Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode pretend play terhadap perkembangan motorik anak usia 5–6 tahun, serta mengkaji peran guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan motorik anak melalui kegiatan bermain peran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif melalui reduksi informatif. Subjek penelitian adalah enam guru RA Ath Thaharah di Kecamatan Lubuk Sikaping, Kabupaten Pasaman. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dengan validasi data menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pretend play memberikan dampak yang terlihat nyata terhadap perkembangan motorik anak. Aktivitas seperti berlari, menata benda, menulis, dan menirukan peran mampu merangsang koordinasi gerak, keseimbangan, serta ketangkasan anak. Kreativitas dalam bermain peran juga berkorelasi positif dengan perkembangan motorik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pretend play adalah strategi pembelajaran yang efektif, menyenangkan, dan relevan bagi pendidikan anak usia dini, sehingga perlu diintegrasikan secara rutin dalam pembelajaran tematik di PAUD

Abstract

Globalization significantly affects children’s psychological development, often disrupting cognitive patterns and weakening moral values. This study explores how teachers foster positive communication behavior as part of moral education in elementary schools. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and verification. Results indicate that teachers play a central role in guiding students’ moral development through counseling, religious activities, classroom instruction, and extracurricular programs both inside and outside the school. These findings highlight that teacher-led communication strategies not only strengthen students’ moral character but also build resilience against the negative impacts of globalization. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating communication and moral education into school practices to support holistic student growth.
