Abstract

Learning in elementary schools tends to focus on teachers so it is less empowering for students. Of course, this makes the low level of literacy process in student learning the purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of the use of video media as digital literacy on poster learning in elementary school. This study uses quantitative research methods using the pre-experimental method of design type one group pre-test and post-test. The subjects in the study were 10 grade III elementary school students consisting of 5 male students and 5 female students. The results of the study showed that the knowledge of students and students about poster material before and after the implementation of video media as digital literacy is remembered. Because learning videos are very helpful to students in understanding poster material. It can be concluded that the delivery of material through this video can indirectly improve digital literacy for students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent of understanding of financial literacy in improving saving behavior in elementary school students. The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative method. The results showed that the average post-test score of students was 71% greater than the average pre-test score of 35%, so the difference was 36%. On the basis of school indicators, financial literacy training has never been carried out and there has been no application of financial literacy values in learning. Therefore, this financial literacy program is implemented in order to improve saving behavior and can even be taken into consideration for study so that it can provide solutions in managing and making appropriate financial decisions. Starting from the curriculum level which is the basis for teaching, appropriate materials and materials, competent and dedicated teaching staff are needed for smooth implementation of financial literacy education in schools.

Abstract

Online learning is a new challenge for teachers and students, there must be many positive and negative impacts that occur, especially on the ability to read and write. This study aims to describe the impact of the implementation of online learning on the literacy skills of elementary school students based on previous studies and direct surveys of elementary school students to find out what impacts occur on students' literacy skills when learning is carried out online, both it's a positive or negative impact. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive design, while the research results are taken in the form of a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The results of this study showed an increase after being given material in the form of learning videos, but the role of the teacher during this online learning period was very important to continue to provide guidance and direct students so that their reading and writing skills remained good.

Abstract

Learning activities are very impactful in the Covid-19 Pandemic Era so students are directed to study at home. Assistance from educators is very important to develop good literacy. With the Thematic Community Service Program, the purpose it is hoped that there will be an increase in student interest in learning and make it easier for educators and parents to carry out online learning activities. Including the introduction of Pantun in improving Language Skills in the Ciparay Hilir Region which is carried out online. The method in this study uses quantitative research. The results of this study are still many students who do not know the type of poem (known as pantun). Students' understanding of Pantun material, Types, and Language Skills by delivering material via PowerPoint or YouTube which is done online, and using the google meet application with educators. The results of the research show that the average post-test score of students is 70% greater than the average pre-test score of 37%, so the difference is 43%. Therefore, during the Covid-19 pandemic, there were still many efforts to increase literacy.

Abstract

Indonesia has implemented online learning in the past 2 years as an effort to minimize the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. The purpose of this study is to determine and measure reading literacy skills by providing treatment which is expected to increase reading interest in school students. The implementation of this community service program is expected to increase student interest in learning and be able to help facilitate teachers and parents in guiding and assisting children in online learning. Included in literacy learning using the 4M method as an effort to increase student interest in reading in elementary schools with inclusive education is carried out online. The method in this study uses quantitative methods. The results showed that there are still many elementary school students who do not know and understand literacy learning using the 4M method. Students' understanding of literacy learning using the 4M method can be improved by providing material through learning videos that can be accessed on YouTube provided by educators. The results showed that the average post-test score of students was 87.0% greater than the average pre-test score of 47.75% with a difference of 39.25%. Therefore, core competencies can increase students' interest in reading literacy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to show whether WhatsApp groups can be one of the media for learning mixed arithmetic operations mathematics during the online learning process. This study uses a quantitative approach to the pre-experimental design method (one group pretest-posttest). The research subjects were 16 students of class VI Islamic elementary school. Students' knowledge of mixed arithmetic operations, when given a pretest, was 55.6%. After learning mixed arithmetic operations using the WhatsApp group, the post-test results increased to 57.5%. Based on these results, there was an increase in students' knowledge of 1.9%. This is because students understand learning using WhatsApp groups. So learning to use WhatsApp groups can slightly increase knowledge in mixed arithmetic operations.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses pembuatan crinoline sebagai garnitur pada busana pesta malam model strapless, dan mengetahui hasil penerapan crinoline sebagai garnitur pada busana pesta malam model strapless. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penciptaan karya yang terdiri dari empat tahap. Pertama, tahap pra-perancangan. Kedua, tahap perancangan. Ketiga, tahap perwujudan. Keempat, tahap penyajian. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: Proses pembuatan penerapan crinoline dan payet sebagai garnitur pada busana pesta malam model strapless menggunakan crinoline yang telah dilis dengan kain satin duchess dimulai dari membuat desain manipulating crinoline yang sesuai dengan bentuk sumber ide tanaman hias sukulen. Proses penerapan crinoline dan payet dimulai dengan kain crinoline yang dipotong sesuai pola. Kemudian dijahit teknik selusup atau blind stitch pada garis pinggang sesuai desain. Lalu mengatur peletakan payet menggunakan teknik pola asimetris. Hasil jadi penerapan crinoline sebagai garnitur pada busana pesta malam model strapless sesuai dengan sumber ide tanaman hias sukulen jenis Haworthia. Pemilihan karakteristik bahan menggunakan warna hijau botol serta manipulating crinoline dan payet membuat gaun terlihat kesan segar dan elegan. The aim of the research is to find out the process of making crinoline as a garniture in strapless model evening party dress, and to find out the results of applying crinoline as a garniture in strapless model evening party dress. The method used in this study is the creation of works consisting of four stages. First, the pre-design stage. Second, the design stage. Third, the embodiment stage. Fourth, the stage of serving. The results of this study are: The process of making the application of crinoline and sequins as a garniture in strapless model evening party dress using crinoline that has been dilated with duchess satin fabric starts from making crinoline manipulating designs that match the shape of the source of succulent ornamental plant ideas. The process of applying crinoline and sequins begins with crinoline fabric cut according to patterns. Then sewn the technique of sheath or blind stitch on the waistline according to the design. Then set the laying of the sequins using an asymmetrical pattern technique. The finished result of the application of crinoline as a garniture in strapless model evening party dress is in accordance with the source of the idea of Haworthia type succulent ornamental plants. The selection of material characteristics using bottle green colors as well as crinoline and sequin manipulating makes the dress look fresh and elegant.

