Abstract

The existence of Citizenship Education in the face of the development of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era is very much in line with the current digital era, namely digital citizenship based on 21st-century skills which all lead to strengthening Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in the actions and behavior of students. The purpose of this research is to provide an overview and describe the learning model of citizenship education in the digital era and to foster a skill-based understanding of student learning literacy in the 21st century. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach and data collection techniques using literature studies. The implication of this research is to form and have an impact on changing the competency demands of students in the 4.0 era that must be owned by the output and process of learning education, especially Citizenship Education.

Abstract

Partai politik mempunyai kewajiban yuridis dan moral untuk melaksanakan pendidikan politik khususnya memberdayakan kader perempuan di tengah minimnya partisipasi politik perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penentuan informan penelitian melalui teknik non probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengujian keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kendala-kendala pendidikan politik kader perempuan, yakni (1) kendala internal, yang berasal dalam diri kader perempuan; (2) kendala eksternal, stereotip dalam konstruksi sosial budaya masyarakat; (3) keseriusan partai dalam memberdayakan kader perempuan; (4) kelemahan regulasi peraturan perundang-undangan. Partai politik melakukan beberapa upaya untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut melalui pendekatan personal, menggagas konsep tanpa mahar politik; membentuk regulasi internal partai politik yang akomodatif terhadap kebutuhan perempuan.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Political parties have moral as well as juridical obligation to conduct political education especially for women cadres in the low level of political participation among women. It was a qualitative research with descriptive method of explanation. The informant involved was selected with non-probability sampling, purposive sampling. The results reveal the obstacles faced by women cadres are (1) internal obstacles, coming from the cadres themselves; (2) external obstacles, coming from stereotype upholding by among cultural and society members; (3) the seriousness of political party to empower their own women cadres; (4) the weakness of the law concerning this issue. To overcome the problems, political parties is doing effort such as personal approach, politic without political "˜bride price' (mahar politik), issuing internal regulation accommodative to the needs of women.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of the Wordwall-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and traditional lecture-based learning in enhancing students' critical thinking skills. Proficiency in critical thinking is crucial for effectively analyzing issues and proposing viable solutions. The PBL approach is particularly suited to developing students' critical thinking abilities by stimulating their cognitive skills and fostering consistent critical thinking practices. The research employed a quantitative methodology within a quasi-experimental framework, utilizing a non-equivalent control group design with 35 students in both the experimental and control groups. Data collection involved tests and observations, and analysis included descriptive analysis and prerequisite tests for normality and homogeneity. The statistical analysis used a paired sample t-test. Findings revealed significant differences between the experimental and control groups, with the experimental group showing higher average n-gain values (0.57 vs. 0.07) and percentages (56.85% vs. 6.70%), indicating greater effectiveness in improving critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Corruption remains a persistent problem undermining Indonesia’s development at both local and national levels. Addressing this issue requires a holistic strategy, one of which involves integrating values of integrity and anti-corruption into educational practices. Value-Based Education offers an effective preventive approach by providing students with a moral foundation through the internalization of ethical values within contextual and interactive learning experiences. This article employs a literature review method, identifying and analyzing previous research related to integrity, anti-corruption, and value-based education models. The findings highlight nine essential integrity and anti-corruption values: (1) honesty, (2) responsibility, (3) discipline, (4) independence, (5) hard work, (6) simplicity, (7) courage, (8) care, and (9) justice. These values are crucial in guiding students to consistently uphold ethical principles in their daily lives, fostering a culture of integrity and contributing to the creation of a corruption-free society. However, this study is limited by its conceptual nature, as it relies solely on literature review without empirical validation in educational settings. Future research is recommended to conduct experimental or classroom-based studies to assess the practical effectiveness of value-based education models in promoting anti-corruption behavior among students across different educational levels.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya pemahaman mendalam mengenai pelestarian adat Ngarot sebagai bagian dari identitas modal sosial di kalangan pemuda-pemudi serta urgensinya dalam pembangunan masyarakat desa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi adat Ngarot dalam menumbuhkan modal sosial pada masyarakat desa Lelea, kecamatan Lelea, kabupaten Indramayu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) adat Ngarot memiliki peran penting dalam menumbuhkan modal sosial masyarakat desa; (2) nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam Adat Ngarot seperti kebersamaan, gotong royong, persatuan, dan saling menghargai dapat diimplementasikan sebagai modal sosial; (3) hambatan yang dihadapi, seperti keterbatasan penggunaan bahasa sunda Lelea dan pengaturan lalu lintas saat prosesi adat, tidak bersifat signifikan. Kesimpulannya, adat Ngarot merupakan bentuk implementasi modal sosial yang dijalankan oleh pemuda-pemudi sebagai partisipasi dalam pembangunan masyarakat Desa Lelea, memiliki nilai-nilai kerjasama, gotong royong, silahturahmi, dan persatuan.

Abstract

Background: The background of this research is based on the rapid development of digital technology, which has transformed the ways students interact, access information, learn, and engage in civic life. Conversely, the role of students as active and reflective digital citizens has not been extensively explored in academic literature.Aims: This research aims to analyze the digital competencies of higher education students in Indonesia, with a focus on how their digital skills support their roles as digital citizens, both in academic contexts and in digital civic participation.Methods: The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey conducted with 145 students from various study programs. The survey instrument measures several dimensions of digital competency, including information literacy, digital research, communication, and engagement on platforms.Results: The results indicate that 85% of students demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the use of information and communication technology (ICT) for academic purposes. However, participation in digital civic activities remains low, with competency levels ranging only from 46.8% to 52.8%. The majority of students exhibit a utilitarian orientation, showing high levels of usage for entertainment and learning (74.8%) but demonstrating moderate competencies in information literacy (74.6%), digital research (67.2%), and digital communication (61.7%).Conclusion: These findings suggest a need for enhanced digital civic education that not only focuses on technical aspects but also aims to develop ethical, creative, and participatory capacities among students as responsible digital citizens.

Abstract

Civic Education has a strategic role in shaping the democratic character of students. This research aims to analyze the factual conditions of PKn lectures at Ahmad Dahlan University and measure the level of democratic character of students. The research method used is a mixed method by combining a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires, interviews and observations of students. The results showed that the Civic Education Lecture at Ahmad Dahlan University played a significant role in shaping the democratic character of students, although there were aspects that needed improvement, such as the involvement of expert sources. The democratic character of students is also high, but active participation needs to be increased. This research highlights the importance of developing more interactive learning methods, such as problem-based projects and debate simulations, as well as collaboration with practitioners to enrich students' insight into democracy
