Abstract

The motivating basis of the study was generated from the fact that there is still little known about the research investigating request strategies in student’s requestive emails in Indonesian context in which the status of English is as a foreign language (EFL). This study intends to examine student’s pragmalinguistic competence realized in request strategies when emailing their lecturers as well as exploring their consideration in choosing certain linguistic means in their email. Case study was employed to get clear description of this particular case. Then, the CCARP framework was utilized to analyze 30 requestive emails composed by 15 students, and qualitative analysis was also applied to draw conclusion from student’s interview. The findings indicated that direct strategies such as mitigated imperative and want statements were mostly realized in more of student’s requestive emails. Moreover, social factors such as age, power, status, and distance become student’s reasons in choosing certain linguistic choices when emailing their lecturers. This present study finally offers some recommendations that can be applied in foreign language setting.

Abstract

Penelitian ini diadakan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh layanan informasi terhadap minat warga desa Lalang Tanjung Pura terhadap pendidikan. Menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif yang meliputi deskripsi, dokumentasi, wawacara, dan observasi. Dilakukan di Desa Lalang Provinsi Sumatera Utara, Kecamatan Tanjung Pura, Kabupaten Langkat. Studi ini menunjukkan pentingnya layanan informasi dalam meningkatkan minat masyarakat terhadap pendidikan. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini, jelas bahwa penggunaan layanan informasi dapat membentuk potensi siswa (klien) untuk mengakses dan memahami bermacam-macam informasi, seperti detail tentang minat dan pendidikan mereka yang kemudian dapat mereka gunakan untuk mengambil keputusan. yang merupakan kepentingan terbaik mereka. Bukan hanya siswa, tetapi termasuk juga orang tua dan wali.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat layanan informasi terhadap minat pendidikan di Desa Lalang Tanjung Pura. Adapaun penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, deskriptif, dan dokumentasi. Peneliti melakukan penelitian di Desa Lalang, Kecamatan Tanjung Pura, Kabupaten Langkat, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa layanan informasi sangat berguna mengembangkan minat pada pendidikanmasyarakat ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Hal ini berarti bahwa dengan melakukan layanan informasi, meningkatkan minat masyarakat untuk mengambil keputusan terhadap kepentingan peserta didik (Klien)

Abstract

Natural resources in Nagori Birong Ulu Manriah Village are classified as good. One of the best industries to improve people's welfare is agriculture. To improve food security in agriculture, this research aims to maximize the use of home yards for vegetable farming. observation, interviews, and documentation with sources are the methods used in this research. In creating food security in the yards of the residents of Nagori Birong Ulu Manriah Village, Sidamanik District through increasing agricultural food production. Therefore, to combat the conversion of agricultural land and meet the food needs of the community, efforts must be made to increase family income and household food security. This community service project aims to help the residents of Nagori Birong Ulu Manriah Village to learn more about plant cultivation and to inspire them to use their yards to increase the local food supply and income for the residents. It is hoped that the Nagori Birong Ulu Manriah Village Government will continue this program to encourage food security and increase household income for the benefits of the community. Key-words: Optimization, Empowerment, Food Security INTISARI Sumber daya alam di Desa Nagori Birong Ulu Manriah tergolong baik. Salah satu industri terbaik untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan rakyat adalah pertanian. Untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan di bidang pertanian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaksimalkan penggunaan lahan pekarangan rumah untuk pertanian sayuran. observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan narasumber merupakan suatu metode yang diaplikasikan pada penelitian ini. Dalam menciptakan ketahanan pangan di pekarangan rumah penduduk Desa Nagori Birong Ulu Manriah Kecamatan Sidamanik melalui peningkatan produksi pangan pertanian. Oleh karena itu, untuk memerangi alih fungsi lahan pertanian dan memenuhi kebutuhan pangan masyarakat, harus dilakukan upaya peningkatan pendapatan keluarga dan ketahanan pangan rumah tangga. Proyek pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu warga Desa Nagori Birong Ulu Manriah untuk belajar lebih banyak tentang budidaya tanaman dan menginspirasi mereka untuk menggunakan pekarangan mereka untuk meningkatkan pasokan makanan lokal dan pendapatan penduduk. Diharapkan Pemerintah Desa Nagori Birong Ulu Manriah melanjutkan program ini untuk mendorong ketahanan pangan dan meningkatkan pendapatan rumah tangga demi kepentingan masyarakat. Kata kunci: Optimalisasi, Pemberdayaan,Ketahanan Pangan

