Abstract

Serving in a sepak takraw game is one of the important techniques to determine success in the game. However, it needs to be understood that many factors influence the success of the sepak takraw service. This study is focused on examining the association between eye-foot coordination, balance, and the ability to serve in sepak takraw. The research adopts a descriptive approach with a correlational design and involves the entire student population of Gunung Sari II Elementary School in Makassar. Using purposive sampling, a sample of 40 male students was selected for the study. The instruments in this study are eye-foot coordination using the ball bounce test against the wall. Balance using (standing crane), sepak takraw using sepak takraw service test. Data analysis employed both single correlation (r) and multiple correlation (R) at a 95% significance level. The results showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between eye-foot coordination and balance with serving ability in the sepak takraw game. This information can serve as valuable reference material for coaches and physical education instructors when teaching or training sepak takraw.

Abstract

Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kebugaran. Secara khusus, program ini dirancang untuk: (1) Meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman mengenai pentingnya kebugaran; (2) Membantu meningkatkan kesehatan dan menjauhkan diri dari penyakit melalui aktifitas fisik dan diharapkan dapat menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih sehat, sehingga meningkatkan produktivitas. pelaksanaan kegiatan ini melibatkan beberapa tahapan yang sistematis. Tahapan Metode pertama adalah analisis kebutuhan, dilakukan survei dan wawancara dengan masyarakat dan pemerintah daerah setempat mengidentifikasi tingkat pemahaman tentang hubungan kebugaran dan olahraga dengan produktifitas kerja. Selanjutnya, dilaksanakan Metode pelatihan workshop yang mencakup teori dan praktik tentang jenis aktivitas gerak beserta dosis latihannya. Metode Evaluasi dan pendampingan pasca pelatihan juga menjadi bagian penting dalam memastikan keberlanjutan program. hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan mengenai pola makan yang mendukung, pentingnya aktifitas fisik, dan pola istirahat yang mendukung produktifitas kerja.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in education has gained significant momentum, particularly through AI-based writing assistants (AIbWAs), which offer considerable potential for enhancing the writing skills of EFL students. This explanatory mixed-methods study aimed to investigate EFL students' attitudes toward AIbWAs and explore their practices in academic writing classes. The participants were 83 EFL students from a private university in Indonesia. Quantitative data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire using a 4-point Likert scale to measure cognitive, affective, and behavioral dimensions of students’ attitudes. The AIWAs examined included QuillBot, Grammarly, and ChatGPT. Based on attitude scores, students were categorized into four groups: embracing (31.3%), acceptance (38.6%), indifference (26.5%), and resistance (3.6%). The mean attitude score was 3.21, reflecting a generally favorable perception. Students in the embracing and acceptance groups reported frequent use of AIbWAs for grammar correction, paraphrasing, vocabulary enhancement, and idea development. Students in the indifference group used the tools sporadically, often citing uncertainty or lack of confidence in the AI output. The resistance group raised concerns about overreliance, academic dishonesty, and the potential loss of personal writing voice. Twelve students representing each group were selected for semi-structured interviews. Thematic analysis of interview data revealed three key themes: perceived usefulness in improving writing quality, trust and skepticism toward AIbWAs' suggestions, and the perceived need for human judgment and ethical boundaries in academic writing. The findings underscore the importance of targeted digital literacy and pedagogical guidance to support effective and ethical use of AIbWAs in EFL contexts

Abstract

Background Problems: Receiving the first ball is a problem for national sepak takraw athletes at the 2023 Cambodia Sea Games, where the reception technique is in the bad category. Research Objectives: This study aims to determine the effect of using tennis racket media on SEA Games athletes in Cambodia on improving sepak takraw reception skills. Methods: This study used quantitative methods with a one-group pretest and posttest. Random sampling was used to select Cambodian SEA Games sepak takraw athletes as research subjects. The population in this study were men’s sepak takraw athletes from the 2023 Cambodia Sea Games national training, with the sample used totaling 12 athletes taken randomly. Findings and Results: The results showed that the use of tennis racket media had a significant effect on increasing acceptance of sepak takraw games. Athletes who follow the training programme with tennis racket media experience a consistent increase in their ability to receive the ball.  Conclusion: These results indicate that the use of this additional training tool can be an effective strategy for improving the performance of sepak takraw athletes. The study makes some significant contributions to understanding the use of racket media in the training of sepak takraw athletes. Further research and wider experimentation can help deepen the understanding of the potential use of tennis racket media in sports training.
