Abstract

Various people who study historical linguistics may have their own reasons against this field. Anyone can enjoy the intellectual challenge by applying the technique is difficult to 'dig' the past and find out about things that we cannot know about otherwise. There are probably looking for features of the language of 'universal' and how language changes, in an effort to determine what makes us 'human' to be unique (assuming, in fact, that we are very different from other animals). And others may learn the historical linguistic studies in an effort to use information that can tell us about non-linguistic history of the people who use the language. In the last chapter, I will show you the kinds of linguistic history information that can tell us about the history of non-linguistic communities, and how this information is reliable. You have seen that by comparing the number of languages which have certain similarities, it is possible to reconstruct the proto-language ancestors of that language. If we consider the system involves the culture of the facts related to each other, in the same way the language is a system of interrelated facts, it is logically possible to reconstruct the proto-culture in the same way as we reconstruct proto-languages.Clearly, any cultural reconstruction method based on comparative cultivation methods like this will not produce results with the same probability level as we are able to make the reconstruction of phonology, as we approach should involve methods that are not so good, we have to reconstruct the grammar or semantics. In fact, the actual units of a cultural system and the exact nature of the relationship between these units may be more difficult to determine from the reciprocal unit in the grammar and semantics. (Anthropologists have long been envious of the techniques have been developed by linguists to describe a scientific language, and have tried to copy it to describe the culture.) Range 'possibility' of cultural change is more difficult to determine from a variety of possible changes in the grammar and semantics, which again makes it more difficult cultural reconstruction. So, while the reconstruction of culture through the adaptation of the comparative method might be expected, any conclusions we reach in this way should be considered as something that is uncertain.

Abstract

A real-time facial detection system for identifying young and old faces has been developed using a combination of Template Matching and Fuzzy Associative Memory (FAM) methods. This study aims to improve accuracy in detecting facial age, particularly from images captured via a webcam. The system was tested across four categories: Old Men, Young Men, Old Women, and Young Women, with 10 image samples per category. The results indicate that the system achieved an accuracy rate of 83%. The Young Men category exhibited the best performance with 100% accuracy, while detection errors occurred in the Old Men and Old Women categories, with a false positive rate of 30%. The system proved to be more effective at detecting young faces than old faces. The primary challenge of this study was managing the complex variation in the patterns of older faces. Thus, further research is required to enhance the system’s performance in detecting older faces and reduce the false positive rate.

Abstract

Games are one of the entertainment media that people choose to relieve boredom or just to fill their free time. Apart from being an entertainment medium, games can also be a learning medium to improve a person's brain development. Action games provide a good opportunity to train children's agility in thinking. Action games are games with the main feature of rapid shooting facilities with lots of action where players must have fast reaction skills to avoid enemy fire or avoid obstacles. Most of the action games "Space Invaders" are still or even the graphics and specifications are still low and there are almost no good graphics. This is because there are no applications for making games yet, but as time goes by, there are now applications that can make games easily, but these applications are still rarely used.

Abstract

This study analyzes the factors that affect the buying interest in LocknLock products, especially from the perspective of consumer value who care about the environment and attitudes towards products. This study uses a quantitative method with a purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of 120 respondents who were consumers in Lhokseumawe City who had never bought or used environmentally friendly products. The sample was selected to represent potential consumers for eco-friendly products, such as LocknLock products. The findings showed that the variables of attitude on products had a positive and significant effect on buying interest, while the variables of altruism, innovation, environmentally friendly consumer values, and perception of communication behavior did not have a significant effect on bell interest. These results underscore the importance of increasing certain factors to increase buying interest. The study provides a new perspective with a focus on consumers in Lhokseumawe, which is different from previous research in Germany. In addition, this study shows that attitudes towards products have a more significant influence than other factors such as altruism, innovation, environmentally friendly consumer values, and perception of communication behaviors that were previously considered important in many studies. This research provides practical benefits for companies by helping them understand the importance of increasing consumers' positive attitudes towards eco-friendly products to encourage buying interest. This research also helps companies in designing more effective communication strategies to increase buying interest.

Abstract

Alue Naga Village in Banda Aceh City is a village that has a river and is directly adjacent to the sea, so this village has the potential to produce oysters. Oyster shell waste is usually dumped on the banks of the river, into the river, or thrown back into the oyster farm. This results in land and water pollution. This pollution can cause rivers to become shallow; if this continues, it can result in natural disasters such as floods. Therefore, Therefore, this service aims to provide education and training related to oyster shell waste into something more valuable. This activity also involved CV. Natural Aceh Food is a forum for the community to market its products. The production process required 5 minutes to grind 8 kilos of oyster shells and produce 7.7 kilos of oyster shell powder. Overall, the specific target achieved from this service activity is the packaged oyster shell powder to reduce oyster waste and empower the female oyster farmers in Alue Naga Village to earn additionalincome.

Abstract

Excessive exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays can damage facial skin. Carbon Quantum Dots (CQDs) are active ingredients that can be formulated into peel-off masks needed to protect facial skin from UV exposure. This research aims to formulate a peel-off mask as facial skin protection made from the active ingredient CQDs from rice washing water, test the characteristics, and determine user responses to the product. The mask formulation is divided into five versions, namely F0 (without CQDs), F1, F2, and F3 (with CQDs added at concentrations of 2%, 4%, and 6%, respectively), and F+ (with added vitamin C). The resulting formulations were tested through physical tests, fluorescence using a UV lamp, and UV blocking tests. The test results for the five mask formulas showed a pH range of 4.5-5.6, stability over three weeks of storage, drying time within 27-30 minutes, homogeneity, viscosity ranging from 12,810-18,430 cPs, and spreadability ranging from 5.4-6.6 cm. The results of the organoleptic test using the one-way ANOVA test show that variations in mask formulas do not have a significantly effect on preferences for color, smell, texture, and general preferences. The results of the fluorescence test showed that there was luminescence in formulas F1, F2, and F3. UV blocking properties in the wavelength range 290-320 nm are shown in the formulas F1, F2, F3, and F+. Based on these tests, it can be concluded that the peel-off mask formulation with CQDs from rice wash water successfully produced a good peel-off mask product with a high SPF value, especially in formula F3.