Abstract

Abstract Introduction & Objectives : Ptosis is one of the most common upper eyelid abnormalities. Ptosis surgery is indicated when there is visual compromise. Patient clinical profile is important in diagnosing and planning treatment for ptosis correction. The aim of this study is to describe the clinical profile of ptosis surgery patient in Dr. M. Djamil Hospital Padang. Methods : This study was conducted in descriptive and retrospective manner. This research has been approved by the Medical Faculty of Andalas University research ethics committee No: 332/UN.16.2/KEP- FK/2021. All patients that were diagnosed with ptosis in Dr. M. Djamil Hospital Padang from January 2016 to December 2021 were included. Results : There were 33 patients included in this study. Most common age range was 11-20 years old (51.5%), patients were dominantly female (51.5%). According to laterality, the most common was unilateral ptosis, 21 cases (63.6%). Congenital ptosis comprises 51.5% of the cases with myogenic as the most common etiology. Severe ptosis was found in 20 cases (57.6%), poor levator function was found in 17 cases (51.5%). Levator resection was performed in 19 cases (57.6%). Thirty patients (90.9%) had MRD1 ≥2 mm post-surgery. Conclusion : Levator function is important in determining the surgical method. In severe ptosis with poor levator function, frontalis suspension is the surgery of choice. Appropriate surgical procedure in accordance to accurate pre-operative evaluation will show a good surgical result.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of mediation of innovation in the influence of entrepreneurial orientation, technological orientation and intensity of competition on the performance of MSMEs by Muslim women who cultivate melinjo in the village of Menes Pandeglang, Banten. This research uses quantitative methods and statistical analysis tools in the form of smartpls 4.0. This study used a sampling technique in the form of quota sampling as many as 62 female entrepreneurs who processed melinjo. The results of this study found that there was an influence of entrepreneurial orientation and technology on innovation but different results on the intensity of competition. Other results explain that the influence of entrepreneurial orientation and innovation on performance but technology orientation and competition intensity have no effect on performance. The role of mediation has an effect on entrepreneurial orientation and technology on performance but has no effect on the intensity of competition. This research focuses on the role of women in improving the performance of MSMEs processed melinjo. In addition, the focus of this research is on the village of Menes, which is one of the villages in Pandegelang, Banten. The novelty in this study is that apart from the object of research, it is also a research model that has never been studied before.

Abstract

Penanaman Modal Asing (PMA) and Penanaman Modal Dalam Negeri (PMDN) are important sources of financing for developing regions and can make a significant contribution to development. As a component of capital flows, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is considered a relatively stable inflow compared to other capital flows, such as portfolio investment and foreign debt. A country's economy relies on investment to solve various problems, crises, and economic challenges. This is because investing in certain sectors of the economy can quickly change the various economic challenges facing a country. Both private and public investment bring many benefits, including job creation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of domestic and foreign investment on economic growth. This type of research is quantitative research. The research instrument used is documentation of research instruments through books and scientific journals. Data analysis using multiple regression method. As a result, it can be seen that foreign investment has a large positive effect on economic growth. Foreign direct investment helps Indonesia achieve stable national development. But domestic investment has no effect on economic growth. The implementation of this research is the need for the government's role as a regulator to support increased domestic and international investment in order to encourage Indonesia's economic growth.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how much influence product quality and service quality have on customer satisfaction at Mixue Ice Cream & Tea. The research method used is a quantitative method approach with data collection techniques using non-probability sampling with a population of 100 respondents and samples taken using the Slovin formula, namely 50 respondents. Data collection used a questionnaire on a Likert scale. Data processing uses SPSS 26 software for instrument testing, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. Based on the research results, it is known that product quality and service quality have a partially significant influence on customer satisfaction. Apart from that, it is also known that product quality and service quality simultaneously have a significant effect on customer satisfaction.

Abstract

STEM adalah singkatan dari Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Metode pembelajaran berbasis STEM merupakan suatu pengetahuan dan keterampilan secara bersamaan untuk menyelesaikan suatu kasus. Pembelajaran STEM dalam pendidikan bertujuan untuk menuntut siswa memiliki pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan untuk mengenali pertanyaan dan tantangan dalam kehidupan mereka, menjelaskan fenomena alam, merencanakan serta membuat simpulan berdasarkan bukti pada mata pelajaran STEM. Pendidikan STEM menawarkan kesempatan kepada guru untuk memperkenalkan siswa pada berbagai konsep untuk mengajarkan materi pengajaran. Salah satunya adalah pendekatan STEM, yang dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam ilmu alam (termasuk kimia). Dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan metode kuesioner dalam format tertulis dan digital dengan menggunakan Google Form. Selain kuesioner, penelitian ini memanfaatkan Teknik wawancara sebagai sarana untuk mengumpulkan informasi tentang pemahaman guru tentang STEM, kurikulum sekolah, dan ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana sekolah. Hasil keseluruhan yang diperoleh dari data faktor pendukung adalah 50%. Berdasarkan informasi kurikulum yang diberikan oleh para peneliti, 50% dicapai dalam bidang studi STEM. Dalam pendidikan STEM yang membentuk pembelajaran kimia, 13% kurikulumnya didedikasikan untuk pembelajaran STEM.
