Abstract

Students at STMIK Bina Sarana Global is given TOEIC as one of compulsory subjects. However, after four years since TOIEC was taught, students had not significantly improved both their analytical skill of the question items as expected and in the targeted minimum score as to be achieved. The teaching materials have undergone changes for three times. Nevertheless, students still find the textbooks hard to understand, resulting in the low score students gained, particularly in the Reading section. This research is aimed at designing teaching materials to assist students in developing their analytical skill, with ADDIE as its research Method.  ADDIE which encompasses five phases -- Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation became the basis analytical skill from which this in-depth research was conducted. The TOEIC Reading Skills textbook provides the content of units, which commences from the warm up activity, followed by topic explanation, to practice tests and word lists. Twenty students as the subjects of this research and a group of 6 lecturers served as evaluators whom were involved for the purpose of giving more thorough analyses towards the book content. Implementing mixed-method research in the data collections and analyses, the development of the teaching materials has been proven to be valid, effective, and practical.  Students felt at ease comprehending the explanation, grew their interest in relation to the teaching materials and performance well on the practice test. As a result, they have shown significant improvement in sharpening their analytical skill towards the Reading question items and in obtaining a higher score. These were proven from the Post-Test, class discussions, interview, and questionnaire results.

Abstract

Salah satu teknik rekomendasi yang telah sukses dan banyak digunakan yaitu collaborative filtering. Collaborative filtering dapat dibagi menjadi dua metode utama yaitu user based dan item based. Pada umumnya kedua metode tersebut belum memiliki fitur untuk mengakomodasi item baru. Oleh karena itu digunakan metode alternatif yang disebut user-item based collaborative filtering. Metode ini memberikan rekomendasi berdasarkan urutan teratas nilai prediksi rating yang dihasilkan oleh sistem. Metode ini menggunakan algoritma missing-value pada perhitungan prediksi rating dan tidak memerlukan proses pembentukan neighborhood. Kelemahan dari metode user-item based collaborative filtering adalah ketika pengujian dilakukan dengan pengukuran error menggunakan normalized mean absolute error (NMAE), hasil yang diperoleh NMAE cukup tinggi. Dengan melakukan perbaikan pada rumus prediksi missing value algorithm (MVA) menjadi adjusted MVA, metode user-item based collaborative filtering, dalam pengujian terbukti dapat menurunkan NMAE dan mengurangi jumlah prediksi diluar range nilai rating. Sebagai studi kasus metode user-item based ini diterapkan pada sistem rekomendasi wisata kuliner di BSD. Hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh prediksi yang cukup akurat dengan akurasi 83 % (6 neighbor).

Abstract

In every company, employees are an essential element. To be able to find out whether employees are competent or not, an employee performance appraisal is needed. Employee appraisal is critical, not only because it is a determining factor in employee wage increases and promotions but also because it can evaluate skills. However, the current employee appraisal process still needs to be more objective and accurate, and it takes a long time, and there are many possibilities for human error. This study aims to design a decision support system in determining the best employees using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods. The AHP method is used to calculate the weight of each parameter, and TOPSIS is used to perform the ranking process based on the parameter weighting results. The results of this study found that the best employees were employees with the alternative code A3, with a value of 0.74271.

Abstract

Kurangnya literasi keuangan di kalangan masyarakat terutama pada siswa, menunjukkan perluasan kesenjangan dalam pemahaman keuangan yang sehat. Hal ini dapat membuat pengeluaran yang tidak efektif dan kurangnya pencatatan transaksi sering kali menjadi penyebab utama masalah keuangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempermudah proses pencatatan dan pengelolaan keuangan pribadi secara efektif dan mudah. Metode penelitian dalam pembuatan aplikasi “saveRP” melibatkan observasi, wawancara, literature review dan kuesioner dengan tahapan perancangan aplikasi model waterfall. Dengan menggunakan aplikasi mobile “saveRP untuk mencatat dan mengelola pengeluaran pribadi ini rata-rata sebesar 91% dari 23 responden menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini mendapat respon positif sebagai media yang efektif mengelola keuangan pribadi. Maka, aplikasi mobile berbasis Android ini menjadi salah satu cara yang efektif dalam mengelola keuangan pribadi dengan mudah.

