Abstract

We can still learn a lot about effective public speaking abilities from TED talks, it can encourage student self-confidence and learn how the body movement, intonation, eye contact and keep awareness without nervous, a student will be able to build up confidence in persuading others more effectively on the ideas and opinion that they would like to share comfortably. Watching TED videos Talks provide an overview of the structure of content, helping to understand the content very well. Also, it can help to learn profoundly and as a new learning model that becomes learning becomes interesting. The purpose of this study is to find out the extent of the effect of using Ted Talk videos in influencing students speaking skills This study uses classroom action research that focuses on only one problem that arises from the natural situation of the classroom. The result shows that the implementation of Ted talk videos can improve the students' speaking skills. The students' score in speaking skills before using the Ted talk video technique was low, with the mean score of the pre-test (55). The percentage of the students who got a point up to 75 grew up in the post-test and the mean is (81).

Abstract

Menonton video TED Talks memberikan ikhtisar tentang struktur konten, membantu memahami konten dengan sangat baik. Selain itu, juga dapat membantu untuk belajar secara mendalam dan sebagai model pembelajaran baru yang menjadikan pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik. Kita juga masih bisa belajar banyak tentang kemampuan berbicara di depan umum yang efektif dari TED Talk, hal itu dapat mendorong kepercayaan diri siswa dan belajar bagaimana gerakan tubuh, intonasi, kontak mata dan menjaga kesadaran tanpa gugup, seorang siswa akan dapat membentuk kepercayaan diri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh penggunaan video Ted Talks dalam meingkatakan kemampuan Speaking siswa. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat tentang sosialisasi Penggunaan Ted Talk Video Untuk Meningkatakan Kemampuan Speaking Siswa/Siswi Di SMK Muhammadiyah Paser. Abstract

Background:Individuals use spoken language when they speak, which is a sort of verbal communication. Speaking is animportant action in which a speaker presents his or her ideas and communicates with the audience. The messagedelivered by words or spoken language that provides meaning is referred to as verbal communication (Krauss,2012). Methodology:According to Creswell (2009:3), the term "research design" encompasses everything from study objectives andprocesses to particular data collection and analysis methodologies. As instructional materials, the authoremployed TikTok videos. The author applied the Experimental Method in this study, particularly for PreExperimental research. The "One Group Pretest-Posttest" design was employed in thisstudy. Findings:The data for this study were gatheredusing anoral test. The test was separated into two parts: pre-test and posttest. In the pre-test, students were given random questions thenthe students answer by speak up orally in the class. In the post-test, students were given the new random questions that different from pre-test then studentsanswer by speak up in front of class. Conclusion:Based on the result of the pre-test and post-test, it was found that the test was 29.94 by applying 0.05 level of significancewith 34 degree of freedom (df = 35 - 1 = 34) the author obtained t-table value 2.0322 from themean score of pre-test 168 and mean score of post-test 218. It shows that English Content from Tiktok videoshas significant effect in term of speaking proficiency. Originality:Speaking is a crucial tool in our daily lives for receiving messages and exchanging ideas. It is an interactiveaction in which the speaker generates, receives, and analyzes information in order to construct meaning. Abstract

Background:This research aimed to find out the Improving Students’ Speaking Skills by Using Duolingo Application. Thesubject of this research was a class which consisted of 31 students at eight grade of SMP Negeri 35 Samarinda2022 Academic year. The research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR) and the techniqueof analyzing the data of this research was using quantitative data. The quantitative data were taken from the testsuch as: Pre-test and Post-test to find the mean score of students speaking. It showed that the improving of studentsspeaking skills through Duolingo application could improve students speaking skills and could give an effect onstudents speaking fluency. The students got more enthusiastic, active and interested in learning English language.So, it can be concluded that the improving of students’ speaking skills through Duolingo application was effectiveto improve their speaking fluency, pronoun, grammar, and comprehension. Methodology:This research is design to look at the problem in a class about how to fix the problem and improve StudentsEnglish skills. Findings:The researcher did the research and got the complete data from all the research instruments. Conclusion:Duolingo improves students' speaking skills. According to research, using Duolingo to practice speakingimproves speaking skills. The study found that the mean score increased in every cycle. Originality:This research aimed to find out the Improving Students’ Speaking Skills by Using Duolingo Application. ThisResearch design is to look at the problem in a class about to fix the speaking skills and the researcher did theresearch and got the complete data. From this conclusion Duolingo Application is works to help the teacher teachthe students in a class especially on their speaking ability.

