Abstract

Kokedama adalah teknik menanam dengan media tanam lumut. Cara ini merupakan seni tradisional asal Negeri Matahari Terbit, Jepang. Kokedama biasa disebut juga dengan bola lumut Jepang. Tanah yang ditanami benih lumut lalu dibentuk bulat. Jika kebanyakan dari kita menggunakan pot sebagai media tanam, maka kokedama adalah seni menanam tanpa pot. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk memaparkan teknik kokedama sebagai salah satu alternatif budidaya tanaman. Kegiatan pendampingan ini dilakukan di desa Bayan Krajan RW XV, Kadipiro, Banjarsari, Surakarta. Kegiatan dengan melibatkan ibu-ibu PKK dalam pelatihan penanaman sebagai bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Hasil dari pendampingan ini adalah kokedama dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif budidaya tanaman yang cocok diterapkan untuk membuat vegetasi rumah meskipun dengan lahan yang terbatas.Masyarakat khususnya Ibu-ibu PKK Kota Surakarta tepatnya di RW XV dalam pembuatan kokedama melalui kegiatan “Pelatihan Praktek Pembuatan Kokedama” yang bertempat di halaman rumah salah satu warga RW XV Kota Surakarta.

Abstract

First objective of this study is to identify the influence of the fluctuations in the entire United States stock index on the Indonesian Composite stock Index. The results of thisstudy be used to predict Indonesian Composite indexes in a certain period of timebase of USA indexes fluctuation. The second objective is to find out whether there was a significant difference between the influence of the United States stock indexes on the Indonesian composite index. We used time series secondary data of daily stock price index over in five years (January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2017). The sample selection method used non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. We used robust simple regressionto achieve the first goal is, while the second goal used the linear combination. The results analysis showed that all of types of United States stock indices are partially significant and positive to Indonesian Composite index fluctuations (P-Value <0.05). Several types of USA stock indices have a significantly different coefficient in influencing Indonesia's Composite index between the Dow Jones Composite and the NYSE Composite and Dow Jones Composite with OTCM ADR (P-Value <0.05). Thus, the results of this study provide advice to investors, especially the Swinger and Scalper types, that considering the fluctuations in the USA index as a stock investment decision in Indonesia, it does not only consider one type of index, which is currently the headline of the stock index in the USA for example (Dowjones 30). However, consider other indices both composite and specific composite.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of Quizizz-based gamified instruction and students’ learning motivation in improving reading literacy among fifth-grade elementary students. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the research involved 46 students divided into an experimental group using Quizizz and a control group taught conventionally. Reading literacy tests were administered before and after the intervention, and motivation data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring interest, attention, persistence, and participation. The findings reveal significant improvement in both groups, as indicated by paired sample t-test results. The experimental group achieved higher posttest performance, marked by an increase in minimum achievement and a higher maximum score, suggesting stronger overall learning consistency. Although the control group showed a higher numerical gain due to the ceiling effect, the independent sample t-test demonstrated a significant difference between the two groups, confirming the substantial influence of Quizizz on learning quality. High motivation scores, especially in interest and attention, further support the role of gamified learning in enhancing students’ affective engagement. The study concludes that Quizizz and learning motivation simultaneously contribute to improved reading literacy. The results emphasize the relevance of gamification as a strategic pedagogical tool for literacy instruction in the digital era.
