Abstract

The article aims to discuss MUA’s strategies for presenting make-up on stage. The research uses qualitative methods, especially for the analysis of descriptive studies. The researcher collects the data by analyzing the makeup applied to the catwalk model. The treatments involve using reconstruction make-up. The results are that the catwalk model gets awesome makeup, especially on her eyes. The make-up stage helps cat walk models reduce their anxiety.

Abstract

The aim of writing this scientific article is to adapt the Dark Elf fashion style to be an evening party dress. Dark Elf is a Norse mythological creature famous for its skills in war through its fashion style. Multi-layered dark purple attire, body armor made of iron alloy with some carvings, attire decorations resembling spider webs, and head accessories made of metal alloy depict that Dark Elf fashion style not only prioritizes functions and strategies but also pays attention to aesthetics. Dark Elf fashion style can be a source of ideas for an evening party dress. This study used the Gustami method. The Gustami method was applied to create works of art, and it is divided into three stages. The first is exploration, searching for source ideas ideally, and reviewing references. The second is design, creating a mood board and design, as well as visualizing the concept through the prototype. The third is embodiment, which is realizing and evaluating work. The realized was a dark purple party attire, which consisted of a bustier, an inner blouse, asymmetrical peplum adorned with silver garniture, a cloak variation, and a full-circle skirt made of layered tulle. The attire was worn with a turban as a head covering and the placement of a headpiece. Based on the validation test from the academic and practitioner assessment, the results showed that the adaptation of the Dark Elf fashion style for evening party dress has a percentage of 78%, which is valid from the adaptation process to the realization process of the dress.

Abstract

Learning media is a success factor in the learning process. The use of interesting media is able to make students more focused in understanding the subject matter. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of stop motion animation learning media in understanding historical material for elementary school students. This study used a single subject activity method with a pre-test and post-test design. The subjects of this study were ten sixth grade elementary school students. Based on the post-test results, it shows that stop motion animation videos are very effective in increasing students' understanding of historical material. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test showed a significant increase in students' understanding of historical material. The results of this study showed that the use of stop motion animation media was very effective in improving the understanding of class VI student's elementary school in historical material about the proclamation moments. This happens because stop motion is an interesting medium with simple explanations that make the subject matter easier to understand.

Abstract

Online learning is a learning method by utilizing technology that allows direct interaction. With this activity, it is hoped that the effectiveness of learning sports through online methods can improve making it easier for educators and parents. Including sports learning at Harapan Bunda Kindergarten which is carried out online. The method in this study uses quantitative descriptive data collection techniques using questionnaires distributed via Google Form links. The results of this study indicate that: (1) student responses: (a) psychological complaints are: 70% bored and no complaints 30%, (b) understanding of sports learning materials: 50% easy to understand, 50% do not understand, (c ) the benefits of physical exercise learning: 70% felt and 30% did not feel, (d) Learning effectiveness: 40% said it was effective and 60% said it was not effective, (2) facilities and infrastructure: (a) the type of internet connection used by students: 70% use quota and 30% use WiFi, (b) problems while online: 60% say limited quota and 40% say network is unstable, (c) applications that are easy to use while online: 90% say whatsapp and 10% say zoom meeting, (3) student activities: (a) attitude when the teacher explains the material: 100% pays attention, (b) readiness to take part in online sports learning: 80% says ready and 20% says not ready, (c) attendance: 90% attends and 10% absent. Therefore, referring to engagement results from indicators of student activity, attitude, attendance, and readiness to learn shows high results, the effectiveness of online sports learning can be increased through infrastructure and the use of applications that are easy to use during the learning process.

Abstract

The fashion industry is currently experiencing rapid growth, with design innovation being one of the key factors attracting consumer attention. One technique that has been widely applied is fabric manipulation. Although this technique is well-known in the fashion world, its application in evening gowns remains limited. The aim of this work is to explore the application of the spiral fabric technique as an embellishment in women's evening gown design. The research method used is the Three Stage Design Process, which includes the stages of problem definition and research, creative exploration, and implementation. In the problem definition stage, a review of market needs and consumer preferences is conducted, specifically targeting women aged 20 to 30, who are often in the phase of exploring their personal identity and style. The creative exploration stage results in a design concept incorporating the spiral fabric technique, inspired by the movement of the fins and tail of the Danio Slayer fish. The fabric exploration reveals that organza is the most suitable material to create a dynamic and clearly defined spiral effect. The implementation stage leads to the realization of a design that combines both aesthetic and functional elements. Further development recommendations include exploring other fabrics and applying this technique to broader fashion designs to create more innovative and original worksABSTRAKIndustri fashion saat ini mengalami perkembangan pesat, dengan inovasi desain sebagai salah satu faktor utama yang menarik perhatian konsumen. Salah satu teknik yang banyak diterapkan adalah fabric manipulation. Meskipun teknik ini telah dikenal dalam dunia fashion, penerapannya pada evening gown masih terbatas. Penciptaan karya ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan teknik spiral fabric sebagai garnitur dalam desain evening gown wanita. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Three Stage Design Process, yang meliputi tahapan problem definition and research, creative exploration, dan implementation. Pada tahap problem definition, dilakukan tinjauan terhadap kebutuhan pasar dan preferensi konsumen, khususnya wanita berusia 20 hingga 30 tahun, yang sering berada dalam fase eksplorasi identitas diri dan gaya pribadi. Tahap creative exploration menghasilkan konsep desain dengan penerapan teknik spiral fabric yang terinspirasi dari gerakan sirip ekor ikan Danio Slayer. Hasil eksplorasi kain menunjukkan bahwa organza merupakan bahan yang paling tepat untuk menciptakan efek spiral yang dinamis dan terdefinisi dengan jelas. Tahap implementation kemudian mengarah pada realisasi desain yang memadukan elemen estetika dan fungsionalitas. Rekomendasi pengembangan lebih lanjut termasuk eksplorasi bahan lain dan penerapan teknik ini dalam desain busana yang lebih luas untuk menciptakan karya yang lebih inovatif dan orisinal.

