Abstract

Lumpur yang terbentuk di area sump pit tambang terbuka menimbulkan risiko ketidakstabilan operasional dan membutuhkan solusi pengelolaan yang efisien. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk merencanakan pemindahan lumpur dari sump pit selatan menuju disposal di PT Caritas Energi Indonesia site PT Batubara Jambi Lestari. Dengan menggunakan metode Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE), volume lumpur yang terbentuk diperkirakan mencapai 1789 meter kubik per bulan. Selain itu, dilakukan perancangan teknis sliding pad, tanggul kolam, dan kolam penampungan lumpur (mud cell) untuk meminimalkan risiko dan meningkatkan efisiensi penanganan lumpur. Desain sliding pad dibuat dengan dimensi yang sesuai untuk mengalirkan lumpur secara gravitasi sehingga aman untuk alat yang bekerja, sedangkan kolam penampungan lumpur (mud cell) memiliki kapasitas 5500 meter kubik. Untuk pemindahan lumpur, kombinasi dua unit excavator Komatsu PC300 dan tujuh unit dump truck Scania 380P sebagai alat hauler, waktu yang dibutuhkan pada kegiatan pemindahan lumpur dari sump ke disposal, disesuaikan dengan alat mekanis yang ada yaitu selama 12,9 jam.

Abstract

SMK Muhammadiyah Kota Jambi adalah sebuah sekolah menengah kejuruan swasta yang berdiri pada tanggal 27 Maret 2014. SMK ini berlokasi di Jl, Guntur No.2 Rt.8, Kelurahan Kasang, Kec. Jambi Timur, Kota Jambi. Status SMK Muhammadiyah Kota Jambi saat ini belum terakreditasi dan sedang dalam tahap pengajuan. Sedangkan kurikulum pembelajaran yang dipakai yaitu KTSP (Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan). SMK memiliki dua jurusan utama yakni perbankan syariah dan geologi pertambangan.Permasalahan yang di hadapi SMK Muhammadiyah yakni belum terakreditasinya sekolah, Sarana dan prasarana yang belum memadai, terutama yang berkaitan langsung dengan proses belajar mengajar, diantaranya: laboratorium, sampel batuan dan mineral, alat ukur dan gps, dll, Kurangnya jumlah guru yang memiliki kompetensi di bidang pertambangan . Belum adanya kerjasama dengan stakeholder terkait, misalnya SMK Geologi/ Pertambangan lain, universitas, maupun instansi dan perusahaan yang berkaitan dengan Pertambangan, Kurangnya kegiatan kunjungan lapangan. Program Studi Teknik Pertambangan Universitas Jambi dalam kapasitasnya sebagai institusi pendidikan tinggi yang rgerak di bidang pertambangan berniat untuk berkontribusi dan bekerjasama dengan pihak SMK Muhammadiyah Jambi untuk menjawab permasalahan rendahnya kualitas proses belajar mengajar, khususnya pada jurusan Geologi Pertambangan, dengan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berjudul “Pembekalan Materi Pembelajaran Pemberaian Batuan (Rock Excavation) di SMK Muhammadiyah Jurusan Geologi Pertambangan”. dengan hasil akhir kegiatan pengabdian yakni buku ajar dan jurnal ilmiah.

Abstract

crystal structure, which can immobilize lead and mitigate environmental contamination. Milling as a mechanical treatment plays a critical role in determining the final properties of the processed material. This study investigates the role of particle size and crystal structure in the mechanochemical treatment of lead-contaminated synthetic soil. Two synthetic soil samples were prepared in the laboratory, including lead contamination. Milling of the contaminated soils was carried out in a planetary ball mill. The samples were analysed using a lasersizer and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) to investigate the change in particle size and identify the crystalline phase after milling. The results showed that milling initially reduced particle size, but further milling resulted in particle agglomeration, which was reflected by partial amorphization in soil samples after milling. Other than the partial amorphization, no phase change was detected in the crystal structure. In conclusion, milling resulted in the change of particle size but did not affect the crystalline phase of the milled sample, despite of partial amorphization.

Abstract

The early stage of mineral processing usually focuses mainly on recovery, not the grade of the concentrate. Tin dressing in Production Section Vessel on January 2023 did not meet target recovery of 96%. This study aimed to evaluate and optimize jig performance to achieve the desired target. The study focused on evaluating the configuration of variables such as feed velocity, bed thickness, as well as number and length of strokes. Measurement data of jig performance variables and tailings and concentrate samples were used as comparative data to the SOP. The calculation of the sample content was carried out through the grain counting analysis (GCA) method, which calculated the amount of concentrate and losses in each jig. The final results of washing recovery prior to washing evaluation were 92.70% Sn in observation I and 88.68% Sn in observation II, respectively. The washing process in observation I and II conditions were not considered optimal because the recovery had not reached the target. This is caused by variables that are not under the provisions To optimize the performance of the jig was the installation a comb in the flow section of the jig to standardize the flow that was too fast, remeasurement after the addition of the hematite stone, repairing pillow blocks and eccentric coupling bolts on the stroke length setting and resetting the variables in the jig performance following existing SOPs. After the evaluation and readjustment of the jig variables, the recovery was increased to 97.53% Sn. From this study it can be concluded that the failure to achieve the targeted recovery was caused by operational variables that did not meet the SOP including the length and number of strokes, bed thickness, and water flow rate due to technical constraints. After being repaired, the dressing recovery could meet or even exceed the recovery target.

