Abstract

Wheat Bread producers are required to produce quality products and are liked by consumers. Increasing the quality of bread will certainly have an impact on sales to be generated. One of the efforts in improving the quality is by doing Hedonic test and Hedonic Quality test. This study aims to develop a system capable of providing an assessment of new products to be released on the market. Hedonic quality is used as a variable for assessing bread products with 4 variables, which include flavor, taste, appearance, and texture. While the hedonic test using six classes is very very like, very like, like, rather like, and do not like, then this result will be used as a class of Knowledge Based (KB). This research uses Radial Basis Function Network (RBFN) algorithm, yielding 98,8% accuracy with 10 fold testing technique. The final goal of the development of this system will create a system capable of providing an assessment of a wheat bread product.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini menganalisa tentang hubungan asupan karbohidrat dan indeks massa tubuh pada wanita premenopause dan postmenopause di Indonesia.Penelitian ini menggunakan data Riskesdas 2010 dengan pendekatan Cross-sectional dan desain survei analitik. Sampel yang didapat adalah 6057 wanita premenopause dan 4787 wanita postmenopause. Analisa data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dan uji analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan karakteristik responden didapatkan wanita premenopause tinggal di wilayah perkotaan sebanyak 3.540 orang dan perdesaan 2.517 orang, sedangkan pada wanita postmenopause tinggal di wilayah perkotaan sebanyak 2.733 orang dan perdesaan 2.054 orang. Rata-rata usia wanita premenopause adalah 46 tahun 8 bulan,dan  rata?rata usia wanita postmenopause adalah 51 tahun 7 bulan. Rata-rata indeks massa tubuh wanita premenopause 23,5±3,6 kg, asupan karbohidrat 207,3±67,1 gr dan rata-rata indeks massa tubuh wanita postmenopause 23,32±3,6 kg, asupan karbohidrat 204,4±66,5 gr. Asupan karbohidrat dan indeks massa tubuh berhubungan secara bermakna (p<0,05). Status menopause merupakan variabel terkuat yang mempengaruhi indeks massa tubuh pada wanita premenopause dan postmenopause. Karenanya diperlukan penyuluhan tentang pentingnya memperbanyak asupan karbohidrat dan asupan kalsium serta mengurangi asupan lemak untuk mempertahankan berat badan ideal agar terciptanya derajat kesehatan yang baik

Abstract

The enlargement of the uterus and weight gain in the third trimester of pregnancy then the center of gravity moves forward so that the pregnant woman must adjust her stance. Improper body changes will force additional stretching and fatigue on the body, especially in the back. One of the causes of low back pain is due to hormonal changes that cause changes in the supporting and connecting soft tissues resulting in decreased muscle elasticity and flexibility. The negative impact caused by low back pain is that it can cause a decrease in the quality of life of pregnant women due to disruption of daily physical activities. The research objective was to determine the intensity of pain before and after back pain intervention in two and third trimester pregnant women in Pengelatan Village, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency. This research is a pre-experimental study with a "One Group Pretest-Postest" design. The sampling method used was total sampling. Data collection by interviews, observation, intervention and pain scale Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Analysis data using the univariate and bevariate analysis using paired t-test. The results of the study were differences in pain intensity before and after respondents in the massage intervention. Pregnant women should routinely do massage therapy to reduce pain.

Abstract

Introduction: Proper macronutrient intake, including carbohydrates, protein, and fat, is essential for promoting overall well-being and enhancing physical performance. Adequate food intake is helpful to replenish energy stores during physical activities such as training, competition, or recovering.Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the energy and macronutrient intake habits of male volleyball players who received nutritional counseling as an intervention.Methods: This study was an experimental with one group pre and post test design, conducted on ten male volleyball athletes aged 16-22 years in Jember Regency. The data collection included anthropometric measurements, hydration state, biochemical status, and the the participant's food intake. Data of food intake was gathered on two occasions, specifically prior and following the intervention using 24-hour food recall questionnaire.Result: There was no significant difference in the mean intake of energy, protein, fa t, and carbohydrates before and after the intervention (p>0.05), however there was a tendency towards an increase in the mean intake of energy, protein, and carbohydrates after the intervention. Conclusion: Nutritional counseling proves beneficial in enhancing the energy and macronutrient consumption of male volleyball athletes, although not statistically significant.

