Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Big Data in improving educational management decisions in Madrasah. Using a qualitative approach with case studies, the research subjects include educational managers, teaching staff, and students. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis includes reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the application of Big Data significantly improves educational management decisions through four main indicators: student performance analysis, learning personalization, operational efficiency, and trend prediction. Big data analysis allows management to optimize resource allocation, adjust teaching methods to student needs, and make more accurate data-based decisions. The application of Big Data also helps in identifying educational trends and reducing waste, which ultimately improves the quality of education and operational efficiency. These findings underline the importance of data technology integration in designing more effective and result-oriented educational policies and strategies.

Abstract

Facilities and infrastructure are important components in determining the success of the educational process and one of the factors for improving the quality of education in Indonesia. The importance of educational facilities and infrastructure makes every educational institution make maximum efforts to meet the standards of educational facilities and infrastructure to improve the quality of the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The research subjects were principals, teachers, administrative staff, and principals of the Sarpras section of the school. The data collection technique used is the interview method, the observation method, and the documentation method, which will later obtain primary and secondary data for later analysis to get a conclusion. Based on the results of research that the author has carried out, it can be concluded that the management of infrastructure at SMP Negeri 8 Purworejo in supporting the learning process is quite good. However, several management of facilities and infrastructure have not been realized, including in the process of planning, procurement, use, maintenance, and elimination of infrastructure facilities. The obstacles experienced are the lack of human resources in the field of administration and infrastructure and the incoming funds for the procurement process and the infrastructure management process, which is still slow.

Abstract

This study examines the strategy of Islamic education management in improving the quality of students' Quran memorization at Ma'had Tahfiz Vokasional. The research focuses on analyzing the implementation of an integrated education model that combines Quran memorization with vocational education. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that improvements in students' memorization quality are achieved through an integrated curriculum management strategy with balanced proportions of tahfiz, vocational training, and character development. This strategy is strengthened by professional human resource management through selective recruitment and continuous capacity building for tahfiz instructors. The learning process is systematically managed by integrating classical and modern methods within a comprehensive, tiered system. A conducive learning environment is created through the implementation of Arabic language immersion (bi'ah lughowiyah) and the utilization of educational technology. A continuous evaluation system and a strategic partnership with parents support the entire process. The research findings indicate that integrating vocational education enhances memorization quality through intellectual refreshment mechanisms and by building students' self-confidence. This management model offers a new paradigm in tahfiz education that successfully balances spiritual excellence with contemporary social relevance.

Abstract

The integration of tahfizh and vocational education has become a strategic approach for Islamic educational institutions to enhance graduates’ relevance and economic independence. This study aims to analyze the Islamic education management model implemented at Maahad Tahfizh Vokasional Aman Bistari (MTVAB) in Malaysia, recognized as the first institution to formally integrate Qur’anic memorization with vocational training. This research employs a library research method using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were analyzed by examining curriculum integration, managerial mechanisms, and external collaboration models adopted by the institution. The findings indicate that MTVAB’s effectiveness is supported by integrative curriculum planning, systematic supervision, and strategic partnerships with industries and professional certification bodies. These elements enable the institution to balance spiritual development with vocational competence. The study implies that an integrative management model can serve as a viable reference for Islamic educational institutions seeking to produce graduates who are spiritually grounded, professionally skilled, and economically independent in contemporary society

Abstract

This study aims to describe strategies for improving teacher competence through the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) at MTs Pangeran Diponegoro. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña’s interactive model. The study is grounded in national teacher competency regulations, including Law No. 14 of 2005, Government Regulation No. 19 of 2005, Ministerial Regulation No. 16 of 2007, and the objectives of PPG as outlined in Ministerial Regulation No. 87 of 2013. The findings indicate that the PPG program effectively enhances teachers’ pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies. Participants demonstrated more systematic lesson planning, stronger mastery of subject matter, improved communication and collaboration skills, and increased professional commitment. Institutional support from the madrasah played a significant role in reinforcing these improvements, although challenges such as limited time allocation and workload constraints persisted. These findings imply that sustained institutional support and flexible implementation strategies are essential to maximize the long-term impact of teacher professional education programs on instructional quality.

Abstract

Quality education is vital for advancing societal progress, and the management of educational facilities and infrastructure plays a key role in enhancing learning outcomes. This study investigates the management and optimization of facilities at SMK Ma’arif NU 02 Kemiri Purworejo, focusing on its impact on student learning quality. The research aims to examine the processes of planning, utilization, maintenance, and optimization of educational facilities in a vocational setting. A qualitative approach was used, with data collected through structured interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that while the school has made progress in managing its facilities, issues such as uneven facility utilization, limited funding, and reactive maintenance persist. The optimization efforts, including priority-based facility allocation and resource rotation, align well with educational needs. However, challenges in needs-based planning and equitable facility distribution require improvement. This research contributes to the academic literature by emphasizing the strategic role of facility management in vocational education, offering practical insights for improving learning environments. Future studies could explore broader institutional contexts and incorporate quantitative methods to strengthen the findings.
