Abstract

The face is one of the media to identify someone, a human face has a very high level of variability. Many methods have been introduced by researchers and scientists in recognizing one's face, one of the methods introduced is the Feature Extraction of Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) and Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ). GLCM feature extraction is used for data extraction/learning process whereas a data analysis process (face recognition, cropping and storing data) the LVQ method is used for the data training process where the data that has been processed in GLCM feature extraction which still has large dimensions are processed to be smaller dimensions. So this test uses data of 190 photos and gets a match of 90%, the authors conclude that the GLCM feature extraction and LVQ method can very well recognize faces contained in the database.

Abstract

The Yuliddin Away Regional General Hospital as an institution that conducts individual health services in a complete manner often experiences obstacles in providing maximum services to the community. So that in some cases, received complaints from the public. So far, these complaints are accommodated with complaint boxes in each service division, but this method is difficult to get accurate information and relatively takes a long time. The use of information and communication technology in the form of applications is expected to improve responsive and informative service quality. Through the Android-based Complaints application, it is easy for the public to provide advice and criticism of the services of Yuliddin Away Hospital. Implementation procedures include observation, problem identification, literature study, design, system development, and application. The communication mechanism between the user and the system uses an interface. The application interface for public complaints at Yuliddin Away Regional Hospital includes Admin Flowchart Design, User Flowchart Design, Use Case Design, and Database Design. The application is very helpful for hospital staff in managing community complaints as suggestions in weekly and monthly meetings in order to improve the quality of Yuliddin Away hospital services.

Abstract

The problem formulation in this research are a) what is the level of students' ability in mastering the concept of Survey and mapping ?, and b) what difficulties do students experience in mastering the concept of Survey and Mapping?. The research approach uses both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research procedure goes through several stages, namely a) preparation stage, b) problem formulation stage, c) data collection stage, d) data analysis stage, and e) research results. The population in this study is students of the Industrial Engineering Study Program of South Aceh Polytechnic, while samples are students of semester II of the Academic Year 2020/2021 Industrial Engineering Study Program as many as 1 (one) class. Research is conducted at South Aceh Polytechnic. The instruments in this research are test questions and interview guidelines. Data collection techniques in this study used tests and interviews. Hypothesis testing of students' ability level in understanding survey and mapping subjects (tests) using right-hand t-test at a significance level of 0.05 with acceptance criteria H0 if t t(1-α) and H0 declined for t other values. Interview data were analyzed with the following stages 1) reducing the data, 2) presenting the data, and 3) concluding the data. External must be in the form of an accredited national journal ranked 1- 6 which is published in the Journal of Innovation and Engineering Technology with the information accepted/published. Technology Readiness Level (TKT) is 3. The results of data analysis performed at a significant level α = 0,05 gained and = 1,73, so or 2,51 > 1,73. Thus, it can be concluded that students of the Industrial Engineering Study Program of South Aceh Polytechnic are able to master the concept of survey and mapping courses

Abstract

Making this application aims to create an application that can accommodate historical stories in South Aceh in the form of a reading application that is easily accessible. The making of this application is made with a programming language that is processed into an application that contains historical stories obtained from various sources as well as from narrators or historical storybooks in South Aceh. From the development of this application, a lot of knowledge was gained from historical stories in South Aceh. Making this application produces an application that includes useful and historical stories so that all historical stories in South Aceh are not lost and forgotten and can also be accessed easily by anyone.

Abstract

Information security related to computer use cannot be separated from cryptography. Hill cipher is an application of modulo arithmetic in cryptography. This cryptography technique uses a square matrix as the key used to carry out encryption and decryption. This cryptographic technique was created with the intention of being able to create ciphers (codes) that cannot be broken using frequency analysis techniques. Hill Cipher does not replace each of the same letters in the plaintext with other letters that are the same in the ciphertext because it uses matrix multiplication as a basis for encryption and decryption. Hill Cipher cryptography is a type of classic cryptography that uses a substitution method by providing random keys and the number is the same as the plaintext. The use of encryption and decryption using the Hill cipher algorithm is to help secure data so that it is not easily falsified or accessed by irresponsible people by changing the original image into a different form where the image is not easy to recognize. The encryption and decryption process was designed using the Java programming language using NetBeans 8.2 and the Hill Cipher algorithm to encrypt RGB digital images

Abstract

This Decision Support System (DSS) is designed to evaluate land suitability for horticultural crops, specifically legumes, using a combination of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and VIKOR (Vise Kriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje) methods. The system aids farmers in determining the appropriate crops based on the available land conditions. The research includes problem identification, literature review, data collection, and system design. The implementation of the AHP-VIKOR methods has proven effective and accurate in providing horticultural crop recommendations. This system adds value to modern and efficient agricultural land management. The research results show that the AHP-VIKOR methods successfully applied in determining the suitability of land for legumes in the areas of Bireun, Bukit Rata, Sawang, and Pesisir Pelabuhan Kreung Geukuh with satisfactory outcomes. Therefore, the AHP-VIKOR methods are considered optimal for weighting criteria and ranking alternatives in selecting land for legume crops

