Abstract

Paradigm changes occur over time, especially earthquakes and tsunamis in Indonesia. This paradigm transformation is also influenced by changes in people's views that have shifted from conventional to holistic. Thus, this study aims to describe the paradigm determinants and theories of disaster sociology. The study of this article uses the literature study method, Data types, namely using secondary data, such as library materials. Problem data analysis is analyzed according to the research problem. Then the results of the research are compiled, analyzed, and drawn conclusions. This research study shows that disaster management involves concepts, conclusions and analysis from various disciplines, including sociology. Understanding the patterns of individual or community knowledge about disaster threats and how they deal with them is very important in disaster planning and preparedness activities. Sociological perspectives, both paradigms and theories, are not just knowledge, but guidelines in designing programs, setting priorities, and developing sustainable disaster management implementation strategies are a must. Proper implementation and strategy are effective responses and build sustainable preparedness in dealing with potential disaster risks.

Abstract

The purpose of the article research is to describe the contribution of housewives of farming families in increasing family income, and the efforts that underlie the dual role of housewife in the public and domestic spheres. The research method used is qualitative descriptive method. Primary data retrieval techniques are through observation, in-depth informant interviews, and secondary data are retrieved through documentation tracking. The non-probality sampling technique was used and then purposive sampling was drawn, based on several criteria to see the contribution of the dual role of farmer wives in increasing income as housewives. The research output of the article shows that the dual role of housewife farming families in the public sphere, such as participating in making a living by working with their husbands in cultivating their farm land to earn income, both money and goods in order to meet family needs. Meanwhile, the dual role of housewife for farming families in the domestic realm, namely in terms of supporting family welfare needs, by managing family needs every day, and doing household chores such as taking care of children and husbands, cooking, washing and so on. Then the obstacles faced by the dual role of housewife farming families to improve their family welfare, including lack of employment, lack of human resources, and minimal level of education and capital, and the development of technology that replaces human labor.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the Portrait of Kampung Rama Agung in North Bengkulu Regency which is a culture-based tourism village and contains the customary values of the local community and has a very strong tourist attraction through the diversity of traditional cultural heritage that is still maintained and maintained by the local community. The method used in this research is a literature study with a qualitative approach conducted by in-depth observation and interviews related to Rama Agung Village as a Culture-Based Tourism Village in North Bengkulu Regency. Thus, this research can describe and explain the portrait of Kampung Rama Agung as a Culture-Based Tourism Village in North Bengkulu Regency and explain the role of the local community, customary institutions, and the government in maintaining and developing Kampung Rama as a Cultural Tourism that further strengthens the social, economic, and cultural identity of the local community.
