Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of feedback from local content-based practicum modules on students' science process skills. Research subjects for product trials developed in this study were students of class XI using a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 60 students. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental). The research instrument was a feedback rubric on applying a local content-based practicum module, observation sheets, and tests on the results of Science Process Skills (KPS). Data processing and analysis is carried out by comparing the initial and final science process skills scores by looking at the science process skills N-Gain score. Hypothesis testing uses the T-test to apply a local content-based practicum module on science process skills by analyzing the initial and final science process skills scores. The highest percentage result lies in the indicator of planning an experiment or investigation and using experimental tools and materials, namely 90%. There is a difference between a class that implements a local content-based practicum module and is given feedback with a class that uses a regular module for each class. The experimental class had an N-gain value of 0.75 or in the high category, while the control class had an N-gain value of 0.64 or in the moderate category. There are differences in students' Science Process Skills (KPS) using local content-based practicum modules with conventional practicum modules.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang Uji Toksisitas Fraksi Etanol Tanaman Obat Yang Digunakan Masyarakat dengan Menggunakan Metode Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat efek toksisitas terhadap larva Artemia dan mengetahui nilai LC50 yang terkandung dalam ekstrak etanol daun kedondong pagar terhadap Larva Udang (Artemia salina Leach). Metode yang digunakan Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT). Uji ini terdiri dari 3 perlakuan konsentrasi yaitu 1000 ppm, 100 ppm, 10 ppm beserta kontol negatif yang masing-masing dilakukan tiga kali pengulangan ( Triplo). Pada tiap konsentrasi menggunakan 15 ekor larva berumur 48 jam. Nilai LC50 didapatkan dari analisa probit. Nilai LC50 dari ekstrak etanol kedondong pagar 49,24 ppm. Dari nilai LC50 ekstrak etanol daun kedondong pagar dapat dilihat bahwa keduanya diklasifikasikan sebagai toksik sehingga berpotensi sebagai antikanker.

Abstract

STEM adalah singkatan dari Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Metode pembelajaran berbasis STEM merupakan suatu pengetahuan dan keterampilan secara bersamaan untuk menyelesaikan suatu kasus. Pembelajaran STEM dalam pendidikan bertujuan untuk menuntut siswa memiliki pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan untuk mengenali pertanyaan dan tantangan dalam kehidupan mereka, menjelaskan fenomena alam, merencanakan serta membuat simpulan berdasarkan bukti pada mata pelajaran STEM. Pendidikan STEM menawarkan kesempatan kepada guru untuk memperkenalkan siswa pada berbagai konsep untuk mengajarkan materi pengajaran. Salah satunya adalah pendekatan STEM, yang dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam ilmu alam (termasuk kimia). Dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan metode kuesioner dalam format tertulis dan digital dengan menggunakan Google Form. Selain kuesioner, penelitian ini memanfaatkan Teknik wawancara sebagai sarana untuk mengumpulkan informasi tentang pemahaman guru tentang STEM, kurikulum sekolah, dan ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana sekolah. Hasil keseluruhan yang diperoleh dari data faktor pendukung adalah 50%. Berdasarkan informasi kurikulum yang diberikan oleh para peneliti, 50% dicapai dalam bidang studi STEM. Dalam pendidikan STEM yang membentuk pembelajaran kimia, 13% kurikulumnya didedikasikan untuk pembelajaran STEM.

Abstract

Dalam dunia Pendidikan terdapat banyak sekali pendekatan-pendekatan yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dan keaktifan siswa. Salah satu pendekatan yang sering digunakan yaitu pendekatan STEM. STEM merupakan suatu pendekatan dengan mengembangkan 4 disiplin ilmu sekaligus yaitu, Sains (Science), Teknologi (Technology), Teknik (Engineering), dan Matematika (Matchematics). Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui penerapan STEM di berbagai negara, baik negara maju maupun negara berkembang seperti negara Indonesia, Singapura, Australia dan Amerika Serikat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber pustaka yang digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini adalah melalui jurnal internasional dan nasional yang diperoleh dari platform seperti Google Scholar, melalui tahapan pencarian literatur, seleksi studi dan penilaian kualitas. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan penerapan pendidikan STEM di negara Indonesia, Singapura, Australia dan Amerika Serikat mampu meningkatkan kualitas guru, siswa dan kualitas pendidikan di masing-masing negara tersebut.

Abstract

Global climate change and rapid population growth have created significant challenges to food security. To overcome these challenges, innovative technologies are needed that are capable of increasing agricultural yields in a sustainable manner. This research aims to explore the concept of Nanoagrotechnology as a smart technology that has the potential to increase agricultural productivity and efficiency while maintaining environmental sustainability. Nanoagrotechnology integrates nanotechnology applications in crop production and protection, such as the use of nano-fertilisers, nanopesticides, nanobiosensors, and nano-based technologies for remediation of contaminated soil. This research method uses a literature review approach by analysing various study results related to the application of nanotechnology in the agricultural sector. The results of the analysis show that nanotechnology is able to increase the efficiency of resource use, reduce negative environmental impacts, and produce crops with better quality and quantity. Nanoagrotechnology is thus a potential solution to the challenges of modern agriculture and contributes to global food security.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of project-based learning (PjBL) on enhancing students’ creative thinking abilities through a comprehensive meta-analytic study. Creative thinking is recognized as an integral part of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) required for success. Employing the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA), studies published between 2014 and 2024 were identified and synthesized from the Scopus database. Data analysis, conducted with R, assessed the impact of PjBL using effect size (ES) measurements. The findings demonstrate that PjBL significantly improves creative thinking skills compared to traditional teaching methods. Moderator analysis revealed that variables such as educational level, subject area, and learning model influence the outcomes, with the highest impact observed in high school and inquiry-driven subjects like physics. Variations of PjBL, including technology-enhanced models, such as Google Classroom-based approaches, further amplified its effectiveness, particularly in virtual learning environments. This study highlights PjBL’s adaptability and robust potential in fostering creativity and innovation across diverse educational contexts. The results provide practical implications for educators in designing tailored PjBL strategies to cultivate students’ creative thinking, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary approaches and technological integration in modern education.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to develop e-learning media based on Moodle for atomic structure material, as well as to determine the feasibility of the media and the teacher's response to it. With the ADDIE method derived from Dick and Carrey, this study is included in Research and Development (R&D). Media experts, materials experts, and chemistry teachers are among the study's subjects. Expert validation questionnaires and teacher response questionnaires. The study's findings were that e-learning media based on moodle on atomic structure material had a media feasibility score of 92.8 percent with very feasible criteria and a material feasibility score of 91.7 percent with very feasible criteria. The responses chemistry teachers from Langsa Senior High School yielded an average of 87 percent with very interesting criteria. Abstract

Student worksheets give students the opportunity to participate in hands-on learning, discover strengths and learn from their mistakes. This research aims to produce student worksheets with creative values through the Project Based Learning model on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials.  This research is a development research, the method used in this research is the R&D (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE model modified into ADD, namely Analysis, Design and Development. The instrument in this research is a needs questionnaire, media and material expert feasibility questionnaire, teacher response questionnaire and student response questionnaire. The results showed that chemistry teachers need student worksheets with creative values through the Project Based Learning model on the material of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. The feasibility of student worksheets was obtained at 77.08% with a feasible category, the practicality was in the very practical category with an average score of 89.50% and the attractiveness of student worksheets in the very attractive category with an average score of 89.97%. So it can be concluded that the developed creative value-loaded student worksheets is feasible to use in learning.
