Abstract

This study aims to develop a monopoly game learning media on the subject of Pendidikan Agama Islam – PAI (Islam Religion Education) in the topic about the Prophet’s da’wah in Madinah and to find out the response of students of class X MIPA 2 in SMA Negeri 12 Jakarta after using monopoly game learning media in the PAI class. The type of study is research and development (RD). The model used in developing this learning media is the Borg and Gall model. This instructional media product was tested to students of class X MIPA 2 in SMAN 12 Jakarta and got the average score on student test as a whole of 82% which means the product is categorised very good. The results of this study indicate that the learning media of monopoly game in PAI in subtopic of the Prophet’s da’wah in Madinah developed in class X MIPA 2 SMAN 12 is worthy of use. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran permainan monopoli pada mata pelajaran PAI dalam materi perjuangan dakwah Rasulullah saw di Madinah dan untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa kelas X MIPA 2 di SMA Negeri 12 Jakarta setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran permainan monopoli pada mata pelajaran PAI. Jenis penelitian ini adalah research and development (RD). Model yang digunakan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran ini adalah model Borg and Gall. Produk media pembelajaran ini diujicobakan kepada siswa kelas X MIPA 2 di SMAN 12 Jakarta dan mendapat rata-rata skor pada uji coba siswa secara keseluruhan sebesar 82% yang berarti produk dikategorikan sangat baik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran permainan monopoli pada mata pelajaran PAI dalam materi perjuangan dakwah Rasulullah saw di Madinah yang dikembangkan di kelas X MIPA 2 SMAN 12 Jakarta adalah layak digunakan.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe and analyze the learning model of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) and its supporting and inhibiting factors for deaf students in a public special school in Jakarta. This research uses a type of qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection procedures used are observation, interviews, and documentation. This study concluded that the learning model applied was the Problem-Based Learning Model and the Index Card Math Learning Model. These two learning models make students able to implement the meaning of learning, understand the meaning and content of Al-Qur’an readings, make students understand their obligations as a Muslim and be able to practice them in everyday life. The supporting factors are as follows: strategic school location, supporting facilities and infrastructure, enthusiasm for learning and parental support. While the inhibiting factors are: the lack of linguistic vocabulary, difficulty in communicating with deaf students, and an odd number of students.Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan dan menganalisis model pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) serta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya pada siswa tunarungu di sebuah SLB Negeri di Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Prosedur pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran yang diterapkan adalah Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dan Model Pembelajaran Index Card Math. Kedua model pembelajaran ini membuat peserta mampu mengimplementasi makna dari pembalajaran, memahami arti dan isi bacaan Al-Qur’an, membuat siswa paham kewajibannya sebagai seorang muslim serta dapat mengamalkannya pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Adapun faktor pendukung sebegai berikut: lokasi sekolah strategis, sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung, semangat belajar dan dukungan orang tua. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya, yaitu: minimnya kosakata kebahasaan, kesulitan berkomunikasi dengan siswa tunarungu, dan jumlah siswa yang ganjil.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how religion (Islam) is understood, confessed, and practiced in a way that it interacts positively with local cultures and the concept of nation as a uniting factor of the people in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative method by reviewing relevant literature, conducting observation, and interviews with informants in various higher education institutions on Java Island. Data were taken from Islamic Religious Education (IRE) or Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) course, interview with students and lecturers, as well as the course’s accompanying programs administered by public and private universities in Java. The results of the study show that Islamic religiosity and appreciation of local cultures within the frame of Indonesia as a nation can go hand in hand. This mindset is achieved through a religious education course and its extra or co-curricular programs at universities in Indonesia, which is in line with the agenda of building the nation through being religious and maintaining harmony in diverse Indonesian society.

Abstract

Ulama have a big role in the life of a plural society. In their efforts, achievements in education, politics, socio-economy, and others have been completed. These attainments were not separate from the role of ulama or kyai who wrote books or kitab to be used as teaching materials in Islamic boarding schools, pesantren, or religious assembly, teaching, in the community. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach and data were collected using documentation studies and interviews. This study was conducted in six pesantren in Bandung. There are 39 works of the pesantren ulama with various studies such as Islamic jurisprudence, Sufism, theology, Arabic grammar, hadith, Arabic morphology, astronomy, and Sufi path. The results are hoped to enrich the knowledge and literature about the various works of pesantren ulama in Bandung area from the 19th-20th century which have not been known by the public so far and to give characteristic that is specific to the knowledge in the pesantren. In addition, this article can be an entry point for other researchers to conduct a more in-depth study of the contents of the ulama's works.

