Abstract

The article aimed giving an assistance digitalization and implementation of learning models for elementary schools. The community service activities conducted for elementary school teachers at St. Agatha Palembang. The participants in this activity were 16 teachers, the majority of whom were senior teachers and women. This assistance ensure that elementary schools can be better prepared to face the demands of modern education and produce a generation ready to face global challenges in the future. The service method consists of four stages: preparation, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. As a result of this service activity, the level of participant satisfaction with assistance activities was the highest, namely 50.4%, with answers strongly agreeing and 42.8% agreeing, which provided increased professionalism and insight for participants. This assistance has contributed, including supporting teacher freedom in creating learning innovations that suit student needs. Increasing student competence and helping students think creatively, collaborate, solve problems, and communicate aligns with strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile. This mentoring activity can also help teachers provide practical strategies for compiling interesting and relevant project-based material.

Abstract

In a nursing home, the elderly gets health services to support their daily life. These services are documented and reported periodically to elderly families. In addition to managing information about nursing services, there is other information that must also be managed properly to help the smooth operation of the nursing home. To support the information management process, reliable software is needed to have the functions and benefits that are in accordance with the needs. One of the supporting components that contribute to building good software is interface design. This study will discuss the design of nursing home service application interfaces that have fields, characteristics, and functions that are different from other fields, especially the field of special health services for the elderly. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview and insight to desktop, mobile, and web application developers regarding aspects of designing an interface that is acceptable to system users in nursing homes. This will certainly make it easier for developers to produce good and acceptable software. The design of the interface is carried out using the Human-Centered Design (HCD) method which applies a user-focused design approach so that it makes it easy to understand what their needs are. There are several stages in HCD, namely the stage of identifying and determining the context of the user (Understand and specifying the context of use), the stage of identifying user requirements (Specifying the user requirements), the stage of producing design solutions (Producing design solutions) and the stage of evaluating the design (Evaluating the design). This research produces an interactive and easy-to-use interface design because the testing process uses a prototype as a demonstration tool. The test results using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method show that 88.25% of users are satisfied with the design made and in line with the needs of users in a nursing home.

Abstract

Thousands of extensions can be installed on the Joomla CMS with various functions. One of them is the map and location extension, which is useful for meeting the needs of content that display information in the form of visual maps and locations. The Phoca Maps and MX Maps extensions are two of the many map and location extensions available on the Joomla Extension Directory website, downloadable and widely used. This study aims to provide a reference for Joomla CMS users in terms of managing content related to maps and locations through empirical studies of the performance of Phoca Maps and MX Maps extensions. In measuring extension performance, Google Lighthouse is used to audit all quality aspects that support the performance of a web application. The research results found that, in general, the desktop and mobile performance of the Phoca Maps and MX Maps extensions was unsatisfactory. This can be seen from the performance testing results for First Contentful Paint, Speed Index, Largest Contentful Paint, Time to Interactive, Total Blocking Time, and Cumulative Layout Shift.
