Abstract

Latar Belakang : Upaya perbaikan kesehatan kerja menjadi penting untuk membangun SDM ketenagakerjaan yang berkualitas, sehingga memiliki produktivitas yang baik. Gizi tenaga kerja mempunyai peranan penting untuk meningkatkan produktivitas. Tenaga kerja perlu mendapatkan asupan gizi yang baik dan sesuai dengan jenis maupun beban pekerjaan. Dengan demikian akan menghasilkan tenaga kerja yang mempunyai daya tahan, kesehatan dan satus gizi pekerja yang baik. Kelebihan asupan energi dan rendahnya aktivitas fisik meningkatkan risiko terjadinya obesitas. Angka kebutuhan energi dan zat gizi lain perlu disesuaikan dengan tingkat aktivitas fisik individu tenaga kerja. Tujuan : Mengidentifikasi determinan status gizi pada tenaga kerja CV. Karoseri Laksana. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 150 orang pekerja berjenis kelami laki-laki dengan rentang usia 19 – 66 tahun, diambil dengan metode simple random sampling. Data asupan energi diperoleh melalui kuesioner food recall 3 x 24 jam. Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) diukur menggunakan metode antropometri. Data beban kerja dihitung dengan cara mengukur tingkat beban kerja melalui reaksi fisiologis tubuh berdasar cardiovascular strain secara manual dengan menggunakan stopwatch. Analisis data dengan Shapiro wilk, rank spearman, dan regresi linier ganda. Hasil : Sebanyak 20% subyek termasuk underweight, 40% subyek termasuk status gizi normal, 14% subyek tergolong overweight, dan 26% subyek tergolong dalam obesitas. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi status gizi tenaga kerja, diantaranya adalah asupan energi, asupan protein, asupan lemak, asupan karbohidrat, dan beban kerja. Variabel yang memiliki pengaruh paling kuat terhadap status gizi adalah beban kerja, sehingga beban kerja dapat digunakan untuk mempredikti IMT. Kata kunci : status gizi, tenaga kerja, obesitas.

Abstract

Background : Healthy physical condition will support the optimal productivity. Hypertension is a non-communicable disease which is one of the problems in public health in Indonesia. Hypertension can cause an increase in morbidity and mortality rates, as well as decrease the economy and work productivity. Objective : To identify determinants of the hypertension in the workforce at PTPN IX Ngobo, Karangjati, Semarang Regency. Methods : This research is an analytical research with cross-sectional approach. There were 75 people as samples with age range of 18-57 years old taken by consecutive sampling method. Blood pressure was measured using a digital tensimeter. Nutritional status was determined based on Body Mass Index (BMI). Body fat percentage and visceral fat were measured with Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA) tool. Data on intake adequacy were collected by conducting interviews using the Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQFFQ). Other variables were work load, work shift, number of family members who were dependent, economic status and smoking behavior. Data analysis was performed using multivariate logistic regression test. Results : 70.7% of the subjects were male. 60% of subjects had hypertension. The mean age of the subjects was 41.44 years, most of which fall into the category of late adulthood (64%). There are two factors that mostly influence the hypertension, which are gender (male) and smoking behavior that can be used to predict the hypertension. The probability of a worker who smokes and is male to suffer hypertension is 68.5%.

Abstract

Background of the study : Central obesity is a factor causing degenerative diseases and can lower work productivity. Excessive energy intake from macro nutrients can cause the accumulation of fat below the skin in the stomach called as central obesity. Purpose :It aimed to analyzethe correlation between the intake of macro nutrients and central obesity in male workers. Method: This research used descriptive-correlative design using cross-sectional approach. The subjects of this research were male workers aged 19-45 years at CV. Karoseri Laksana Semarang as many as 85 people taken by using the method of consecutive sampling. Central obesity was measured based on the waist circumference. The data of the intake was taken from the interview using Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQFFQ). Bivariat analysis used the correlation test of Kendal tau (a = 0.05) Results: The workers suffering from central obesity were 26 people (30.1%). The workers having excessive carbohydrate intake were 51.8%, excessive fat intake were 45.%, and excessive protein intake were 53.4%. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between fat and carbohydrate intake and central obesity, while there is no significant correlation between protein intake and central obesity Abstrak : Latar Belakang : Obesitas sentral merupakan faktor penyebab terjadinya penyakit degeneratif dan dapat menurunkan produktivitas kerja. Asupan energi berlebih dari zat gizi makro menyebabkan penumpukan lemak bawah kulit termasuk di bagian perut yang disebut obesitas sentral. Tujuan :Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa hubungan asupan zat gizi makro dengan kejadian obesitas sentral pada tenaga kerja laki-laki. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Subjek penelitian adalah tenaga kerja laki-laki berusia 19 - 45 tahun di CV. Karoseri Laksana Semarang sejumlah 85 orang yang diambil dengan metode consecutive sampling. Obesitas sentral ditentukan berdasarkan lingkar pinggang. Data asupan diambil dengan wawancara menggunakan Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnair (SQFFQ). Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji korelasi Kendal tau (a = 0.05). Hasil: Tenaga kerja yang mengalami obesitas sentral sejumlah 26 orang (30.1%). Tenaga kerja yang mempunyai asupan karbohidrat kategori lebih yaitu 51,8%, asupan lemak kategori lebih 45.9% dan asupan protein kategori lebih yaitu 53,4%. Simpulan :Terdapat berhububungan bermakna antara asupan lemak dan karbohidrat dengan obesitas sentral , sedangkan tidak ada berhubungan bermakna antara asupan protein dengan obesitas sentral.

