Abstract

In helping to develop technology in the field of education as well as bringing about a major change in competitiveness between individuals and groups, to be able to do so requires sufficient information and data to be analyzed further. In this case STT Wastukancana Purwakarta is under the auspices of Bunga Bangsa Foundation, seeing that STT Wastukancana Purwakarta students have several obstacles in their final project, one of which is difficult in determining the topic of the thesis title to be made so that sometimes the topic of the thesis title taken is not in accordance with their abilities each student. This problem can be overcome by applying the clustering method. The analytical method used is Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD). The method of grouping students uses the clustering method and the K-Means algorithm as a clustering calculation where the Clustering aims to divide students into clusters based on grades obtained from semester 1 to 7, so as to produce student recommendations in taking thesis topics. The tool used to implement the algorithm is Rapidminer. The results of this study are grouping students according to their expertise, which is obtained based on the cluster that has the highest score and is dominated by the most subjects according to the subjects that have been grouped by each expertise. So, the results of this cluster are used as a reference for students to take the thesis title topic.

Abstract

One point to be assessed in the accreditation process in an institution is the length of the student's study period. The Informatics department in XYZ college has been accredited by the national accreditation bureau for higher education (BAN-PT), but the accreditation has the potential to be improved. One thing that affects the accreditation value is many students did not graduate on time. Therefore, the current study used available student data, both academic and non-academic, using data mining. Two model classifications were used, i.e. Logistic Model Tree (LMT) and Decision Tree J48. The study was aimed to compare LMT and Decision Tree J48 algorithm in predicting the length of student’s study and to find out the influence factors. The data were Informatics Engineering students who have graduated in February 2018 to February 2019 (135 records). Results showed that the LMT algorithm produced an accuracy rate of 71% better than Decision Tree J48 (62.8% accuracy) in predicting the length of the student’s study. The factors influencing the length of study of students are temporary grade point average (GPA) of the first semester, temporary GPA of the second semester, organizational status, and employment status.

Abstract

Sekolah Alam Purwakarta (SAP) is a school that integrates the pillars of faith, knowledge, leadership, and entrepreneurship. In the teaching and learning process, SAP not only emphasizes the achievement of academic goals but also on the development of life skills. In addition, SAP uses a national curriculum which is developed so that the universe and local potentials become learning resources, learning media, and classrooms. During the Covid-19 pandemic, almost all pre-school level student learning was carried out at home with guidance in the form of assignments prepared by the facilitator. Each task given aims to develop students' cognitive, motoric, or affective. In order to achieve this goal, each given task needs to be accompanied by a good explanation. This explanation can be presented using video. In addition, every task that has been done must be submitted by the parents to the facilitator as a daily assessment. To get good documentation, parents can use photos or videos as a medium. Based on this explanation, a video editing training needs to be carried out to maximize the teaching and learning process. This activity is carried out by providing online training to facilitators and parents of pre-school level students at SAP. This training was held for 120 minutes and was attended by 8 facilitators and 20 parents of students. With the implementation of this training, facilitators and parents of students have the ability to edit video so that they can maximize pre-school level student learning at SAP

In this company there are contract employees and permanent employees, contract employees are employees or workers whose working period is limited by a certain time according to the agreement within the company. While permanent employees are workers whose working period is approximately until they receive certain benefits according to the work agreement. This research was conducted to assist companies in decision support using the Topsis method in determining the appointment of contract employees to permanent employees based on predetermined criteria, namely Knowledge and Skills at work, Quantity and Quality of Work, Job Responsibilities, Initiatives in Work, and Compliance. on rules or discipline. The results of this study indicate that the determination of the ranking of prospective permanent employees can be obtained from the calculation results of the TOPSIS method, where the results of prospective employees are based on predetermined administrative criteria. Prospective permanent employees who have the highest rank have the right to be selected first. The accuracy of the implementation of the TOPSIS method on the system plays a major role in the effectiveness and efficiency of the company's services to consumers compared to before the system was implemented. With the implementation of this DSS system, it can help companies to make it easier to make decisions to survey prospective permanent employees and optimize employee performance.

Abstract

Anyelir Cake And Bakery is the largest cake shop in Purwakarta which is engaged in the production of various kinds of cakes. In the process of distributing products from the central store to branch stores, they still use WhatsApp to place orders. This causes frequent discrepancies in the number of products requested and the number of products received due to an error in reading the message. In this study, a mobile-based application will be built that is able to manage order data more accurately. The development of this application uses the User Centered Design (UCD). This is a design method that focuses on user needs so that the final result of this application does not need to change user behavior when using the application. The UCD method consists of four stages, namely plan the human centered design, specify user and organizational requirements, product design solutions, and evaluate design against user requirements. In the development process, application testing was carried out to get feedback from users with good scores, namely an average of 4 (agree) and 5 (strongly agree). This shows that the application is in accordance with the needs of the user.

Abstract

After Indonesia was awarded as a country with extraordinary natural charm, many foreign tourists came to Indonesia. According to the records of the Central Bureau of Statistics for 2020, approximately 5.47 million foreign tourists entered Indonesia. With the large number of foreign tourist visits, the need for tourist attractions is increasing, but finding information is now not difficult. One source of information for finding reviews of tourist attractions is TripAdvisor. On this website, there is a lot of information or reviews about various tourist attractions. However, the number of reviews makes tourists confused about identifying the quality of tourist attractions to be visited, so sentiment analysis needs to be done. Sentiment analysis itself is a technique to extract, identify, and understand sentiments or opinions contained in a text. In this research, two classification methods will be used in sentiment analysis techniques, namely K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN) and Support Vector Machine (SVM). Besides that, the object of this research will be to focus on the most popular tourist attractions in Indonesia according to Trip Advisor, namely Waterbom Bali, Mandala Suci Wenara Wana, Teras Sawah Tegalalang, Pura Tanah Lot, and Pura Luhur Uluwatu. The purpose of the research is to find out the results of accurate sentiment analysis for the five tourist attractions and compare the two algorithms used. and after testing, it was found that the Support Vector Machine algorithm is superior to the K-Nearest Neighbors algorithm.

Abstract

In Industry 4.0, a lot of data has been digitized and is no longer stored manually. In helping to record all the projects that were worked on initially stored in outstanding Project Management applications such as Trello. However, the Trello application has limitations and compatibility with business processes, including employees not writing down projects that have been done because they are not in accordance with procedures, causing many projects to go unrecorded. So because of these limitations a Project Management Information System (PMIS) website is needed which makes it easy to record all projects so that there is no more unrecorded data. Furthermore, there are problems in conducting an analysis that can make it easier for users and how to design a User Interface and User Experience on the PMIS website using the User Centered Design (UCD) method, which in the manufacturing process will continue to make changes according to needs. The results of the User Interface design that has been made will be tested for User Experience using the Single Ease Questionnaire (SEQ) method as a measure of the success of the User Interface that has been made. Based on the results of the User Experience test using the Single Ease Questionnaire method for 5 respondents, an average value of 6.3 was obtained, which means that it can be concluded that the User Interface that has been created has a level of convenience that is in accordance with the User Experience.