Abstract

Introduction: Narcotics are substances or drugs that are both natural, synthetic, and semi-synthetic that cause the effects of decreased consciousness, hallucinations, and arousal, these illegal drugs can trigger various harmful impacts on health. Drug abuse can lead to memory loss to death. Online gambling is a game that is usually in the form of cards in an application or website. Through this game, players put money collateral to be used as betting material and hope to get a lot of profit. Although tempting, playing online gambling has a big impact that players often do not realize. Objective: Community Service Activities (PKM) aim to help increase knowledge about the side effects of drug use and online gambling. Method: This PKM is carried out by providing counseling education using an approach to students with a total of 94 respondents ResultThe level of knowledge about drugs and online gambling before being given education was in the good to less good category, but after being given education and a post-test, it increased to be better than before. Abstract

Perkembangan materi e-learning yang mengikuti perkembangan teknologi yang masih terbatas dan materi yang digunakan guru dalam kegiatan pembelajarannya terbatas pada buku untuk siswa dan buku untuk guru. Hal ini berdasarkan hasil survei yang telah dilakukan di SMK Bina Mandiri bahwa belum menggunakan e-learning.  Upaya dan tindakan yang sesuai dengan situasi saat ini diperlukan berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan yang harus diberikan untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra. Kegiatan ini bertujuan agar para guru dapat membuat materi e-learning berdasarkan keahliannya. Metode dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diikuti oleh 13 guru-guru di SMK Bina Mandiri dan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 sampai 20 Agustus 2022 selama 5 (lima) hari secara luring berupa suatu pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini pendampingan dan pelatihan untuk menggunakan aplikasi e-learning. Kegiatan pengabdian ini terlaksana dengan baik berdasarkan hasil Kegiatan pengabdian ini terlaksana dengan baik terbukti dengan adanya pengabdian setelah kegiatan selesai. Selain itu, peserta kegiatan masih membutuhkan pelatihan serupa dengan menggunakan aplikasi e-learning jenis lain. Increasing the Productivity of Vocational High School Teachers to Increase Potential in Facing the Digital Economy through Creativity in Making E-Learning Teaching Materials  The competence of teachers in developing current e-learning teaching materials following technological developments is still very limited, and the teaching materials used by teachers in learning activities are only limited to student books and teacher books. Efforts and actions following the current situation are needed in the form of training and assistance as a form of community service that needs to be done to bridge the existing problems. This community service activity has the aim that teachers can make e-learning teaching materials based on their expertise. The method of implementing this service consists of the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. This service activity was attended by 13 teachers at Bina Mandiri Vocational School and was held from 15 to 20 August 2022 for 5 (five) days offline in the form of training and mentoring. The results of this service activity include: 1) Providing training so that teachers know the competence of their respective fields to develop e-learning teaching materials according to competencies. 2) Can guide teachers to create e-learning teaching materials concepts according to their field of expertise. 3) Assist teachers in making e-learning teaching materials following the concepts that have been made. 4) Can provide knowledge about any platforms used as e-learning teaching materials. This service activity was carried out well, as evidenced by the service participants' reactions after completing it. In addition, activity participants still need similar training using other media or e-learning applications.

Abstract

Nirwana Bouquet merupakan florist online di Tangerang yang menerapkan model pembayaran “Request Sepuasnya, Bayar Seikhlasnya.” Model pembayaran fleksibel ini menimbulkan tantangan pencatatan transaksi karena sebelumnya hanya dilakukan secara manual melalui media sosial, sehingga menyulitkan pelacakan pendapatan, pengelolaan stok, dan laporan keuangan. Penelitian ini merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem informasi pencatatan penjualan berbasis web yang sesuai dengan model pembayaran dinamis dan kebutuhan UMKM. Metode yang digunakan adalah R&D dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan PHP Native dan MySQL, dengan fitur manajemen pelanggan, produk, material, stok, transaksi, laporan, dan pengelolaan akses pengguna. Sistem saat ini dijalankan oleh owner sebagai single-user, namun dirancang untuk mendukung multi-user di masa depan. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan sistem berhasil mengotomatisasi pencatatan transaksi dan penggunaan material, menghasilkan laporan keuangan berkala, serta meningkatkan efisiensi dan akuntabilitas. Abstract

Entering the era of globalization, education has undergone many changes. Education today is far more advanced than in the past, which was more conventional and did not yet utilize technology, resulting in many difficulties in accessing new knowledge. Now, technology has brought many innovations and new breakthroughs in learning media, one of which is the innovation of website-based accounting learning with real-time journaling simulations created by researchers. Researchers used literature studies to facilitate researchers in collecting data and UML (Unified Modeling Language) as a system design method that made it easier for researchers to create an overview of the running system. The ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) was also applied as a method for system design and systematic development of educational systems. With this method, researchers can create learning media that makes it easier for users to learn accounting journaling and financial reporting. In addition, researchers hope that users can better understand journaling through the system that has been created.
