Abstract

The violence in the family is frequently difficult to detect, and the public paradigm continues to assume that something happens in the family is private. The presence of Laws number 23 of 2004 on the elimination of domestic violence is expected to protect state citizens from unsettling senses and forms of violence, but the number of incidents of domestic violence in everyday life instantly increases. As the Writer will examine the function of Laws number 23 of 2004 prohibiting domestic violence in providing protections for state citizens, particularly those who are victims of domestic abuse. By focusing on the following questions: Is it sufficient to safeguard state citizens who are victims of domestic violence? and What should be done to reduce the number of domestic violence cases in Indonesia? The conclusion drawn by the author is that Laws number 23 of 2004 prohibiting domestic violence have been sufficient to protect victims and offer an elementary level of protection to law enforcement. However, its implementation must be coherent and systematic, not only with the country according to its instruments of power, but also with the population that supports the eradication of domestic violence.

Abstract

This study investigates the English learning strategies employed by athlete students at a senior high school in Kalasan, Yogyakarta, aiming to pinpoint the most effective approaches aligned with their learning preferences. Utilizing a quantitative research design, data were gathered through the Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) from 26 athlete students actively involved in diverse sports. The results indicate that cognitive strategies, employed by 76% of participants, emerged as the most prevalent, underscoring the students’ inclination toward practical, problem-solving activities. Social strategies, with a 73% usage rate, emphasized the value of collaboration, while affective strategies, at 63%, addressed emotional factors such as motivation and anxiety management. In contrast, compensatory (61%), metacognitive (61%), and memory (59%) strategies showed moderate to lower adoption, suggesting opportunities for further development. The findings highlight cognitive, social, and affective strategies as particularly effective for athlete students, offering practical guidance for educators to adapt teaching methods that balance the competing demands of academic achievement and athletic commitments.

Abstract

Abstract

Early childhood education is a very important initial stage in building a child's potential and character as a whole. At this age, intelligence development becomes the main factor that influences their success in the learning process and social interactions later in life. Therefore, understanding the factors that influence the intelligence of early childhood is very important so that the learning process can run optimally and in accordance with their development. This research aims to identify factors that influence the intelligence of early childhood at Elementary School (SD) 066 Soposorik Panyabungan Utara. The methodology used is a qualitative approach using observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies of students, teachers and parents. The research results show that family environmental factors, the role of teachers, and access to learning facilities contribute significantly to the development of children's intelligence. These findings emphasize the importance of collaboration between families and schools in supporting the optimization of early childhood intelligence potential.  Key words: intelligence, early childhood, environment.

Abstract

Sentiment analysis plays a crucial role in understanding customer perspectives, especially within Indonesian e-commerce platforms. Despite the success of deep learning in high-resource languages, its application to Indonesian sentiment data remains underexplored. Previous studies using models like BERT-CNN or fine-tuned IndoBERT achieved modest results, highlighting the need for more effective architectures for Indonesian language. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) models in classifying buyers’ sentiment from Indonesian product reviews on the PREDECT-ID dataset comprising 5,400 annotated product reviews. Standard NLP preprocessing techniques—including text normalization, tokenization, stopword removal, and stemming—were applied. Both models were trained using Adam and Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD) optimizers, and their performance was evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The GRU model trained with SGD achieved the highest performance, with an accuracy of 94.07%, precision of 93.84%, recall of 94.53%, and F1-score of 94.18%. Notably, the BiLSTM model combined with SGD resulted in competitive results, achieving 93.61% accuracy and 93.84% F1-score. The results confirm that GRU with SGD optimizer, are highly effective for sentiment classification in Indonesian language datasets. By leveraging deep sequential modeling for a low-resource language, this study contributes to the advancement of scalable sentiment analysis systems in underrepresented linguistic domains. The results contribute to the advancement of NLP systems for Indonesian by providing a benchmark for the future development of sentiment analysis tools in low-resource languages.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the application of civic education in improving students' learning motivation on the material of Unity in Diversity in Elementary School. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Qualitative research methods are used to deeply examine the research object without trying to manipulate the research, but rather studying a phenomenon. The results of the research on fifth grade students show that there are still some students who are less motivated in learning civic education, especially in the material of Unity in Diversity, because they have difficulty understanding the teacher's explanation. Learning about Unity in Diversity is expected to create an attitude of mutual respect among students so that they can apply it in daily life and increase student motivation through the use of more active and enthusiastic learning media. Teachers also face difficulties due to the lack of creative and innovative learning media, where they only rely on material from textbooks, making it difficult for students to understand Unity in Diversity in daily life.
