Abstract

This study aims to determine the attitudes and behavior of environmental care students of SMA Negeri 1 Pangale before and after participating in environemntal training. The type of research is descriptive quantitative and using the experimental approach. The research population was students of SMAN 1 Pangale, Central Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi, with a total of 357 students. The research sample was taken using probability random sampling technique so that a total sample of 54 students was obtained which was divided into three levels, namely class X, class XI and class XII and 18 respondents could be selected for each level. The data analysis used is descriptive statistics and inferential statistics using paired sample t-test. The results showed that the environmental attitudes and behavior of students increased significantly before and after training based on descriptive analysis. The result also supported by the statistical analysis. Furthermore, the training on environmental care affects the attitudes and behavior of environmental care students at SMA Negeri 1 Pangale.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan lingkungan, komitmen lingkungan, dan locus of control petani sawit di Kabupaten Mamuju Tengah, sebelum dan sesudah eksperimen serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh eksperimen terhadap peningkatan Pengetahuan Lingkungan, Komitmen Lingkungan dan Locus of control petani sawit di Kabupaten Mamuju Tengah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah 125 Kepala Rumah Tangga petani sawit di Desa Tobadak 1, Kecamatan Tobadak, Kabupaten Mamuju Tengah Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 25 kepala keluarga dengan penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif kuantitatif dan statistik dinferensial menggunakan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Gambaran pengetahuan lingkungan, komitmen lingkungan dan locus of control petani sawit di Desa Tobadak I sebelum diberi eksperimen berada pada kategori rendah sedangkan sesudah diberi eksperimen pengetahuan lingkungan berada pada kategori sedang, komitmen lingkungan dan locus of control berada pada kategori tinggi. Serta perlakuan eksperimen telah memberikan pengaruh terhadap meningkatnya pengetahuan lingkungan, komitmen lingkungan dan locus of control pada petani sawit di Desa Tobadak I.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of the school climate that supports school members' environmental knowledge and attitudes. This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Wajo, involving the principal and teachers as informants. Data was collected through interviews and observations to find aspects of managing the school environment. These aspects include school conditions, classrooms, canteens, toilets, and waste management. The study results in show that managing the school climate that supports knowledge of the environmental attitudes of school members is supported by development policies to create school conditions. This policy is carried out by developing student participation in maintaining the school environment. Furthermore, maintenance of clean classroom facilities, free of waste, comfortable and neatly arranged, is achieved by the knowledge and attitude of school members. The school principal also implements regulations for providing school canteen facilities that provide healthy food. The most critical school facility is the toilet which is always clean and comfortable. As well as waste management with the application of 3R, namely Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
