Abstract

Abstract

The background of this study is based on the importance of human resource (HR) managerial strategies in enhancing the performance of healthcare workers. The productivity of healthcare workers is a crucial factor in ensuring the quality of hospital services, especially in military institutions such as Military Hospital Level IV Atambua, which face challenges such as high discipline, work pressure, and limited facilities. The aim to explore the managerial HR strategies that influence the productivity of healthcare workers, such as internal challenges, applied managerial strategies, management critique strategies, incentives, appreciation, work facilities, and work environment. The research design using an exploratory mixed-method approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and questionnaires with healthcare workers and management at the IV Army Hospital in Atambua. The analysis was then conducted thematically and quantitative data processed to identify patterns of managerial strategies and their impact on productivity. The findings shows that the human resource managerial strategy has been implemented through routine training, periodic evaluations, and a job rotation system. This strategy is considered effective in enhancing the skills of healthcare workers, although the distribution of training is not yet evenly distributed across all professions due to internal challenges. On the other hand, hospitals are also trying to provide supporting facilities, but still face constraints of limited medical equipment and comfortable work facilities. The system of incentives and appreciation is still lacking in the hospital environment. However, the aspects of communication and management involvement are still perceived to be suboptimal. The study concludes indicates a strong correlation between human resource management strategies and job satisfaction among healthcare workers, which ultimately impacts work productivity. Enhancing the incentive system, welfare programs, and internal communication are key factors in strengthening the performance of healthcare workers in military hospitals.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of service separation, medical service quality, and polyclinic facilities on patient satisfaction in a private hospital in Tangerang. Based on a survey of 102 respondents, all three variables significantly affect satisfaction. The t-test results show significant effects for each variable (t = 4.127 to 7.695, p < 0.001), and the F-test confirms the model's overall significance (F = 33.900 for BPJS; F = 16.737 for non-BPJS, p < 0.001). Medical service quality and facilities are the most influential factors. Non-BPJS patients report higher satisfaction levels. Abstract

Background : Large number of outbound medical tourism resulted in the loss of the country's foreign exchange. The reasons for service standards, advanced facilities and technology, low and transparent costs, and ease of access are challenges. The government through Permenkes 1 of 2023 supports health business activities in the Sanur SEZ. The research aims to determine the suitability of government policies and medical tourism problems. The methodology of qualitative approach with document study focuses on the analysis of policy documents, white papers, and relevant literature. Secondary research data is limited to inclusion and exclusion criteria, while primary data is with in-depth interviews with medical tourism policy implementers. Analysis of policy conformity with the Dunn Model framework (problem identification, forecasting, evaluation of impacts). The result obtained from the financial side of one of the problems of medical tourism is that Indonesia's high health costs (especially for ASEAN countries. Government policies provide tax relaxation with the potential to reduce costs by up to 30%. On the human resource side, the limited number of specialists in Indonesia, the queue for consultation, and the lack of patient-centered care are complaints. The relaxation of the ease of the process of entering foreign graduate health workers provides flexibility for hospitals to determine services by simplifying recruitment. In terms of support, Malaysia and Singapore offer high-quality and complete health services that do not exist in Indonesia. Relaxation of drugs and medical devices that do not have a distribution permit supports the acceleration of licensing for immediate use. From this, it is concluded that the Sanur SEZ has a great opportunity to become a competitive medical tourism center at the regional and international levels if these challenges can be overcome effectively. Hospitals should develop a strong strategy by forming a strong work team and medical tourism network.

Abstract

A common issue faced by Puskesmas is the low rate of patient revisit intention, which can impact the quality of healthcare services. One of the factors that may influence this issue is patient trust in the services provided, as well as the physical environment of the Puskesmas, which can create comfort for patients. However, few studies have examined the relationship between patient trust and the physical environment of Puskesmas with revisit intention, especially with patient engagement as a mediating factor. This study aims to examine the influence of patient trust and the physical environment of Puskesmas on patient revisit intention, with patient engagement as a mediator, at Puskesmas “X” , Jambi City. This quantitative study uses a survey design and purposive sampling of 100 patients who have received services at the Puskesmas. Data were collected using questionnaires measured with a Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of the study show that patient trust has a positive and significant effect on patient engagement, which in turn influences patient revisit intention. Furthermore, the physical environment of the Puskesmas also has a direct influence on patient engagement and revisit intention. Patient engagement serves as a mediator that links the influence of patient trust and the physical environment of Puskesmas on patient revisit intention. These findings indicate the importance of managing patient trust and the physical environment to enhance patient involvement and their intention to revisit the Puskesmas. This study contributes to policies for improving the quality of healthcare services at Puskesmas to increase patient satisfaction and revisit intention