Abstract

Pandemic of Covid-19 has resulted in a multi-dimensional crisis that has no impact on the education sector as one of the sectors most severely affected by the crisis. Currently, it is estimated that 60 million students from all levels of education from play group to senior high school in Indonesia study from home. TK ABA 43 is still applying the rules for studying at home for students accompanied by parents. The activities of monitoring children's growth and development, which are usually carried out regularly in schools, are currently unable to be carried out. The school asked parents to weigh and measure height and monitor the child's development and then report the data to the school. The accuracy data reported by the parents is an activity carried out to improve the ability of parents to grow through training in monitoring the growth and development of children. This activity was directly attended by 12 parents and 7 teachers, parents and teachers who were given direct training by being given the material first then given an example of an evaluation carried out by providing opportunities for parents to measure the growth of children directly and the teacher was able to understand and do independent measurement of growth.ABSTRAKPandemi Covid-19 mengakibatkan krisis multi-dimensi tidak terkecuali sektor pendidikan sebagai salah satu sektor yang paling parah terdampak. Saat ini diperkirakan 60 juta murid dari semua jenjang pendidikan PAUD hingga SMA/SMK di Indonesia belajar dari rumah dengan sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh. TK ABA 43 sampai saat ini masih memberlakukan aturan belajar di rumah untuk peserta didiknya dengan didampingi oleh orangtua/wali. Kegiatan pemantauan tumbuh kembang anak yang biasanya dilakukan secara berkala di sekolah saat ini tidak dapat dilakukan. Pihak sekolah meminta orang tua untuk melakukan penimbangan berat badan dan pengukuran tinggi badan dan pemantaun perkembangan anak secara mandiri kemudian melaporkan data tersebut ke pihak sekolah. Keakuratan data yang dilaporkan oleh para orang tua tidaklah sama oleh karena itu tujuan dilakukan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan orang tua dalam memantau tumbuh kembang melalui kegiatan pelatihan pemantauan petumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh 12 orang tua dan 7 orang guru, orang tua dan guru diberikan pelatihan secara langsung dengan diberikan materi terlebih dahulu kemudian diberikan contoh Evaluasi dilakukan dengan memberikan kesempatan kepada orang tua untuk mengukur pertumbuhan anak secara langsung seluruh orang tua dan guru mampu memahami dan melakukan pengukuran pertumbuhan secara mandiri.