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi digital menjadi solusi strategis dalam mendukung pengelolaan pertanian dan pemasaran hasil tani. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas petani melalui pengenalan dan implementasi aplikasi berbantuan teknologi informasi. Pelatihan ini dilakukan secara bertahap, dimulai dari seminar dan lokakarya, demonstrasi langsung, hingga pendampingan praktik lapangan. Peserta pengabdian dibekali kemampuan dalam menggunakan aplikasi untuk melihat produktivitas petani waktu tanam dan jadwal tanam. Selain itu, aplikasi web yang dijelaskan memungkinkan petani memasarkan produk secara langsung kepada konsumen tanpa perantara, sehingga meningkatkan pendapatan. Kegiatan ini juga mendukung adopsi metode pertanian yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan kenaikan peserta lebih mengetahui dan lebih percaya diri dalam menggunakan teknologi, meskipun terdapat tantangan seperti literasi digital yang rendah dan akses internet yang terbatas. Solusi berupa pelatihan intensif, penyediaan hotspot internet sementara, dan panduan digital mampu mengatasi kendala tersebut. Dengan pendekatan menyeluruh, kegiatan ini berhasil mentransformasi sektor pertanian menjadi lebih modern, kompetitif, dan berkelanjutan, memberikan dampak positif signifikan terhadap efisiensi operasional dan kesejahteraan petani petani garam.

Abstract

India's natural beauty and culture, which attract the attention of international tourists, are less able to increase tourist visits due to high crime cases. Tourists' fear of visiting the country has a direct impact on decreasing economic turnover, so the local economy has become very low. Predictions of criminal cases aim to provide an overview of cases that will occur in the next period, therefore the government can take appropriate policies to reduce crime cases. These predictions enable policymakers to plan strategic and data-based preventive measures. The method used is the Fuzzy Time Series Model Chen, because this method can overcome data uncertainty, and offers simplicity and ease in application. Valid and credible criminal statistics data in India is obtained from the site www.kaggle.com. A trusted platform that provides various quality datasets. This data will be used as a basis for the analysis and prediction of criminal cases in India. The results of this research show that in the range of 60 months from January 2020 to December 2024 using the Fuzzy Time Series Chen Model method to predict the number of criminal cases in India produced predictions in January 2025 with cases of 188.36 cases with a MAPE error ratio of 9.08% which is included in outstanding forecasting category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pengembangan aplikasi tes kemampuan siswa untuk mengidentifikasi minat dan potensi mereka di SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe. Tujuan utamanya adalah mengatasi tantangan dalam menilai minat dan kemampuan siswa secara cepat dan akurat, serta mendukung personalisasi pembelajaran. Aplikasi berbasis web dan mobile dikembangkan menggunakan teknologi React, Express.js, dan Dart, menyediakan alat diagnostik komprehensif dan visualisasi data yang mudah dipahami. Metodologi meliputi perancangan aplikasi, pengumpulan data, analisis menggunakan teknik statistik dan machine learning, serta implementasi dan pelatihan. Hasil awal menunjukkan distribusi kemampuan belajar siswa yang bervariasi, dengan mayoritas berada pada level Medium. Tantangan implementasi seperti keterbatasan anggaran dan variasi kemampuan teknologi staf diatasi melalui solusi seperti pelatihan intensif dan implementasi bertahap. Hasil Pengabdian ini aplikasi ini berpotensi signifikan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui pendekatan yang lebih personal dan efektif dalam pendidikan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using ArchiCAD software as a tool for interactive 3D visualization in the context of learning media for building drawing engineering. Traditional methods of teaching technical drawing often rely on two-dimensional representations, which can limit students’ spatial understanding and comprehension of complex architectural forms. By integrating ArchiCAD, a Building Information Modeling (BIM)-based software, students are exposed to a more immersive and realistic learning experience, enabling them to visualize construction elements more clearly. The research employs a quasi-experimental method involving two groups: an experimental group using ArchiCAD-based interactive media and a control group using conventional methods. Data collection was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests, as well as student perception questionnaires. The results indicate a significant improvement in the learning outcomes of the experimental group, both in terms of cognitive understanding and design skills. Furthermore, student responses show a high level of satisfaction and engagement when using 3D interactive media. These findings suggest that ArchiCAD can be effectively implemented as a digital learning medium in vocational and technical education settings, especially in the field of architectural drawing. The study recommends broader integration of BIM-based tools to support competency-based learning and enhance the quality of engineering education.