Abstract

Corruption has been hampering development process in Indonesia and it is believed that E-government hypothetically will diminish corruption in the country. The paper briefly compares Corruption Perception Index and Egovernment Index to portray the respective case, and proposes human resources empowerment as essential tactic to curb corruption in public sectors. It concludes that E-government might decrease corruption if it is incorporated with increasing infrastructure and human capital, and; in doing so, managing human resources to exercise their individual moral identity within organization is suggested so that corruption eradication can be initiated from individual selfawareness which then evolves to collective awareness to create a common culture in corruption prevention.

Abstract

Hadirnya pandemi covid 19 tidak hanya berdampak pada kesehatan masyarakat akan tetapi juga berdampak terhadap perekonomian, pendidikan dan juga timbulnya balita stunting di Indonesia. Banyak keluarga kehilangan pendapatan karena pemutusan hubungan kerja, yang berdampak pada penurunan pendapatan keluarga dan  daya beli pangan bergizi yang cukup sehingga berefek pada peningkatan balita stunting. Untuk meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga perlu adanya terobosan melalui  peningkatan pengetahuan dan  keterampilan berwirausaha bagi para ibu rumah tangga untuk menumbuhkan ekonomi keluarga. Aisyiah merupakan suatu kelompok kegiatan wanita yang mempunyai kegiatan pengajian, wirausaha, kesehatan dan lain sebagainya. Tujuan Kegiatan meningkatkan  pengetahuan pembuatan pangan fungsional untuk balita stunting pada kelompok Aisyiyah Kowangan . Metode: Melalui pelatihan yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 3 kali. Jumlah mitra yang terlibat ada 15 orang anggota Aisyiyah Kowangan. Peningkatan pengetahuan dinilai dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebelum dan setelah dilaksanakan pelatihan. Analisa data dilakukan menggunakan SPSS dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan gambar serta dinarasikan dalam bentuk deskriptif. Hasil 98% terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dengan katagori baik tentang proses pembuatan mie, 95% terdapat  peningkatan pengetahuan pembuatan aneka roti kering, sebesar 72%, meningkat pengetahuan dalam pembuatan label dengan kategori baik. Hasil penilaian  sikap 92% memperoleh nilai >80% (Baik), evaluasi praktik (keterampilan) 73,33% telah memiliki kemampuan baik dalam persiapan, proses dan penyajian, 100% peserta sudah memiliki kreatifitas.Kesimpulan: Terdapat meningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pembuatan produk pangan fungsional untuk balita stunting setelah diberikan pelatihan.

Abstract

Keting fish (Mystus gulio) is a local fish from Indonesia. The quality of keting fish oil needs to be maintained to avoid counterfeiting. The use of Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy can be developed for quantitative analysis of keting fish oil (KFO) in binary mixtures with palm oil (PO) and patin fish oil (PFO). In this present research, PLS and PCR models were used to construct a multivariate calibration for the KFO content in the binary mixtures analyzed at fingerprint region frequencies of 1500-1000 cm-1. The results showed that PLS with second derivative FTIR spectra was well suited for quantitative analysis of KFO-PFO with a value of the coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.997 and the error expressed as root mean square error of calibration (RMSEC) = 0.0204. Meanwhile, R2 0.999 and RMSEC values obtained for KFO in a mixture with PO were and 0.0133. In general, FTIR spectroscopy serves as a suitable technique for the determination of KFO in mixtures with other oils.

Abstract

This research aims to see the quality of red fruit oil (RFO) before and after being treated with activated carbon and bentonite. The quality of red fruit oil can be seen from the analysis of physicochemical characterization determination, which includes the determination of acid value (AV), peroxide value (PV), saponification value (SV), iodine value (IV), and p-anisidine value (PAV). In this study, AV RFO ranged from 9,22-10,23 mg KOH/g, PV RFO ranged from 5,57-7,56 meq/kg, SV RFO ranged from 96,57-110,24 mgKOH/g, IV RFO ranged from 70,00-70,83 gI2/100g, and PAV RFO ranged from 5,97-7,00 meq/kg. The purification of RFO using activated carbon and bentonite significantly (p<0,05) affected the physicochemical characteristics of the oil, where the process succeeded in improving the quality of RFO by reducing acid value, peroxide value, saponification value, and p-anisidine value and increasing iodine value.