Abstract

In the 21st century, globalization and digital transformation have changed life patterns significantly. Digital technology is now at the center of almost all aspects of life, including the education sector in Indonesia. Technological skills and readiness to face the job market demands are critical. Vocational education, including vocational schools, aims to equip students for global market competition but continues to encounter obstacles in enhancing the quality and relevance of its programs. The proposed solution is the development of flipbook- based learning media with Augmented Reality (AR) to increase student engagement and skills in this digital era. This study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach, involving a population of 149 vocational school students from West Java. The research results show that using Flipbook with AR produces an N-gain score of 74.3%. With this N-gain value, the VocAR-Flip model effectively improves vocational school students' learning outcomes, especially in academic achievement and conceptual understanding. This research can contribute to developing more interactive and efficient learning technology for future education.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan merupakan tindak lanjut dari program pendampingan SMK Pusat Keunggulan yang dilaksanakan di SMK Sukapura Tasikmalaya. Guru SMK PK keahlian busana yang berada di Tasikmalaya, dilihat dari sisi pengetahuan dan keterampilan mendesaian busana secara digital masih membutuhkan penguatan dan pengembangan. Kondisi ini merupakan salah satu dasar di dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian oleh dosen Prodi Pendidikan Tata Busana FPTI UPI. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, program pengabdian kepada masyarakat berbasis kepakaran bidang ilmu yang diusulkan ini bertujuan untuk mewujudkan program tindak lanjut dari hasil pendampingan SMK Pusat Keunggulan (PK) keahlian busana  yang dilakukan oleh Dosen  program Prodi  Pendidikan Tata Busana FPTI UPI. Dampak dari program ini diharapkan  meningkatnya kemampuan guru dan siswa keahlian busana di SMK PK Sukapura Tasikmalaya dalam mendesain busana secara digital menggunakan program “ Ibis Paint X. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan kaji tindak atau action research, melalui beberapa langkah, diantaranya: 1)Perencanaan, pada tahap ini, tim melakukan persiapan mulai dari penyusunan proposal, mencari data, potensi, permasalahan dan koordinasi dengan SMK PK sasaran program  Dinas terkait dan DUDIKA, 2) Pelaksanaan, Pada tahap pelaksanaan dilakukan Research, Action dan Evaluasi hasil pelatihan / pendampingan sebagai bahan di dalam penyusunan Research dan Action lanjutan untuk mewujudkan SMK PK keahlian busana, 3) Monitoring dilakukan  selama proses pelaksanan pelatihan/pendampingan dan pasca kegiatan selesai. 4) Evaluasi dan 5) Tindak lanjut. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dapat diamati adanya peningkatan kemampuan mendesain busana secara digital khususnya dengan Ibis Paint X  pada guru dan siswa di SMK Sukapura Tasikmalaya.

Abstract

Salah satu tokoh yang dapat dijadikan inspirasi untuk busana pesta malam adalah Drupadi dari serial “Mahabharata”. Serial ini mengisahkan seorang gadis yang lahir dari api, kemudian menjadi istri dari lima Pandawa, namun kehidupannya berubah drastis saat dipermalukan di hadapan para Kurawa di istana Hastinapura, sehingga menimbulkan konflik besar antara Pandawa dan Kurawa. Karakter Drupadi dikenal sebagai sosok yang cantik, cerdas, tegas, dan kuat. Busana yang dikenakan oleh Drupadi identik dengan hiasan brukat gold, dan busana ini diubah menjadi model mermaid untuk pesta malam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bentuk model dan keunikan busana Drupadi, yang dipadukan dengan teknik Decorative Trims pada garniture busana. Metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang digunakan mengikuti model PPE (perencanaan, produksi, dan evaluasi) yang dikembangkan oleh Richey dan Klein. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun busana terinspirasi oleh karakter Drupadi memiliki kualifikasi baik, dengan persentase penilaian dengan persentase 80% menurut penilaian Ahli Busana, produk ini masih perlu perbaikan. Dengan demikian, diharapkan hasil rancangan busana pesta malam yang mengeksplorasi tema Drupadi dapat menjadi referensi untuk busana pesta malam.
