Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education is not only used to provide personalized feedback, but can also be used to build learning systems that can adapt and be tailored to the needs of each student. This study aims to determine the role of AI in improving mathematical cognitive abilities in students. The method used to obtain data is a Systematic Literature Review. Articles were collected using article search engines such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, DOAJ, and Eric. The results of the article search were screened based on predetermined criteria. The final screening resulted in 10 articles from national and international journals being used as literature review material. Based on the analysis, AI has been used at the elementary, junior high, high school, and university levels to improve various mathematical cognitive abilities. The role of AI in mathematical cognitive abilities includes analyzing, evaluating, organizing, and providing space for discussion and reflection. AI plays a role in cognitive abilities such as creative thinking, critical thinking, problem solving, and computational abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to identify students’ difficulties in solving Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) problems in terms of their computational thinking skills and levels of self-confidence. The study incorporates four indicators of computational thinking combined with students’ self-confidence levels to examine their patterns of difficulty more comprehensively. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving two ninth-grade students from MTsN Muaradua who were selected based on the results of a self-confidence questionnaire and a computational thinking test. Data were collected through questionnaires, written tests, and semi-structured interviews. The findings show that students with high self-confidence were able to solve SPLDV problems across all four indicators through logical, reflective, and systematic steps. In contrast, students with low self-confidence experienced difficulties at the abstraction stage and particularly at the generalization stage when required to formulate a general equation from the obtained results. Low self-confidence led to hesitation in connecting relationships between variables and hindered reflective thinking. These findings indicate the need to strengthen affective aspects alongside the development of computational thinking in SPLDV learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Wingeom application in cooperative learning type Make A Match to improve students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. The study was motivated by the low performance of Indonesian students in mathematics as reported in PISA 2022 (OECD, 2022). The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The sample consisted of 72 eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Kota Tangerang, divided into an experimental class (using Make A Match with Wingeom) and a control class (conventional learning). The research instrument was an essay test consisting of 11 items that had been validated and tested for reliability. The study provides strong evidence of measuring genuine improvement in students’ mathematical conceptual understanding, as reflected in the significant difference between the experimental group’s mean post-test score of 28.78 and the control group’s mean score of 22.69, supported by a large effect size of 0.893. Therefore, the Wingeom application proved effective in improving students’ mathematical conceptual understanding through cooperative learning type Make A Match.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur yang bertujuan menganalisis perkembangan dan implementasi Internet of Things (IoT) dalam mendukung pengelolaan energi terbarukan serta pembelajaran berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan analisis terhadap 20 jurnal ilmiah internasional dan nasional yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2016–2024, ditemukan bahwa IoT berperan penting dalam meningkatkan efisiensi sistem energi surya, pertanian cerdas, serta efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Penerapan IoT dalam sistem energi surya terbukti mampu meningkatkan efisiensi konversi daya hingga 7%, mengurangi latensi transmisi hingga 90%, dan menurunkan biaya pemeliharaan. Dalam pendidikan, IoT terbukti memperkuat literasi teknologi dan kesadaran keberlanjutan siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project-Based Learning) yang relevan dengan tujuan Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Kajian ini menegaskan bahwa IoT berpotensi besar untuk menjadi penggerak utama dalam transformasi energi bersih dan pendidikan berorientasi masa depan.

Abstract

Penyebaran kecerdasan buatan generatif, khususnya ChatGPT, dalam sektor pendidikan sedang mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, sehingga menawarkan keuntungan potensial dan tantangan yang melekat. Investigasi ini berusaha untuk menggambarkan berbagai modalitas aplikasi, hasil yang menguntungkan, efek samping, serta kekurangan penelitian yang ada yang berkaitan dengan AI generatif dalam konteks pendidikan. Metodologi yang digunakan terdiri dari tinjauan literatur sistematis yang mencakup 42 artikel yang diindeks di Scopus. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa ChatGPT diterapkan dalam praktik pedagogis, evaluasi, pengalaman belajar yang disesuaikan, dan regulasi pembelajaran seseorang, menghasilkan efek afirmatif pada literasi kognitif, emosional, dan digital, di samping timbulnya risiko ketergantungan dan pengurangan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Studi ini menggarisbawahi perlunya pendekatan yang dikelola dengan hati-hati dan berkelanjutan untuk penggabungan teknologi AI generatif
