Abstract

This research is based on the researcher’s interest in concepts mastery and problem solving skills of students. Application of problem based learning into learning is an appropriate way to improve students' concepts mastery and problem solving skills. Research purposes is to study the teachers' perceptions of the effect of problem based learning models on concepts mastery and problem solving skills. This research used method quantitative descriptive research and used survey for research design. High grade teachers in elementary schools in North Sumedang District became the research population. questionnaire is the instrument. The research discovered that the PBL learning model had a positive influence on concepts mastery and problem solving skills of students with a strong position. The implication of the research is that when teachers wanted to improve concepts mastery and problem solving skills of students they could applied the PBL model as a strategy.

Abstract

With a problem-solving model, students will gradually grow to be complete, Students will gradually grow to be complete, meaning that student changes do not only occur in cognition but also emotions and mental movements with an internal understanding of the problems at hand. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation, improvement, and response of students regarding the use of animated videos in elementary school students' learning. . The research was using qualitative descriptive with a homeroom teacher and 4th-grade students that using instruments in the form of documentation, tests, and interviews. There are found several obstacles in the implementation of online learning such as smartphones, quotas, and internet networks. The results from this research, that the use of animated video with the learning model of problem-solving was implemented properly. There was an increased inability in the learning process, students actively asked questions and were able to conclude the material presented. In addition, the students' responses were very good, as seen from their enthusiasm and enthusiasm to ask questions without fear of being wrong and embarrassed. Here it appears that there is a change in a very good direction.

Abstract

Mathematics is a science that applies continuously and universally. Because mathematics is obtained based on reasoning. The mathematical concept that is learned through reasoning  is  very  helpful  for  humans  in  matters  of  daily  life.  The  scope  of  the mathematical material taught in elementary school is geometry, one of which is many facets. To master material as much as it is regular and irregular, it requires the ability of mathematical  understanding  to  master  it.  Determining  a  lot  correctly  needs  to  be believed, because there are some students who are not confident in the results that have been calculated. One of the efforts to improve students' mathematical understanding and self-efficacy is to use the CTL (Contextual Teaching Learning) approach. This study used a group control pretest-posttest group design, with a fourth grade sample at SDN 3Arjawinangun Cirebon. This study aims to determine the effect of the CTL approach to comprehension  and  self-efficacy,  knowing  the  effect  of  conventional  approaches  to comprehension and self-efficacy and knowing the correlation between comprehension and self-efficacy. The results of this study are posttest scores on the ability of understanding and self-efficacy in the experimental class and the control experienced an increase from the results of the value of the pretest of comprehension and self-efficacy. In addition there is an increase in N-Gain on the results of the pretest and posttest results. But there is no correlation  between  the  ability  of  mathematical  understanding  and  self-efficacy.  The conclusions obtained from this study are 1) there is a positive effect of the CTL approach on the ability of mathematical understanding and self-efficacy, 2) there is a positive effect of conventional approaches on mathematical understanding and self-efficacy abilities, 3) there is a correlation between mathematical and self-understanding abilities efficacy.

Abstract

Parental attention is very important, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. So the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of parental attention during the Covid-19 pandemic on student learning outcomes in mathematics. This research is a quantitative research using survey method. The data collection technique used a parental attention questionnaire and documentation of the value of math report cards. Data analysis used linear regression analysis with one predictor. The results showed the average value of parental attention was 82.04 and for the percentage of 46.08% parents always guide their children in learning, 43.04% parents always motivate their children to learn, and 58.23% parents always provide learning facilities. As for the results of learning mathematics the average value is 82.40. Hypothesis testing shows that there is a significant effect between parental attention during the Covid-19 pandemic on mathematics learning outcomes. The contribution given by parents' attention to students' mathematics learning outcomes is 20.6%, the rest is due to the influence of other variables.