Abstract

As humans age, they experience an aging process that is characterized by an increasing number of metabolic and structural disorders, often referred to as “degenerative diseases”. Two of them are hypertension and diabetes mellitus (DM). The elderly need special attention in the form of good health services. Health services can be in the form of health education, namely education on nutritional management of DM and hypertension, followed by elderly gymnastics. Elderly Posyandu cadres are an extension of Puskesmas officers in providing health information to the elderly. Based on observations, the cadres of Ngudi Waras Elderly Posyandu RW V Pudakpayung Village, Banyumanik Semarang still lack knowledge and skills in providing education on the management of DM and hypertension to the elderly. Training activities with lecture methods on the management of DM and hypertension, demonstrations and simulations of providing education in the form of nutrition counseling and exercise were conducted to overcome these problems. The activity was conducted on 6 cadres. The Wilcoxon t-test showed that the cadres’ knowledge increased after the training with a p value of <0.05. The skills of cadres can be seen by their enthusiasm in participating in activities and practicing the given material. Lecture, demonstration, and simulation methods were proven to improve cadres’ knowledge and skills in the management of DM and hypertension   ABSTRAK                 Seiring bertambahnya usia, manusia mengalami proses penuaan yang ditandai dengan semakin banyaknya kelainan metabolisme dan struktur yang sering disebut dengan “penyakit degeneratif”. Dua di antaranya adalah hipertensi dan diabetes melitus (DM). Lansia memerlukan perhatian khusus berupa pelayanan kesehatan yang baik. Pelayanan kesehatan dapat berupa pendidikan kesehatan yaitu pendidikan penatalaksanaan gizi pada DM dan hipertensi yang dilanjutkan dengan senam lansia. Kader Posyandu Lanjut Usia merupakan perpanjangan tangan petugas Puskesmas dalam memberikan informasi kesehatan kepada lansia. Berdasarkan observasi, kader Posyandu Lansia Ngudi Waras RW V Desa Pudakpayung Banyumanik Semarang masih kurang memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam memberikan edukasi pengelolaan DM dan hipertensi pada lansia. Kegiatan pelatihan dengan metode ceramah tentang penatalaksanaan DM dan hipertensi, demonstrasi dan simulasi pemberian edukasi berupa penyuluhan gizi dan senam dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Kegiatan tersebut dilakukan terhadap 6 orang kader. Uji t Wilcoxon menunjukkan pengetahuan kader meningkat setelah diberikan pelatihan dengan nilai p<0,05. Keterampilan kader terlihat dari antusiasmenya dalam mengikuti kegiatan dan mempraktikkan materi yang diberikan. Metode ceramah, demonstrasi, dan simulasi terbukti meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader dalam penatalaksanaan DM dan hipertensi

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of growth failure in children under five resulting from chronic malnutrition, particularly during the first 1,000 days of life. In the body of a stunted child, there are impediments to physical growth and mental development. This is the body's adaptation to malnutrition. The underlying causes of stunting must be addressed so that the impact of stunting is not experienced until adulthood. In 2022, Sragen Regency, Central Java, was identified as a key location for stunting intervention. One of the strategies to accelerate stunting reduction is the provision of assistance to families at risk of stunting. This is carried out by the family support team (TPK) Cadre. The Sragen Regency TPK cadres have provided communication, information, and education to the target group. However, the implementation of this strategy has not been optimised. The cadres lack the requisite skills to prepare materials, create media, and provide education to the target group. They are constrained in their ability to educate target groups about alternative nutrient-dense foods, particularly those derived from local sources in the supplementary feeding program for target groups. Training activities utilize a combination of lecture, discussion, and hands-on preparation of materials and creation of communication, information, and education media according to the target group, video screenings, and demonstrations of nutrient-dense supplementary foods. The activity was attended by 71 representatives of TPK cadres from 10 villages focused on handling stunting in Sragen Regency. The results obtained were increased knowledge and skills of cadres in providing communication, information and education and the provision of nutrient-dense supplementary food. It is recommended that cadres disseminate information about the preparation of materials, the creation of communication, information and education media and alternative nutrient-dense supplementary foods to other cadres in the village. ABSTRAK                 Stunting adalah kondisi gagal tumbuh pada anak balita sebagai akibat kekurangan gizi kronis terutama pada 1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan. Di dalam tubuh anak yang stunting terjadi hambatan pertumbuhan fisik dan perkembangan mental. Hal ini sebagai penyesuaian tubuh terhadap kondisi kekurangan gizi. Akar penyebab stunting harus diatasi agar dampak stunting tidak dialami hingga dewasa. Kabupaten Sragen, Jawa Tengah pada tahun 2022 menjadi salah satu lokasi fokus intervensi stunting. Salah satu program percepatan penurunan stunting adalah pendampingan keluarga berisiko stunting yang dilaksanakan oleh Kader Tim Pendamping Keluarga (TPK). Kader TPK Kabupaten Sragen telah memberikan Komunikasi, Informasi dan Edukasi (KIE) pada kelompok sasaran, namun belum dilaksanakan dengan optimal. Kader TPK belum terampil dalam menyusun materi, membuat media dan memberikan edukasi kepada kelompok sasaran. Kader TPK memiliki keterbatasan dalam memberikan edukasi kepada kelompok sasaran mengenai alternatif makanan padat gizi terutama yang berbahan dasar pangan lokal dalam program Pemberian Makan Tambahan (PMT) kelompok sasaran. Kegiatan pelatihan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi dan praktik penyusunan materi dan pembuatan media KIE sesuai kelompok sasaran, pemutaran video dan demonstrasi untuk PMT pada gizi. Kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh perwakilan Kader TPK dari 10 Desa fokus penanganan stunting di Kabupaten Sragen sebanyak 71 orang. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan, dan keterampilan kader TPK dalam memberikan KIE dan PMT padat gizi. Saran bagi kader TPK adalah meneruskan informasi mengenai penyusunan materi dan pembuatan media untuk KIE dan alternatif PMT padat gizi kepada kader TPK yang anggota kader TPK lain di desanya.

