kalimantan, the position of rivers in Semarang was also quite important especially in the early 20th century. This paper highlights other functions of rivers in Semarang that have not been revealed in the framework of historical research. The research method used is the historical method, besides this paper also uses primary sources and other relevant sources to answer the problems raised. Abstract

As an agency that has direct contact with the media and public attention, UNNES pays special attention to how to strengthen public trust. Efforts started from internal campus parties to invite relevant partners to support the realization of the effort to produce a reliable and competent journalist. This service aims to educate how important it is to present correct data and balanced news. The method of this activity is online and offline training. This training takes place in 4 stages of training. The participants of this activity are students. Stage 1 takes place online, and stages 2-4 take place offline with a limited number of participants and implementing strict Health protocols. This training activity went smoothly and well. Participants were very enthusiastic during the training activities. Based on the results of the evaluation using a questionnaire and participants as respondents, the training process which includes the preparation of material and the suitability of the answers during the QA process is also considered good.

Abstract

Pelayanan yang prima, efektif, dan efesien terhadap mahasiswa menjadi salah satu kunci kesuksesan masa pendidikan mahasiswa di universitas, termasuk pelayanan laboratorium untuk penunjang praktikum mahasiswa. Kontras dengan yang terjadi dengan layanan di laboartorium Jurusan Sejarah, pelayanan laboraorium justru terlihat kurang maksimal dan tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini merancang sistem layanan laboratorium (SILALA) yang dapat meningkatkan secara maksimal layanan laboratorium sehingga sesuai dengan kebutuhan mahasiswa untuk menunjang pembelajaran mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development. Sistem layanan laboratorium dibuat berbasis web dengan menggunan JavaScript dan CSS. Hasil implemenasi dan evaluasi menggunakan perhitungan System Usability Scale (SUS) diperoleh skor sebesar 72, dan masuk dalam acceptable range “ACCEPTABLE”. Dengan demikian penggunaan sistem yang dibuat telah dibuat diterima oleh penggunanya dan telah memenuhi standar nilai usabilitysehingga memberikan efek positif untuk layanan laboratorium Jurusan Sejarah

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan menganai penulisan sejarah lokal dan implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar, terutama bagian penilaian (assesmen). Mitra dari kegiatan ini adalah MGMP Sejarah Kabupaten Boyolali. Metode kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan dengan ceramah dan tanya jawab. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menujukkan bahwa tujuan dari kegiatan pelatihan ini tercapai. Lebih lanjut lagi kegiatan pelatihan ini cukup efektif ditinjau dari materi dan waktu, serta antusiasme peserta selama pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini sangat bagus dan baik. Kegiatan pelatihan juga ini memberikan motivasi dan pemahaman kepada MGMP Sejarah Kabupaten Boyolali mengenai penulisan sejarah lokal dan implementasi kurikulum merdeka, terutama pada bagian penilaian (assesmen). Mitra MGMP Sejarah Kabupaten Boyolali telah memiliki alternatif pemecahan masalah yang dihadapi dalam penulisan sejarah lokal dan mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka dalam bagian penilaian.

Abstract

The ability of 21st century teachers is a necessity that must be mastered by educators in order to be able to compete. Mastery of technology and various applications and the ability of teachers to conduct research must also develop so that there is no big gap between teachers and students in technology matters. In the field of history, the development of public history is an opportunity for teachers to develop a history learning base that refers to technology. In public history, a historian in this regard is a teacher who is free to explore a historical theme and present it as interestingly as possible. This training regarding the introduction and application of public history will be carried out in the environment of teachers in the History of Boyolali District Teachers' Meetings (MGMP). The purpose of this training is so that teachers understand what public history is, how it relates to learning in schools, and how to be actively involved in the development of history both based on education and for the community. Kemampuan Guru Abad 21 merupakan sebuah keniscayaan yang harus dikuasai oleh para pendidik agar mampu bersaing. Penguasaan teknologi dan berbagai aplikasi dan kemampuan guru dalam melakukan riset harus berkembang pula agar tidak terjadi gap yang jauh antara guru dan siswa dalam urusan teknologi. Dalam bidang sejarah, pengembangan sejarah publik menjadi sebuah peluang bagi guru untuk mengembangkan basis pembelajaran sejarah yang mengacu pada teknologi. Dalam sejarah publik juga seorang sejarawan dalam kaitan ini adalah guru bebas mengeksplor sebuah tema sejarah dan menyajikannya semenarik mungkin. Pelatihan ini mengenai pengenalan dan pengaplikasian sejarah publik ini akan dilakukan dilingkungan para guru dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Sejarah Kabupaten Boyolali. Tujuan diadakan pelatihan ini agar para guru memahami apa itu sejarah publik, bagaimana hubungannya dengan pembelajaran di sekolah, dan bagaimana terlibat aktif dalam pengembangan sejarah baik yang berbasis Pendidikan maupun untuk masyarakat.

