Abstract

This study aims to: analyze the student learning outcomes using the problem-based learning model, compare to the student learning outcomes using the direct learning model. The type of this study is experimental research that is the factorial design. The study population is all of the students in class X. Therefore, the research sa DLMes are the students of Class X of Culinary Art 1 as the experimental class and the students of Class X of Culinary Art 2 as the control class. The researcher analyzed the data using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) two-way Anova after accoDLMishing the normality and homogeneity test requirement. Based on the result of hypothesis test using ANOVA technique, the researcher found that: (1) the student learning outcomes of cognitive aspects using problem-based learning model was significantly higher than the student learning outcomes using the direct learning model.

Abstract

The study aims to determine student learning outcomes with direct and problem-based learning models,to determine differences in student outcomes with intelligence levels in direct and problem-based learning models, and analyze the relationship between intelligence levels and direct learning models and problem-based learning models. The method  used in this study was experimentation using factorial research design. The design used is 2x2 factorial design, as this design can be used to see students ' learning outcomes before they are given learning and after learning. The results of the study found that: (1) Student learning outcomes using PBL  models are significantly higher than those using MPL;(2) student learning outcomes who have higher mathematic logic intelligence using  PBL  models  are significantly higher than students who are taught with MPL models;(3)student learning outcomes who have lower mathematic logic intelligence using MPL models are significantly higher than students who are taught with PBL models;(4) There is a significant interaction between the level of intelligence of mathematical logic, learning models in student learning outcomes. The study concluded that:  (1)  The  PBL  learning  model  can  increase  the  student learning outcomes than MPL models;  (2)  Students  who  have  a  higer mathematic logic intelligence using PBL models, higher learning outcomes than student with MPL models;(3) student who have a lower mathematic logic intelligence using MPL models, higher learning outcomes than student with PBL model, and (4) there is an interaction between the level of intelligence of mathematical logic, learning models in student learning outcomes

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred had various impacts in all sectors, one of which was in the education sector. Learning that was originally face-to-face should be replaced with distance learning to reduce the spread of the virus. SMK is a school whose graduates are expected to be able to have the competence to be ready for work. To overcome this, a combination of learning with hybrid learning (online and face-to-face) is needed. The purpose of this article is to examine the application of hybrid learning in Automotive Engineering Vocational Schools in pandemic masses. The method of this article is a literature review. Hybrid learning during the Covid-19 pandemic was deemed effective in improving the quality of the process and learning achievement of Automotive Engineering Vocational School students. Keywords: hybrid learning, quality of learning process, learning achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to gauge the degree of knowledge that high school students pursuing vocational training have about using artificial intelligence in the classroom and to pinpoint the variables that impact that knowledge. As artificial intelligence (AI) permeates more and more industrial sectors, it is imperative that vocational high school students understand AI and be prepared for its future. Using a mixed-methods approach, this study included 500 Indonesian students enrolled in vocational high schools who represented a range of academic levels through qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys. The study's conclusions show that students at vocational high schools have differing levels of comprehension about artificial intelligence (AI), with a variety of factors like socioeconomic status, school curriculum, and access to technology playing a major influence. The research's ramifications include suggestions for creating more efficient.

Abstract

This research aims to develop teaching practice program model for mechanical engineering education teacher trainees of State University of Surabaya. This research applied research and development (R & D) design by Borg & Gall in ten steps which are classified into two stages: research and data collection and product development. The research and data collection were conducted by applying qualitative approach through observation, interview, documentation on seven State "˜LPTK', education office, teacher profession association, teaching practice student, teaching practice supervising lecturer, headmaster, and teacher tutor. The data analysis in this stage was conducted based on the technique developed by Miles and Huberman. Data validity was tested with data triangulation using double sources as comparison. The product development stage included model pre-design making, introductory test, model revision, model test, model revision, field test, and final model revision. First stage model test was conducted in mechanical engineering department with three vocational schools. The second stage model test was conducted in mechanical engineering department with six vocational schools. The last  is dissemination stage in the form of spreading the model yielded from the product development to professionals, authorities, and policy makers. The result at this research is a teaching practice model called "KPrIP2" which consists of four main product components. "K" means partnership between Mechanical Engineering Department of State University of Surabaya and the education office of province/ regency/city in continuous planning, action, and evaluation. "Pr" means pre-teaching practice in which the students do introductory activities in vocational schools to observe and coordinate with the school's department to determine who will be the teacher tutor and what material/subject to be used in the teaching practice II. "I" means that all pre-teaching practice activities, starting from classroom peer-teaching, laboratory peer-teaching, microteaching, and real teaching in vocational school, are conducted individually and independently. "P2" means that teaching service activities must be supervised by competent/professional advisors, i.e. who have the same pedagogical and major background with the students who do the teaching practice and play role as the supervising lecturer of teaching practice I which is continued to be the advisor in teaching practice II. Teaching practice model "KPrIP2" is claimed to be effective to reach the teaching practice objectives but inefficient in budgeting.