Abstract

The main source of the state comes from taxes, so the government imposes tax obligations as one of the state obligations for the benefit of the state. Tax is a payable and forced payment payable under tax regulations. Income tax is a tax imposed on taxpayers on income earned in a tax year and has the economic ability received from wherever it comes from to increase wealth. The development in social media is useful for earning income, so endorsement work has emerged, namely to promote products online carried out by underage influencers. So underage influencers earn income from endorsement services, according to tax regulations are obliged to pay tax to the state on the income earned. Based on the description above, the author formulates several problems as follows: First, what is the responsibility of underage influencers to the obligation to pay taxes? Second, what are the legal consequences for underage Influencers with taxable income. The scientific effort of the research method uses normative juridical research sourced primarily from statutory, secondary, tertiary and library materials as well as research specifications with a descriptive approach of analysts to obtain answers to the problems studied. Based on the results of the study, the responsibility of underage influencers for the obligation to pay taxes under the UU PPh is the income of immature children, regardless of the source of income and whatever their work will be combined with their parents' taxes in the same tax year. Legal consequences for underage Influencers with taxable income not paying taxes tax legislation will be subject to administrative sanctions increased by 50%. Under civil law, the sanction will be transferred to the parent because it is under his supervision. For dispute resolution to taxpayers due to a tax assessment letter that is subject to administrative sanctions in the form of an increase but the taxpayer does not agree, it can resolve tax dispute resolution by submitting an objection to the Directorate General of Taxes.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Perundungan di lingkungan sekolah merupakan isu serius yang berpotensi menimbulkan dampak negatif pada siswa, baik secara fisik maupun psikologis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis problematika pencegahan dan penanganan tindakan perundungan di lingkungan sekolah dengan merujuk pada Permendikbudristek Nomor 46 Tahun 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di beberapa sekolah. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen terkait kebijakan pencegahan dan penanganan perundungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya beberapa masalah dalam implementasi kebijakan tersebut, termasuk keberwenangan tim pencegah dan penanganan kekerasan di sekolah yang menjadikan hambatan dalam melaksanakan program pencegahan. Hasil penelitian yang di peroleh dari wawancara dengan bidang kesiswaan di sekolah menunjukkan adanya beberapa masalah dalam implementasi kebijakan tersebut, salah satunya yaitu kurangnya sosialisasi mengenai adanya Permendikbudristek Nomor 46 Tahun 2023 tentang pencegahan dan penanganan kekerasan di sekolah dan hal ini menjadikan hambatan dalam melaksanakan program pencegahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa problematika dalam pencegahan dan penanganan tindakan perundungan di lingkungan sekolah seperti kurangnya sosialisasi Permendikbudristek Nomor 46 Tahun 2023 kepada seluruh warga sekolah dan kurangnya koordinasi antara pemerintah, sekolah dan aparat penegak hukum dalam pencegahan dan penanganan tindakan perundungan di lingkungan sekolah. Pada penelitian ini juga mengusulkan perbaikan kebijakan dan tindakan konkret untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pencegahan serta penanganan perundungan di lingkungan sekolah, sesuai dengan ketentuan Permendikbudristek Nomor 46 Tahun 2023. ABSTRACT: Bullying in the school environment is a serious issue that has the potential to have a negative impact on students, both physically and psychologically. The purpose of this study is to analyze the problems of preventing and handling bullying in the school environment with reference to Permendikbudristek Number 46 of 2023. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach in several schools. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and document analysis related to bullying prevention and handling policies. The results showed that there were several problems in implementing the policy, including the authority of the violence prevention and handling team at school which made obstacles in implementing the prevention program. Research results obtained from interviews with the field of student affairs at school show that there are several problems in implementing the policy, one of which is the lack of socialization regarding the existence of Permendikbudristek Number 46 of 2023 concerning the prevention and handling of violence in schools and this makes obstacles in implementing prevention programs. The results showed that there were several problems in preventing and handling bullying in the school environment such as the lack of socialization of Permendikbudikristek Number 46 of 2023 to all school members and the lack of coordination between the government, schools and law enforcement officials in preventing and handling bullying in the school environment. This study also proposes policy improvements and concrete actions to increase the effectiveness of preventing and handling bullying in the school environment, in accordance with the provisions of Permendikbudikristek Number 46 of 2023.