Abstract

As an effort to improve and catch up on learning loss as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the government has implemented an independent learning curriculum in most educational institutions at various levels. However, as a result of the lack of preparation for the implementation of this curriculum, various problems arose, especially in terms of formative assessment. Problems regarding formative assessment in the implementation of the independent learning curriculum were also experienced by the Kudus Regency History MGMP. The aim of this activity is an effort to reduce partner problems through collaborative activities in the form of community service. The method in this activity is training, followed by post-training assistance. The results of the service activities show that there is an increase in partners' understanding of the preparation of formative assessments for history learning. This is evidenced by the evaluation results in each activity carried out. During the training and mentoring activities, participants were also very enthusiastic and held discussions with resource persons. Thus, it can be said that this activity has a positive impact and changes to partners, especially in terms of preparing formative assessments for learning history.

Abstract

The independent curriculum, which was expected to serve as a bridge following the slowdown in the learning process during Covid-19, has instead created new problems in its implementation. This is because the application of this curriculum lacked preparation from various parties. The History Teachers' Working Group (MGMP Sejarah) in Kudus District is one of the users encountering challenges in implementing the independent curriculum. The issues faced include: understanding the implementation of the independent curriculum and its application in teaching, especially in the development of teaching modules for Phase F in history education, which is still very limited. There is a lack of teachers' strategies in implementing the independent curriculum in schools, and a shortage of activities that support the skills and understanding of partners to implement the independent curriculum. To address these problems, the service team and partners agreed to conduct training and mentoring activities for the implementation of the independent curriculum, especially in developing Phase F teaching modules for history subjects in partner schools. The method used for this activity is training. Based on the conducted activities, it was found that participants' responses, as indicated by the survey, showed that the objectives of this service activity have been achieved. The evaluation results of the training activities, including participants' enthusiasm, level of participation, and understanding of the training materials, were very high. While the overall evaluation of the service activities also showed positive responses, there are still some areas that need improvement.

Abstract

This article discusses the strengthening of ecotourism based on Community-Based Tourism (CBT) in Rowoboni Village, Semarang Regency. The focus of this service is on optimizing the potential of natural tourism, particularly river and spring tourism, to improve the welfare of the local community. Through a holistic approach based on multidisciplinary research, this activity seeks to address issues related to the management and marketing of tourism, which are not yet optimal. The proposed solutions include strengthening the POKDARWIS institution, providing training for tourism management human resources, and developing digital-based marketing strategies. The results of this activity show an increase in the community's understanding and skills in managing and promoting ecotourism, although challenges remain in funding and responsiveness of tourism services. Overall, this service activity has successfully enhanced the ecotourism potential of Rowoboni Village.

Abstract

This study highlights the importance of differentiated learning in the context of Generation Z who have unique characteristics, such as critical thinking, desire for quick feedback, and technology literacy. Differentiated learning aims to meet individual learning needs by modifying four main components: content, process, product, and learning environment. Analysis of history teachers in Central Java Province shows that although most teachers have implemented some aspects of differentiated learning, there are obstacles in relevant and effective evaluation and assessment. To address this, a training program has been implemented to improve teacher competency in developing adaptive assessments, both formative and summative. The results of the training showed an increase in teachers' understanding and skills in implementing the principles of differentiated learning that are more inclusive and equitable.