Abstract

The dietary intake of athletes is crucial for attaining peak performance, sustaining physical fitness, preventing the risk of injury, and speeding post-competition recovery. A prevalent issue among athletes is insufficient food consumption relative to their nutritional requirements, resulting from a limited understanding of proper dietary practises. The objective of this study is to increase athletes' understanding of dietary consumption through the provision of nutritional guidance to athletes. The study was conducted on ten volleyball atheletes who were in the process of training for the PORPROV (Pekan Olahraga Provinsi) Jawa Timur VIII tournament in 2023. This research used the pre-experimental design method . The research design uses one group pre-test post-test design. The data collected includes body weight, height, food intake and nutritional knowledge of athletes. The analysis used a one sample t-test to see the athletes' food intake and knowledge before and after being given nutritional counseling. The results of this study were a significant increase in athletes' knowledge and energy intake (p <0.05), the average athlete knowledge score before nutritional counseling was 52.5 and after nutritional counseling it was 74.5. The mean energy consumption before to receiving nutritional counselling was 1794.6 kilocalories (kcal), while after receiving nutritional counselling, it increased to 2141.8 kcal. Providing nutrition counselling to volleyball athletes can improve their understanding of dietary requirements and improve their food consumption, finally leading to optimal performance. The government should provide nutritional counseling services for athletes

Abstract

Konstipasi merupakan suatu gejala klinis yang ditandai dengan kesulitan buang air besar (BAB) yang konsistensi tinjanya padat dan frekuensi buang air besar kurang dari 3 kali dalam seminggu. Faktor resiko terjadinya konstipasi salah satunya yaitu asupan serat yang kurang. Asupan serat dapat mengikat air di dalam usus besar dan dapat membuat volume feses menjadi lebih besar sehingga dapat merangsang saraf rektum dan menimbulkan rasa ingin defekasi. Pengetahuan mengenai pola makan yang baik dapat meimbulkan perilaku pola makan yang baik masih belum diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis hubungan asupan serat dan pengetahuan pola makan dengan kejadian konstipasi pada mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Jember. Penelitian ini termasuk kedalam jenis kuantitatif menggunakan rancangan penelitian observasional dengan desain cross sectional. Jumlah sampel yang didapatkan menggunakan rumus Slovin yaitu 72 mahasiswa Jurusan Kesehatan dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara probability sampling dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan Food Recall 1x24 jam yang dilakukan dalam 3 hari secara tidak berurutan, kuesioner kejadian konstipasi dan kuesioner tingkat pengetahuan pola makan. Analisis statistik menggunakan SPSS Statistic Versi 25 yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara variabel yaitu uji Korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara asupan serat dan pengetahuan pola makan dengan kejadian konstipasi.

Abstract

Improving nutrition and improving the health status of infants can be done through growth monitoring and nutritional status assessment at posyandu every month. During posyandu activities, a nutrition intervention or counselling through infographic  also carried out to increase maternal awareness of good infant feeding.  The aim of the study was to determine the increase in knowledge and infant feeding by mothers in Sumbang Village after the nutritional intervention. This study design used experimental method with counselling using infographic  media to 48 mothers of infants and toddlers. The bivariate analysis used was Wilcoxon test. A p value of 0.03 was obtained for changes in knowledge level and a p value of 0.04 for changes in feeding practices both before and after the intervention. The use of infographic  media was effective enough in improving knowledge and feeding practices of infants and toddlers in Sumbang Village, Sumbang District.

Abstract

Background: Leg muscle strength is important in soccer because all movements in the sport require leg muscle strength. Leg muscle strength is influenced by muscle mass, nutritional intake, age, and sex. Inadequate nutritional intake can disrupt an athlete's performance.Objective: This research aims to determine the relationship between muscle mass percentage and energy and protien intake with leg muscle strength among Pordes FC soccer athletes.Method: This study uses a cross-sectional research design. The subjects of this study were 25 Pordes FC soccer athletes from Kalisat, Jember Regency, aged 18-30 years, using total sampling techniques. Data on energy and protein intake were collected using the 2x24 hour food recall method, muscle mass was measured using BIA, and leg muscle strength was measured with the vertical jump test.Result:The analysis results for the variables of energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrate intake with leg muscle strength showed energy intake (p=0.000) and protein (p=0.001), indicating a significant relationship between energy, protein intake and leg muscle strength.Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between muscle mass percentage, energy and protein intake with leg muscle strength, in Pordes FC soccer athletes. Pordes FC athletes ought to diet based on their dietary requirements and choose high-quality protein sources.
