Abstract

DAGUSIBU is a family-based movement program aimed at raising awareness and understanding of the proper use and management of medicines. This community service program was conducted in Kalibaru Village, Tengah Tani District, Cirebon Regency, with the objective of enhancing public knowledge and awareness regarding medication management within the household. The DAGUSIBU educational method was implemented through presentations, educational video screenings, hands-on practice in handling damaged or expired medicines, and activity evaluations. The results showed a significant increase in public knowledge after the educational activities were conducted. Awareness of obtaining medicines from official facilities increased by 82.63%, proper medication usage improved by 84.14%, correct medication storage knowledge rose by 89.44%, and understanding of handling damaged and expired medicines increased by 76.8%. Through this educational initiative, the community became more selective in acquiring, using, storing, and disposing of medicines, thereby supporting therapy optimization and the rational use and management of medications.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the integration of Maqashid syariah principles in supporting environmental sustainability through the implementation of the Green Economy concept, with a case study on the Ikat Weaving industry in Parengan. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the principles of Maqashid Sharia, such as Hifz al-Din, Hifz al-Nafs, Hifz al-'Aql, Hifz al-Mal, and Hifz al-Nasl, have begun to be internalized by weaving industry players, especially in the form of environmental awareness, waste management, and the use of environmentally friendly materials. In addition, Islamic values such as 'adl (justice), ihsan (kindness), and khalifah (human responsibility towards the earth) are in line with the principles of the Green Economy which emphasizes resource efficiency and ecological justice. However, the application of these values still faces challenges, including the limitation of natural raw materials, high production costs, and low market interest in environmentally friendly weaving products. Therefore, synergy is needed between the government, business actors, and the community to support the transition to a sustainable industry based on Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Ikatan Pelajar Nahdlatul Ulama (IPNU) and Ikatan Pelajar Putri Nahdlatul Ulama (IPPNU) organizations in the development of Bangeran Village, Dukun District, Gresik Regency. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The findings show that IPNU and IPPNU play a significant role in the development of youth character and contribute to various development programs at the village level. These organizations not only focus on character education but also improve the quality of education, skills, and leadership among students. Factors influencing the effectiveness of IPNU-IPPNU in village development include effective leadership, active member participation, and partnerships with various stakeholders. Overall, this study concludes that the existence of IPNU-IPPNU has proven to provide a real contribution in shaping a high-quality young generation while supporting sustainable village development. Therefore, the role of these student organizations needs to be continuously strengthened to become strategic partners in community development and education.

Abstract

Bioteknologi konvensional telah lama menjadi dasar penting inovasi pangan fungsional, khususnya melalui fermentasi yang meningkatkan nilai gizi dan menghasilkan senyawa bioaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran bioteknologi konvensional dalam inovasi pangan fungsional melalui studi perubahan pH, rasa, warna, dan aroma pada fermentasi kombucha teh dengan penambahan madu sebagai sumber karbon alami. Penelitian eksperimen dengan metode campuran digunakan. Populasi adalah mikroorganisme simbion pembentuk SCOBY. Sampel berupa kombucha dengan sumber gula madu dan gula jagung sebagai kontrol selama 10 hari. Pengukuran pH digital dan penilaian sensori warna, aroma, serta pembentukan pelikel SCOBY diamati berkala. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk membandingkan pengaruh sumber gula terhadap kestabilan fermentasi dan kualitas produk. Hasil menunjukkan fermentasi dengan madu menghasilkan pH stabil, lapisan SCOBY lebih tebal dan bersih, warna lebih terang, serta aroma asam segar tanpa kontaminasi. Sebaliknya, gula jagung menimbulkan kontaminasi jamur dan fermentasi kurang stabil. Enzim dan mineral alami dalam madu mendukung pertumbuhan mikroba dan efek antibakteri, meningkatkan nilai fungsional. Madu dipandang sebagai sumber gula alami unggul untuk fermentasi kombucha yang meningkatkan keamanan, kualitas sensorik, dan bioaktivitas. Penelitian lanjutan disarankan memperpanjang durasi fermentasi dan analisis mikrobiologis lebih rinci.
