Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformational leadership of the head of SMP Plus Jabal Noor Pogalan Trenggalek and the organization's commitment to improving the performance of its employees. The research method used is a type of qualitative research (field research study), namely field research using data collection methods from participant/direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The result of this study is that the principal of Jabal Plus Junior High School Noor Pogalan Trenggalek has implemented transformational leadership in its organization, which is shown by the changes in systems and policies in schools that have followed the development of today's times and there is also a strong organizational commitment in this institution so that it has an impact on improving employee performance. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepemimpinan transformasional kepala SMP Plus Jabal Noor Pogalan Trenggalek dan komitmen organisasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawainya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif (field research study), yaitu penelitian lapangan dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data dari observasi partisipan/langsung, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa kepala SMP Plus Jabal Noor Pogalan Trenggalek sudah menerapkan kepemimpinan transformasional di organisasinya yaitu ditunjukkan dengan adanya perubahan-perubahan sistem dan kebijakan di sekolah yang sudah mengikuti perkembangan zaman sekarang dan juga sudah ada komitmen organisasi yang kuat di Lembaga ini sehingga berdampak pada meningkatkan kinerja pegawai.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this work is to describe the Urgency of Leadership and Managerialship of School Principals in Improving School Performance. This research uses a literature review method to analyze the urgency of school principal leadership and managerial leadership in improving school performance. This method collects and analyzes information from various relevant sources to gain an in-depth understanding of the topic being discussed. Through this approach, researchers can identify patterns, themes, and gaps in the literature to formulate practical recommendations for school principals in increasing student motivation, reducing school dropout rates, and increasing participation in extracurricular activities. The results of this work are that effective leadership and management are very important to improve school performance through reward systems, mentorship programs, and collaboration with parents. Education about the dangers of online game addiction and providing interesting extracurricular activities can help students stay focused on academics. Financial assistance, teacher training, and partnerships with local communities are also needed to overcome barriers and improve the quality of education. Improved infrastructure and integration of technology in learning supports a conducive learning environment, while ongoing monitoring and evaluation ensures the effectiveness of school programs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang dimensi kepemimpinan transformasional sebagai bentuk kepemimpinan yang dianggap paling mendekati ideal. Kepemimpinan transformasional adalah kepemimpinan yang mampu menciptakan perubahan yang mendasar dan dilandasi oleh nilai-nilai agama, sistem dan budaya untuk menciptakan inovasi dan kreatifitas pengikutnya dalam rangka mencapai visi yang telah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dengan jelas konsep dimensi kepemimpinan transformational di Lembaga Pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research dengan pendekatan kualitatif diskriptif dan verifikatif. Dalam dimensi kepemimpinan transformasional terdapat empat hal, yang dikenal dengan istilah 4I (four ai), yaitu: Idealized influence (pengaruh ideal), inspirational motivation (motivasi inspirasional), intellectual stimulation (stimulasi intelektual), dan individual concideration (pertimbangan individu).

Abstract

This research aims to find out about leadership, managerial ship, and the similarities and differences between leadership and managerial ship. Even thought the two terms are closely related and are often used interchangeably, they have differences. A leader has the task of giving direction and giving subordinates the task of moving towards the same goal and manager function in the field of management implementation. The method used in this research is library research, data was obtained from various sources such as books, articles,s and journals about leadership and management. The results of the research are: 1) leadership is the art and ability that a person has in using his power to influence other people to carry out certain activities to achieve predetermined goals, 2) managerial ship is managerial ability in preparing implementation plans as well as placing employees in accordance respective position, 3) the similarity between leadership and managerial ship is that both have responsibility and subordinates, 4) the differences is that in leadership, a leader is tasked with directing and moving subordinates, whereas in managerial ship, a manager has duties according to management functions.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan telah menjadi topik diskusi yang tak pernah reda selama sepuluh tahun terakhir, bahkan hingga saat ini. Hal ini dianggap sebagai salah satu elemen krusial dalam sebuah organisasi yang memengaruhi keberhasilan dan kegagalan. Kepemimpinan dianggap lebih penting daripada komponen lain dalam sebuah organisasi, seperti struktur, budaya, praktik manajerial, visi, misi, tujuan, strategi, kebijakan, prosedur, dan iklim kerja. Penegasan akan pentingnya kepemimpinan sebagai faktor penentu kemajuan atau kemunduran suatu organisasi semakin diperkuat dengan munculnya berbagai teori kepemimpinan. Indikator lain yaitu adanya praktek-praktek terkini tentang kepemimpinan dalam organisasi menunjukkan adanya perhatian besar terhadap kepemimpinan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the Head of Madrasah performs the dimensions of transformational leadership through the Quran learning program to improve competitiveness in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Islamiyah Ngoro Jombang. This research used the field and case study qualitative methods. The research results show that this leadership dimension includes the following: (1) idealized influence: socializing the vision, mission, and goals of Quranic learning consistently; (2) inspirational motivation: inspiring and motivating the performance of educators to consistently maintain the quality of Quranic learning; (3) intellectual stimulation: understanding internal weaknesses and external threats from various perspectives to find solutions; and (4) individualized consideration: receiving suggestions, criticisms, and complaints about the Quranic learning process and having direct dialogue with educators and parents. Implementing transformational leadership in madrasah, especially in Quranic learning, can improve the competitiveness of educational institutions. These transformational leadership attitudes make a significant contribution to developing Islamic educational institutions and increasing their competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the critical role of religious leaders in Islamic education so that people understand that something they learn will be helpful in their lives in this world and the hereafter so that they will not feel a loss in learning and applying Islam in their lives. This research uses a case study research method with a qualitative approach. Researchers conducted intensive interviews, involvement observations, and collection of documentation as data mining directly in the field and analyzed by describing events in the field. This study found that the role of religious leaders as leaders in carrying out Islamic religious education is carried out through example, practice and action, ibrah and advice, dialogue, and non-formal coaching and management. This research has implications for the importance of example, practice, deeds, ibrah and advice, dialogue in managing non-formal educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership of female school principals to improve teacher cooperation. The focus of the study on the application of the transformational leadership style in terms of its implementation phase. This research was conducted at Al-Huda Islamic Elementary School, for two reasons, namely the principal of the school is a woman and the image of the school is popular and very popular with the community. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data is then analyzed with cycles of data collection, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study revealed that the implementation of transformational leadership in Al-Huda Islamic Elementary School went through two phases namely, first the leader was able to carry himself and fully understand being a personal leader which was implemented through: leader awareness and understanding the epistemology of leadership. Both leaders are able to influence and form cooperation with followers which is implemented through: providing work motivation, effective communication, being able to set an example, stimulate, and establish friendships.