Abstract

This research was conducted as a way to help overcome problems regarding students' difficulties in understanding the material and how to express good gratitude and requests for help related to speaking skills in grade I at SDN Sindang I. The instruments used are in the form of interview guidelines and validation sheets. Initial data collection techniques using interviews. Methods used research and development methods(Design and Development)using qualitative approaches. The results showed that validation of audio visual-based media development by material experts in round I by 74% and round II by 88%. While the results of validation by media design experts and users (teachers) are carried out one round and obtained a rating of 88% from media design experts and 91.58% from users (teachers). This shows that audio visual-based media belongs to a very valid category and can be used without revision based on conversion of validity assessment criteria.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 menjadikan proses pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring untuk menjaga kesehatan dan keselamatan semua orang. Pembelajaran memanfaatkan teknologi digital dengan memperhatikan proses belajar yang menyenangkan bagi siswa. Maka pendidik harus memerhatikan media dan model pembelajaran yang mendukung dan mudah digunakan oleh siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada materi gaya gesek  menggunakan Zoom Meeting, untuk mengetahui berpikir kreatif dan penguasaan konsep siswa setelah pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada materi gaya gesek menggunakan Zoom Meeting. Manfaat dari penelitian ini dapat bertambahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif.  Partisipan dalam  penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SDN Pasarean yang berjumlah 16 orang dengan jumlah laki-laki sebanyak 7 orang dan perempuan 9 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis proyek menggunakan Zoom Meeting dapat memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan penguasaan konsep.

Abstract

This research was based on the idea that the ability of mathematical representation and student learning independence was something that could be developed through good learning. One of the learning that was suitable to improve the ability of mathematical representation and student learning independence by using strategy of REACT. This research was a quasi-experimental research using  non equivalent control group design. The sample in this research were grade VB as experiment class and grade VA as control class. The instruments in this research include the test result of learning ability of mathematical representation, the scale of learning independence attitude, observation guidelines, student journal and field notes. The results of result with significance level = 0.05 (5%) showed that strategy of REACT can improve the ability of mathematical representation and student learning independenc. Strategy of REACT is also better than conventiona learning approach in improving mathematical representation and learning independence.

Abstract

Indonesia is currently facing the Covid-19 pandemic. Learning activities are currently carried out online to avoid the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. However, the demands of the curriculum must be achieved, one of which is the ability to think critically. This study was conducted to determine the analysis of online learning on students' critical thinking skills in mathematics in elementary school. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. Through the analysis of interview instruments, tests, and observations with the subject of class V students at SDN Cisoga 1, totaling 29 students. The research data shows that (28%) students are in very good category, and (45%) students in the very poor category. This shows that almost half of the fifth grade students at SDN Cisoga 1 have very poor critical thinking skills. Therefore, the implementation of online learning activities in elementary schools needs to be improved for the better.

Abstract

The ability of science literacy is essential for every student to have, and is better applied since elementary school. Through learning using the Learning Cycle 7E model is a great way to improve science literacy skills, because in teacher learning activities facilitates students to find concepts independently. The purpose of this research is to identify differences in the influence of the model's Learning Cycle 7E and conventional to the ability of students ' science literacy in water-cycle materials. This research method is quasi experimental with the design of Nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research was all elementary school students in Arcamanik sub-district with research samples of SDN 141 Lokajaya V-B class as experimental class and V-A class as the control class. The instruments used in the research are science literacy skills tests, teacher performance observation sheets and student activities, polls, and interviews. As for the conclusion derived from this study, there is a significant difference in the skills of science literacy of students between learning using Learning Cycle 7E models and conventional learning.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep dan self-efficacy siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan desain pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 26 siswa kelas V SD Negeri I Kapetakan. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes, angket, dan wawancara. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini: 1) Kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 46%. Siswa yang berada pada kategori sedang ini, berada pada tahapan pemahaman instruksional; 2) Self-efficacy yang dimiliki siswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 54%. Artinya, siswa sudah cukup percaya diri dalam mengerjakan tugas dalam situasi apapun, namun masih mengalami beberapa kesulitan dalam situasi tertentu; 3) Pembelajaran berbasis whatsapp group memberikan kemudahan bagi siswa untuk memahami dan mengerjakan tugas yang diberikan oleh guru, sehingga sebagian besar siswa memberikan respon yang baik dan positif.