Abstract

Metabolic syndrome is a condition that can lead to the development of cardiovascular disease (CVD), coronary heart disease (CHD), and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). These diseases are frequently referred to as "noncommunicable diseases," and they account for the highest global mortality rates. The occupation of school teachers has been identified as a profession with a high risk of obesity. This is due to the fact that teachers engage in relatively sedentary daily activities, exhibit excessive eating patterns, frequently engage in snacking, and consume foods that are high in calories and carbohydrates. This condition places school teachers at high risk of developing metabolic syndrome and may adversely impact their performance. It is imperative to enhance our understanding and competencies regarding metabolic syndrome and its prevention. A series of educational initiatives have been implemented to promote the prevention of metabolic syndrome among teaching professionals. These initiatives employ a multifaceted approach, incorporating lecture-style presentations, interactive discussions, and hands-on demonstrations. The content of these sessions encompasses an in-depth examination of metabolic syndrome, its underlying causes, the ramifications it can have on individuals, and effective strategies for its prevention. Prior to the commencement of the activity, a series of anthropometric measurements and health assessments were conducted. Additionally, the presentation encompassed material on the role of functional foods in the prevention of metabolic syndrome, along with the processing of healthy foods. Demonstrations of food portioning according to nutritional needs and metabolic syndrome prevention exercises were carried out. The results obtained after the material was administered revealed a 26.55-point increase in the average score of teacher knowledge. A substantial majority of teachers exhibit a commendable degree of pedagogical expertise, with a notable 93.1% demonstrating a high level of proficiency. Teachers' curiosity about the prevention of metabolic syndrome has been shown to encourage active participation in activities. The subject displays a high level of motivation.   ABSTRAK Sindrom metabolik merupakan kondisi yang dapat berkembang menjadi penyakit  gagal jantung (CVD), jantung coroner (CHD) dan diabetes melitus tipe 2 (T2DM). Penyakit tersebut yang sering disebut ”noncommunicable diseases” dan penyebab utama kematian di dunia. Guru sekolah merupakan kelompok dengan risiko obesitas tinggi karena memiliki aktivitas harian tergolong ringan, pola makan yang berlebih, sering ngemil, makan makanan tinggi kalori dan karbohidrat. Kondisi ini menyebabkan guru sekolah berisiko tinggi mengalami sindrom metabolik dan akan berdampak pada performa guru. Diperlukan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan menganai sindrom metabolik dan pencegahannya. Kegiatan pendampingan pencegahan sindrom metabolik pada guru dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi dan demonstrasi mengenai sindrom metabolik, faktor penyebab, dampak dan pencegahannya. Kegiatan didahului dengan pengukuran antropometri dan pemeriksaan kesehatan. Selanjutnya disampaikan materi mengenai pangan fungsional untuk pencegahan sindrom metabolik dan pengolahan makanan yang sehat. Dilakukan demonstrasi pemorsian makanan sesuai kebutuhan gizi dan senam pencegahan sindrom metabolik. Hasil yang didapat setelah diberikan materi adalah meningkatnya rerata skor pengetahuan guru  sebesar 26,55 poin. Hampir seluruh guru memiliki tingkat pengetahuan guru menjadi baik (93,1%). Keingintahuan guru yang mengenai pencegahan sindrom metabolik menjadi penyemangat guru untuk aktif mengikuti kegiatan. Motivasi yang tinggi untuk memiliki pola makan dan pola hidup yang lebih sehat merupakan dasar perubahan perilaku menjadi perilaku yang lebih sehat.

