Abstract

This study aims to analyze and develop the Value Clarification Technique of Law (VCTL) learning model to strengthen high school students’ understanding of digital rights and responsibilities in Padang City. While students have the freedom to access internet technology, they are also expected to use it responsibly and respect the rights of others in digital spaces. The development of the VCTL model was motivated by the growing concern over students’ unwise behavior in using the internet, highlighting the need for an educational approach that fosters ethical awareness and value-based decision-making. This research adopts a Research and Development (RD) methodology using the ADDIE model, which includes the phases of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The final product is a model book designed to assist teachers in implementing the VCTL approach in high school classrooms. The findings indicate that the VCTL model effectively enhances students’ digital responsibility by engaging them in structured value clarification processes anchored in legal and ethical considerations. The model encourages students to critically choose, clarify, and act upon values related to digital citizenship.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the digital rights and responsibilities of students in Padang City in their use of internet technology. The rapid development of technology requires students to be not only active users, but also to understand the ethical norms, rights, and responsibilities inherent in online activities. On one hand, students have the freedom to access internet technology, but on the other, they are required to be responsible and respect the rights of others. This study is a qualitative descriptive research. The authors proposed 24 statements indicating students' digital rights and responsibilities. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, which were then interpreted. The results found that students understood their digital rights and responsibilities and maintained their own and others' digital privacy well. However, their academic ethics tended to be low, as students considered actions like copying material and downloading videos to be a normal practice. In terms of reporting digital rights theft and harassment, the students' awareness was quite good, but they did not know the proper procedures. Therefore, socialization is needed for relevant institutions, such as the Padang City Education Office, school supervisors, and teachers, regarding the digital rights and responsibilities of high school students in using internet technology wisely.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami kontribusi P3BC dalam pelestarian batik, strategi yang dijalankan, serta pentingnya edukasi masyarakat dan regulasi pemerintah dalam menjaga nilai kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus untuk mengungkap kekhasan dan karakteristik unik kasus pelestarian batik Mega Mendung di Desa Trusmi, Kabupaten Cirebon. Subjek penelitian meliputi pemerintah daerah, pengurus P3BC, perajin, pelaku usaha batik, dan masyarakat lokal, dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, serta instrumen tambahan seperti kuesioner dan catatan lapangan. Data dianalisis dengan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Validitas data diperkuat dengan triangulasi teknik dan sumber, member check, audit trail, dan peer debriefing. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pelestarian batik Mega Mendung sebagai warisan budaya khas Cirebon merupakan proses yang kompleks dan berlapis, melibatkan unsur edukasi, sosial, ekonomi, dan teknologi. P3BC berperan sebagai penggerak komunitas dalam mengedukasi generasi muda, memberdayakan pengrajin lokal, serta menjalin kerja sama strategis dengan instansi pemerintah dan sektor pariwisata. Dengan demikian, tantangan serius masih dihadapi, seperti menurunnya minat generasi muda, maraknya batik printing, reduksi nilai filosofis, serta keterbatasan akses terhadap teknologi dan pasar. Oleh karena itu, pelestarian batik Mega Mendung membutuhkan sinergi antaraktor, integrasi nilai budaya ke dalam pendidikan, serta adaptasi terhadap era digital agar tetap relevan dan bermakna lintas generasi.

Abstract

Traffic violations and accidents still frequently occur in Bandung City, especially in the Sukasari Police area. The purpose of this study is to 1) determine the role of traffic police in minimizing deviant traffic violation behavior in the Sukasari Police area of ​​Bandung City, 2) determine the obstacles faced by the traffic police unit in handling the high level of traffic violations in the Sukasari Police area of ​​Bandung City, 3) determine the efforts made to overcome the obstacles faced by the traffic police unit in handling the high level of traffic violations in the Sukasari Police area of ​​Bandung City. The research method used is descriptive and literature review. The police have taken pre-emptive (deterrence), preventive (prevention) and repressive (action) actions. Although there are several obstacles in its implementation, this is still able to reduce traffic accidents in Bandung City, especially in the Sukasari Police area.

Abstract

Character education is a fundamental aspect of developing students' personalities and social behavior. This study aims to analyze the role of character education in shaping students' social behavior at SMKS Al-Muawwanah Tasikmalaya. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that character education at the school is implemented through the integration of character values into classroom learning, social and religious activities, and teacher role modeling. This implementation has positively impacted students' discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and empathy. However, several challenges persist, including limited instructional time, weak evaluation systems, and unsupportive external environments. The study concludes that character education plays a significant role in shaping students' social behavior, although its effectiveness depends on consistent implementation and collaboration among schools, families, and communities. The study recommends strengthening character education strategies systematically and developing a more comprehensive evaluation model.