Abstract

Solomon Sengon (Paraserianthes mollucana (Miq.) Barneby & J.W. Grimes) is a plant species in land reclamation activities for former coal mines. This is because Solomon sengon has advantages including: very fast growth, adaptive to extreme environments, and quite high economic and ecological values. Former coal mining soils are generally degraded and have low organic matter content, essential nutrient availability, CEC, and base saturation. These conditions do not support optimal plant growth. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of NPK plus humic acid fertilizer on several soil chemical properties and the growth of the Solomon sengon plant. This research was carried out in the coal mining concession area in Amplelu Mudo Village, Tembesi District, Batang Hari Regency, Jambi Province. The study used a randomized block design (RBD) with doses of NPK plus humic acid fertilizer in 9 levels and repeated 3 times, so there were 27 plots or experimental units. The observed variables were: pH, Al-dd, available-P, K-dd, height increase, diameter increase and root dry weight. The results showed that the application of NPK fertilizer 100 g plus humic acid 20 g/plant hole (P5) was the best treatment in improving soil K-dd with an increase in plant height of 110.83 cm, diameter of 28.65 mm and BKA of 10.63 g , there was an increase in the height of the Solomon sengon plant by 101.21%, diameter by 65.13% and BKA by 75.12% compared to the administration of 50 g NPK plus 10 g humic acid (P1). Increasing the dose of NPK and humic acid from 50 g of NPK plus 10 g of humic acid to 100 g of NPK and 20 g of humic acid has the potential to significantly increase the growth of the Solomon sengon plant.

Abstract

Penerapan radius aman alat sebesar 300 m pada peledakan overburden yang dilakukan setiap hari meningkatkan frekuensi Internal Operasional Delay (IOD), yang berdampak negatif terhadap efisiensi operasional dan meningkatkan konsumsi bahan bakar alat saat melakukan perpindahan menuju radius aman. Analisis Flyrock dilakukan menggunakan batuan berukuran ≥10 cm, dengan pengambilan data menggunakan GPS dan pengamatan arah lemparan flyrock melalui video drone dan pengamatan visual. Estimasi jarak lintasan flyrock maksimum ditentukan berdasarkan metode Richard dan Moore (2005), dengan memperoleh konstanta (k) yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik batuan di lokasi. Nilai prediksi flyrock paling mendekati nilai aktual terjadi pada cratering, dengan persen error terkecil 18,33% dan penyimpangan 12,65 m. Faktor utama yang mempengaruhi jarak lemparan flyrock aktual adalah stemming dengan nilai sebesar 81,50%. Penentuan pengurangan jarak evakuasi alat menjadi radius aman 200 m menggunakan teori exclusion zone oleh Richard dan Moore (2005) dan penentuan skala kedalaman menggunakan teori (SDOB), menghasilkan standar nilai variabel tinggi stemming minimal 3,3 m pada kedalaman 7,80 m.

Abstract

Rare Earth Elements (REEs) have become critical components in modern technology; however, global reliance on Chinese supply (>80%) and the scarcity of economic deposits necessitate the diversification of REE sources, including utilizing coal ash. This study examines the REE potential in coal parting as the primary source of coal combustion ash materials at PT Kuansing Inti Makmur (PT KIM), Bungo Regency, Jambi Province, which features multi-parting coal characteristics with a high ash content (14.36%). The methodology includes Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) analysis for REE quantification and petrographic analysis for mineralogical characterization. The results reveal that the total REE content in the parting reaches 180.01 ppm, dominated by Cerium (Ce) (65.68 ppm) and Neodymium (Nd) (38.91 ppm). Petrographic analysis identifies the REE-bearing host rock as siliciclastic sediment composed primarily of quartz and feldspar within a clay matrix. Based on a parting volume of 85,000 m3, the hypothetical resource estimation yields a total potential of 32.13 tonnes of REE, including Ce (11.7 tonnes) and Nd (6.9 tonnes). These findings indicate that the high-ash, multi-parting coal parting at PT KIM holds significant potential as an alternative REE source through the utilization of residual coal combustion ash. The presence of REE within the parting enables its accumulation and enrichment during the combustion process.

Abstract

Dengan adanya ketersediaan alat gali muat Hitachi ZX 350 sebesar 42% dan alat angkut Scania P380 sebesar 70% yang artinya penggunaan alat mekanis tidak optimal karena sering mengalami kerusakan menyebabkan target pengupasan overburden tidak tercapai. Pada perencanaan kegiatan operasi produksi, performa alat mekanis menjadi salah satu variabel penentu dalam tingkat keberhasilan pencapaian produksi. Dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut PT Mega Bara Semesta harus mempertimbangkan keputusan investasi dengan mengganti alat mekanis yang ada dalam upaya keberlanjutan proyek mengingat umur proyek memiliki sisa waktu operasional 3 tahun. Pertimbangan dalam analisis investasi diberikan dua alternatif yaitu dengan sewa atau membeli alat mekanis yang baru. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan menguji faktor finansial dengan analisis investasi menggunakan metode NPV, lalu hasil tersebut dianalisis dengan metode CBA membandingkan antara nilai ekuivalen dari semua potensi benefit dan biaya yang dibebankan kepada perusahaan. Hasil pada metode NPV menunjukkan bahwa pada alternatif beli akan bernilai –3,3 miliar rupiah dan alternatif sewa bernilai 3,17 miliar rupiah. Hasil pada metode CBA didapatkan nilai BCR pada alternatif sewa proyek bernilai 1,11 dan alternatif beli nilai BCR sebesar 0,92. Berdasarkan kriteria analisis NPV dan CBA menunjukkan hasil yang sama yang artinya jika perusahaan memilih investasi baru untuk sewa alat, maka proyek ini dapat diterima karena melewati titik balik dan mengalami keuntungan dibandingkan dengan investasi beli alat-alat mekanis yang baru.
