Abstract

Tantangan lingkungan yang semakin kompleks, proses pembelajaran yang berfokus pada peningkatan karakter lingkungan menjadi sangat penting untuk diterapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa Sekolah Dasar melalui penerapan kurikulum merdeka yang terintegrasi dengan tradisi lisan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model spiral Kemmis dan McTaggart. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 21 siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar, yang terlibat dalam dua siklus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka yang terintegrasi dengan tradisi lisan berhasil meningkatkan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa, dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 56 pada pra-siklus menjadi 94 pada siklus II, mencerminkan peningkatan sebesar 38 poin. Partisipasi aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran kurikulum merdeka terintegrasi tradisi lisan berkontribusi signifikan terhadap karakter peduli lingkungan siswa.

Abstract

Etika lingkungan sangat penting untuk dimiliki siswa. Namun, guru masih mengalami beberapa hambatan dalam penerapan pembelajaran etika lingkungan yang sesuai dengan kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hambatan guru dalam menerapkan pembelajaran etika lingkungan yang sesuai dengan kurikulum merdeka di sekolah dasar. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 12 guru sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Simeulue. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru mengalami 8 hambatan dalam penerapan pembelajaran etika lingkungan yang sesuai dengan kurikulum merdeka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan, validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa. Adapun permasalahan yang didapati kurangnya inovasi dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian dari penelitian pengembangan media pembelajaran komik digital adalah guru dan 21 siswa kelas IV SDN 13 Langsa, Ahli Materi, Ahli Bahasa, Ahli Media dan Ahli Soal. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, angket dan tes. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) Pengembangan media komik digital meliputi lima tahap yaitu tahap analisis, tahap desain, tahap pengembangan, tahap implementasi dan tahap evaluasi. (2) Tingkat kevalidan media pembelajaran komik digital berorientasi STEM mendapatkan hasil 91,6%, dengan kategori “Sangat Valid” (3) Penilaian kepraktisan mendapatkan hasil persentase sebesar 94,48% dengan kategori skala “Sangat Praktis”. (4) Penilaian efektivitas dengan Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal. Uji Paired Sample T-Test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara pretest dan posttest. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,68 termasuk dalam kategori sedang, dengan efektivitas sebesar 67,86% yang menunjukkan bahwa media tergolong cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa. Dari hasil yang didapati, media komik digital berorientasi STEM dinyatakan valid, layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran keterampilan membaca pemahaman bagi siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid digital assessment model using a STEM-based approach to effectively measure higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) among prospective elementary school teachers. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method, adapted from the Borg & Gall model, involving expert validation, preliminary field testing, and main field testing at Universitas Samudra’s Elementary Teacher Education program. Instrument validity was examined through the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) test and correlation analysis among indicators. The results showed that the developed model achieved high validity, with strong KMO values and significant indicator correlations, confirming its construct soundness. Additionally, the model enabled real-time feedback, enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and application of HOTS in STEM-related tasks. The discussion highlights how integrating technology and STEM principles into assessment design supports more interactive and reflective learning. The model also addressed challenges in traditional HOTS assessment, such as lack of immediacy and contextual relevance. In conclusion, the STEM-based HOTS digital assessment model provides an effective and practical tool for evaluating prospective teachers' higher-order thinking, offering significant implications for improving teacher education and elementary classroom practices.