Abstract

The development of science and technology currently meets all lines of human life, including the world of education. 21st century learning requires education to always keep up with the times. This study aims to determine students' understanding of social media and how to use it in learning. Then to find out to what extent students use Instagram social media well and wisely. This study uses quantitative methods. Data collection techniques in the form of pre-test and post-test. The results showed that students had knowledge and understanding of Instagram social media. Then students have the ability to operate social media for social studies learning, especially sociology material accompanied by creativity. In addition, students have begun to be wise in using social media. This can be obtained because students are enthusiastic in participating in activities. So that students can understand well. In addition, schools are already implementing online learning.

Abstract

The Education Era 4.0 has demanded students' to improve their literacy skills, especially elementary school Students'. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of the Youtube application as a learning medium to improve children's literacy skills. Unfortunately, until now there has been no research that discusses the Effectiveness of Using Youtube Applications as Learning Media to Increase the Reading and Writing Interests of Elementary School Students'. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach which is carried out through field research and interviews. In addition, we also conducted a literature study related to previous relevant research studies. Based on the results of the study, there was an increase in student learning outcomes by using Youtube as a learning medium. This shows that the presentation of creative learning materials can stimulate Students' interest and motivation which will have an impact on increasing Students' literacy skills. It can be concluded that the Youtube application has proven to be effective in presenting interesting learning videos so that it can increase the interest and literacy skills of elementary school Students'. This literacy and literacy ability will later be very useful for elementary school students' as a provision to support Students' in the 4.0 Education Era for a better future.

Abstract

The competence of students in Indonesia is still in a low rank based on their problem-solving and reasoning abilities. The pandemic condition forces distance learning to hinder the improvement of students' abilities if there is no innovation in learning that can help students to always be motivated in learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using TikTok as a learning media innovation to train computational thinking skills, especially in the distance learning process. The research method uses a quantitative approach with the target of 9th-grade junior high school students. The results of the study showed that the post-test average of students was 89.3%, increasing 32.2% from the pre-test results which only reached 57.1%. This shows that short videos uploaded through TikTok can be an effective and innovative learning media.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan memperkuat personal branding mahasiswa melalui pelatihan keterampilan perawatan wajah dan tata rias. Kegiatan ini penting karena banyak mahasiswa belum memiliki kesadaran dan kemampuan dalam mengelola penampilan profesional yang mendukung kesiapan kerja. Mitra kegiatan adalah mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia yang membutuhkan peningkatan kompetensi non-akademik guna menunjang performa akademik dan profesional. Pelaksanaan pengabdian menggunakan metode andragogi dan experiential learning melalui ceramah interaktif, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, diskusi, dan pendampingan instruktur ahli. Peserta dilibatkan secara aktif dalam setiap tahap pembelajaran agar mampu mengintegrasikan teori dan praktik secara reflektif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan, keterampilan teknis, serta kepercayaan diri peserta. Program ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap kesadaran pentingnya perawatan diri dan citra profesional, sekaligus memperkuat peran perguruan tinggi dalam memberdayakan mahasiswa untuk menghadapi dunia kerja dengan lebih siap, percaya diri, dan berdaya saing.

pada permukaan kain. Inovasi busana pesta malam resmi terinspirasi dari busana yang dikenakan Princess Fiona dalam film animasi Shrek (2002). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) untuk mendeskripsikan proses penerapan aplikasi payet dengan motif garuda mungkur pada busana pesta malam resmi. 2). Untuk mendeskripsikan hasil jadi inovasi busana pesta malam resmi sesuai sumber ide busana Princess fiona dengan menerapkan aplikasi payet bermotif garuda mungkur. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian penciptaan karya, yang terdiri atas 4 tahapan yakni pra-perancangan, perancangan, perwujudan, dan penyajian. Hasil penelitian menyatakan: 1) hasil jadi busana Princess Fiona setelah dilakukan proses inovasi terdapat pada perubahan beberapa aspek yang mengubah kesan busana santai menjadi busana untuk kesempatan pesta malam, baik dari segi perubahan model, teknik pemasangan garnitur dan motif dengan menggunakan motif Garuda Mungkur yang memperhatikan aspek filosofis, estetika, dan teknik lekapan payet dalam membuat busana inovasi menjadikan busana sebagai mahakarya seni disamping fungsi praktisnya.