Abstract

Background: A transition in diet habits towards a greater intake of ultra-processed processed foods is prone to transpire during adulthood. An elevated intake of ultra-processed processed foods affected poor diet quality and elevates the risk of developing obesity. Objectives: To ascertain the correlation between the intake of ultra-processed food, the quality of one's diet, and the prevalence of overweight in young adults. Methods: The study was undertaken using a cross-sectional design. A total of 87 participants in the study were college students between the ages of 18 and 25. They were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data was collected using the Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) to assess ultra-processed food intake. The Diet Quality Index-International (DQI-I) was used to evaluate the total diet quality. The Body Impedance Analyzer (BIA) was employed to measure body fat percentage and identify the nutritional status. The statistical analysis employed the Mann-Whitney and ANOVA tests. Results: There are 9.1% of the participants were classified as overweight, with a diet of low quality at a level of 62.15%. Additionally, 64.4% of the participants consumed ultra-processed foods that fell inside quintile 3. The higher the intake of ultra-processed foods, the higher the total intake of energy, carbs, proteins, and fats, which affects diet quality (r=-0.480). There is a correlation between the consumption of ultra-processed processed foods and excess nutritional status (p=0.022) and low quality of the subject's diet (p=0.000). Conclusions: High levels of ultra-processed food intake is correlated with lower diet quality and overweight nutritional status.

Abstract

Background: BMI is associated with increase in blood pressure. Asia-Pacific BMI recommendation has lower cut-off for overweight and obesity categories than WHO standard. Objectives: To analyze sensitivity of BMI based on WHO and Asia-Pacific recommendation for predicting hypertension. Methods: This study was diagnostic research. Population of this study was women employees in a Garment company in Semarang Regency aged 19-54 years. Total sample was 180 taken using simple random sampling technique. Sensitivity of BMI was analyzed using ROC. Results: Prevalence of overnutrition based on WHO criteria is 30.6% and 87.8% based on Asia-Pacific criteria. Sample with hypertension are 85% and not hypertension 15%. BMI is very good on predicting hypertension with AUC 95.5%. WHO and Asia-Pacific BMI recommendation are associated with blood pressure (p<0.001, r=0.278, 0.450 respectively). Asia-Pacific BMI recommendation has better sensitivity than WHO recommendation (Se=95.4%, Se=35.9%). Conclusions: Asia-Pacific BMI recommendation is more suitable for predicting hypertension in adult women in Indonesia.

Abstract

Lerep Village, located in West Ungaran District, Semarang Regency, has significant agricultural potential, particularly for avocado commodities that began harvesting in 2024. However, the utilization of the harvest is still limited to fresh fruit sales, making it vulnerable to post-harvest damage and price fluctuations. This community service program aims to empower the Rejomulyo Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Lerep Village through the innovation of processing avocados into nutrient-dense food products based on the MODISCO (Modified Dietetic Skimmed Milk and Coconut Oil) formula as supplementary feeding (PMT) to support community nutrition improvement. The program also seeks to initiate entrepreneurship among KWT members through the production of avocado-based ice cream. The implementation methods included socialization, training on formulation and processing, application of appropriate technology, production assistance, and quality evaluation. The results showed increased knowledge and skills among KWT members in avocado processing technology, the establishment of an internal production team, and the successful production of high-nutrition MODISCO–avocado ice cream with labeled packaging. Commercialization has also begun through sales to local residents and participation in the village’s cultural and arts festival. This program supports local food security, women’s empowerment, and stunting prevention efforts through the diversification of functional food products.   ABSTRAK Desa Lerep di Kecamatan Ungaran Barat, Kabupaten Semarang, memiliki potensi pertanian yang besar terutama pada komoditas alpukat yang mulai panen sejak 2024. Namun, pemanfaatan hasil panen masih terbatas pada penjualan segar sehingga rentan terhadap kerusakan pascapanen dan fluktuasi harga. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemberdayaan Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Rejomulyo Desa Lerep melalui inovasi pengolahan alpukat menjadi produk pangan bergizi tinggi berbasis formula MODISCO (Modified Dietetic Skimmed Milk and Coconut Oil) sebagai Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT) untuk mendukung perbaikan gizi masyarakat, serta menginisiasi KWT dalam berwirausaha produk es krim. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan formulasi dan pengolahan produk, penerapan teknologi tepat guna, pendampingan produksi, serta evaluasi mutu. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan KWT dalam teknologi pengolahan alpukat, terbentuknya tim produksi internal, serta dihasilkannya produk es krim modisco-alpukat bergizi tinggi dalam kemasan berlabel, serta telah dilakukan komersialisasi dengan menjual es krim pada warga sekitas dan tampil dalam kegiatan gelar budaya dan seni Desa Lerep. Program ini mendukung ketahanan pangan lokal, pemberdayaan perempuan, dan upaya pencegahan stunting melalui diversifikasi pangan fungsional.