Abstract

Facts show memorizing the Qur’an is difficult, especially considering contemporary man’s busyness. The memorizers of the Qur’an admit that they have difficulty finding time to repeat (murâja’ah) the memorizations they have consistently. This study tries to reveal the contribution of the T.E.S. method, a method of memorizing the Qur’an discovered by Ustadz Jemmi Gumilar ST., in improving the memorization of the Qur’an. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive method, this study shows that the T.E.S. method has positively contributed to improving the quality and quantity of memorization of the Qur’an of the tahfîzh participants. Many beneficiaries and recognition of the training participants for the effectiveness of the T.E.S. method prove this. Theoretically, the success of the T.E.S. method lies in time management and discipline or consistency in reading the Qur’an, memorizing, and repeating memorization.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the gender roles and relations in the Minangkabau society and how the situation is changing due to some interactions with other influential factors, mainly Islamic teaching and nation-state projection. This article argues that although the Minangkabau matriarchal traditions are influenced by particularly the two driving forces, there have been both continuity and change which prove that the gender roles and relations are a highly contested discourse. This study used library research, and mini- ethnographical approach which involved several field observations and interviews through casual conversation with Minangkabau people. The results show that gender and the conception of women and men are highly contested, especially in the region where more than one influences are competing. Although there is a number of powerful discourse disparities, especially the Islamist movement and the state, the creation and instillation of new definitions and identities of the Minangkabau is reworked within their ideologies of gender and rank, kinship and matriliny.

Abstract

This community service aims to develop teacher professionalism in online learning through assistance in preparing digital teaching materials. The methods used in the service activities are interactive lectures, discussions, practices, and assignments. The participants involved were 11 elementary school teachers. Community service activities are carried out through making guidelines, implementing assistance, monitoring, and assigning tasks. The service results show that the mentoring activities have succeeded in developing the abilities and professionalism of teachers in the use of technology in learning. Participants have compiled digital teaching materials independently and have implemented them for students in their online learning. Meanwhile, 81.82% of participants stated that service activities provided new insights, and 63.64% were satisfied with the activities carried out.Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan profesionalisme guru dalam pembelajaran daring melalui pendampingan penyusunan bahan ajar digital. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian berupa ceramah interaktif, diskusi, praktik, dan penugasan. Peserta yang terlibat adalah guru Sekolah Dasar sebanyak 11 orang. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan melalui tahapan proses pembuatan panduan, pelaksanaan pendampingan, pemantauan, dan pemberian tugas. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pendampingan berhasil mengembangkan kemampuan dan profesionalitas guru dalam penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Peserta telah dapat menyusun bahan ajar digital secara mandiri dan telah mengimplementasikannya kepada peserta didik dalam pembelajaran daringnya. Adapun sebesar 81,82% peserta menyatakan kegiatan pengabdian memberikan wawasan baru, dan 63,64% peserta merasa puas dengan kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan.

Abstract

The inspiration for this investigation comes from a new classroom management trend centred around providing students with assistance and guidance to encourage them to be disciplined, to learn, and to participate in class. Within this context, teachers serve as guides and facilitators rather than external controllers of the students' actions. This investigation aims to determine how empathetic communication helps foster more inclusive learning environments and how it influences student behaviour and academic achievement. As a new paradigm in classroom management, compassionate communication is the study's focus. Interviews, observations, and surveys were combined to conduct the study using a mixed-method approach. The Greater Jakarta region's public and private schools, ranging from elementary to vocational levels, provided data collected from 161 respondents and eight teachers. The study results emphasise that teachers who communicate with empathy make students feel more at ease, more willing to share their thoughts, and more inclined to participate actively in class. One of the practical implications is the necessity of teacher training programs that focus on the development of empathetic communication skills to improve classroom management.