Abstract

Studi ini menawarkan informasi mendalam tentang paradigma pembelajaran yang membantu meningkatkan pemahaman matematika. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pendekatan Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBL) memengaruhi pemahaman aritmatika siswa kelas empat di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 7 Langsa. Rendahnya tingkat pemahaman matematika di antara siswa dan ketidakefisienan metode pembelajaran yang dapat melibatkan siswa secara aktif adalah kekuatan pendorong di balik studi ini. Studi ini menggunakan metodologi kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain eksperimen pretest-posttest dengan satu kelompok. Sebanyak dua puluh siswa kelas empat berpartisipasi dalam studi ini. Pertanyaan pretest dan posttest berbasis esai digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Uji-t berpasangan digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Skor rata-rata siswa meningkat secara signifikan dari 62,65 pada pretest menjadi 88,25 pada posttest, menurut data. Mengingat nilai signifikansi (p) dari uji hipotesis kurang dari 0,001, H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima. Akibatnya, penggunaan metodologi Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah secara signifikan meningkatkan kapasitas siswa dalam pemahaman matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ interest in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in the third grade at Langsa 3 Public Elementary School. The background of this study is based on the low level of student interest in learning, caused by the use of conventional teaching models, which results in students being less active and easily bored during the learning process. This study employs a quantitative approach using a posttest-only control group design. The population consists of all 40 third-grade students at Langsa State Elementary School 3, with the sample comprising Class IIIA as the experimental group and Class IIIB as the control group. Data collection utilized a learning interest questionnaire with a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using an independent samples t-test. The results indicate that students’ learning interest in third-grade IPAS instruction at Langsa State Elementary School 3 is significantly influenced by the implementation of the PBL model. The average score for the experimental class that implemented the PBL model was 55.35, while the score for the control class was 43.80. Therefore, the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model can be considered a better alternative.

Abstract

This study aims to develop digital flipbook learning media on the element of reading folk tales for fourth-grade students of SDN 2 Meurandeh and to determine the level of feasibility and practicality in the learning process. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) type with the ADDIE model consisting of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were fourth-grade students of SDN 2 Meurandeh. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The instruments used included validation questionnaires from material experts, media experts, linguists, and student and teacher response questionnaires. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using a Likert scale. The results of the study showed that the developed media obtained a validation percentage of material experts of 83.33%, linguists of 88.88%, and media experts of 88.33% with very feasible criteria. In addition, the results of the practicality test showed a percentage of student responses of 89.2% and teacher responses of 86.66% with very practical criteria. The developed digital flipbook media is able to make learning more interesting and help students understand the material of reading folk tales. Thus, this media can be used as an alternative medium for Indonesian language learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited availability of mathematics assessment instruments capable of measuring students' numeracy literacy skills through contextual problems. The assessment instruments commonly used in mathematics learning tend to emphasize computational skills and conceptual mastery, providing limited opportunities for students to apply mathematical concepts to real-life situations. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a mathematics assessment instrument based on numeracy literacy using a contextual approach for third-grade elementary school students and to determine its validity and practicality. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The research subjects included expert validators, a third-grade teacher, and nine third-grade students at SD Negeri 7 Langsa. Data were collected through observations, interviews, validation questionnaires, and response questionnaires from teachers and students. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis. The findings revealed that the developed assessment instrument obtained a validity score of 78% from the material expert, categorized as valid, 94% from the evaluation expert, categorized as highly valid, and 100% from the language expert, categorized as highly valid. The practicality test showed a score of 97% based on the teacher's assessment and an average score of 96% based on students' responses, both of which were classified as highly practical. These findings indicate that the mathematics assessment instrument based on numeracy literacy with a contextual approach is valid and highly practical, making it appropriate for use as an alternative assessment instrument in mathematics learning for third-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Students Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in mathematics require improvement, necessitating the use of innovative learning models. This study aimed to determine the effect of a gamification-based Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the HOTS of fourth-grade elementary school students, specifically in mathematics. A quantitative approach with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design was employed, involving 21 fourth-grade students from SDN 2 Paya Bujok Tunong. Data were collected using HOTS-based tests and analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results indicate that the implementation of the gamification-based PBL model had a significant effect on students' HOTS, with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.001. Thus, the gamification-based PBL model significantly influences fourth-grade students' HOTS in mathematics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada pembelajaran matematika kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, dan Evaluate. Subjek uji coba penelitian adalah 28 siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 5 Langsa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, angket, dan tes. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif persentase dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis Project Based Learning memperoleh rata-rata tingkat kevalidan sebesar 96% dengan kategori sangat layak, tingkat kepraktisan sebesar 100% berdasarkan respon guru dan 96,4% berdasarkan respon siswa dengan kategori sangat praktis. Hasil uji keefektifan menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata pretest dari 31,40 menjadi 83,78 pada posttest, dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,76 yang termasuk kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian, LKPD berbasis Project Based Learning dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif pada uji coba terhadap 28 siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 5 Langsa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada materi pola gambar dan pola bilangan.
