Abstract

The conventional economic system has been developing for a long time, followed by the Islamic economic system which is currently developing rapidly in Indonesia. Sharia economic activities are based on the rules of the Koran regarding right and wrong, good and bad, and halal and haram rules. The background of sharia business ethics is the Prophet Muhammad SAW which is based on the Al-Quran and Hadith. The sharia economy can be seen with the emergence of Islamic banks, almost all major banks in Indonesia have sharia branches. Not only that, e-money and sharia payment gateways already exist. This is based on the large number of Indonesian people who adhere to Islam and the increasing awareness of Muslims in Indonesia in implementing the Islamic economic system. Since March 2, 2020, the Corona virus or Covid-19 pandemic has entered Indonesia. Many employees become unemployed. 50% of MSMEs could go bankrupt in the next few months. Whereas small businesses make a big contribution to the absorption of jobs in Indonesia which creates income for the population. The management of the Semarang City DMI organization took the initiative to ease the burden on the people, especially in the city of Semarang by making the DMI application based on the people's economy. Waterfall is the method used in this research. Waterfall is suitable for application development with a complete needs analysis. After the PSBB period ended, there were many unemployed who tried their luck by selling small businesses and MSMEs opened slowly. It is hoped that the DMI application can introduce the business of the community around the mosque and other people can buy the business easily through the application.

Abstract

Indonesia possesses the world's largest aquatic resources, with 17,504 islands and 6.49 million square kilometers of sea. Located in the coral triangle, Indonesia is home to diverse marine life, including vital coral reefs. However, these reefs face threats from climate change, pollution, and human activities, endangering biodiversity and coastal communities. Therefore, monitoring and preservation are crucial. This study evaluates various augmentation methods for classifying underwater coral reef images using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs). Effective augmentation methods are essential due to the unique characteristics of these images. The methodology includes testing different augmentation methods, epoch parameters, and CNN parameters on a coral reef image dataset. Five optimization algorithms (AIWPSO, GA, GWO, PSO, and FOX) are compared. The highest accuracy, 95.64%, is achieved at the 10th epoch. AIWPSO and GA show the highest average accuracies, 93.44%, and 93.50%, respectively, with no significant performance differences among the algorithms. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test indicates a significant difference between training and validation accuracy (p-value = 0.0020). These findings underscore the importance of selecting augmentation methods that align with the characteristics of each optimization algorithm to enhance classification performance. The results provide valuable insights into improving the quality and diversity of input data for classification algorithms in underwater image analysis. They highlight the necessity of matching augmentation methods to specific optimization algorithms to boost accuracy and effectiveness significantly. Future research should explore additional augmentation methods and optimization algorithms further to enhance the robustness and accuracy of underwater image classification.

Abstract

Scholarships are a form of educational aid to support students’ academic pursuits, especially for those with outstanding performance or financial constraints. However, the scholarship recipient selection process at MTS Nurul 'Ula is still conducted manually, which often results in inefficiency and a lack of objective assessment standards. This manual process leads to subjective evaluations, takes a considerable amount of time, and may result in inaccurate scholarship decisions. Therefore, this study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in the scholarship selection process. The SAW method was chosen because it allows for clear weighting of each selection criterion, such as academic grades, attitude scores, parental income, number of dependents, and extracurricular achievements. With this system, the selection process can be carried out more objectively based on structured mathematical weighting and calculations. The system is developed using the Delphi and MySQL database, following the Waterfall development model. The results of the study show that the implementation of the SAW-based DSS can accelerate the selection process, reduce subjectivity, and ensure that scholarships are awarded to students who meet the predetermined criteria. Thus, the system is expected to be a fairer, more accurate, and more efficient solution for supporting scholarship selection decisions at MTS Nurul 'Ula. Based on the results of the SAW calculations, an accuracy rate of 85% was achieved, indicating that the system provides accurate and reliable results in determining scholarship recipients.

Abstract

In the rapidly evolving digital era, the demand for mobile phones is increasing, with a wide range of specifications and price points available. PT. Topsell Raharja Indonesia, as one of the leading mobile phone retailers, faces challenges in providing fast and accurate recommendations that align with the needs of prospective buyers. The manual phone selection process currently used by sales staff often leads to errors in decision-making, resulting in service delays and customer dissatisfaction. Therefore, this study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to assist the store in recommending optimal mobile phones based on specific criteria. The AHP method is utilized to analyze and compare several key criteria—including price, RAM capacity, camera quality, battery life, performance, and design—in order to determine priority rankings for phone selection. The results demonstrate that the proposed system improves the efficiency of recommendations, reduces selection errors, and accelerates the customer service process. The implementation of the AHP method enables objective and accurate suggestions, achieving up to 98% accuracy. By systematically calculating the weight of each criterion, the system generates optimal alternatives tailored to the preferences and needs of prospective buyers

Abstract

The development of technology in education is integral to enhancing its quality, such as implementing information technology in school libraries. Searching for books in school libraries is time-consuming due to conventional book classification, lacking organization based on classifications. Therefore, implementing information technology in school libraries is crucial to improve library management effectiveness. An innovative solution optimizing library management involves leveraging artificial intelligence, particularly machine learning. In applying machine learning to library book classification, Support Vector Machine acts as an algorithm understanding patterns and characteristics of book titles, categorizing them into Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC). The dataset comprises 10 classes aligned with DDC. Random data collection follows an 80:20 scale for training and testing data. Data preprocessing is an initial research stage, addressing imbalanced data through oversampling. Testing the SVM algorithm with a linear kernel and C = 1 parameter is conducted three times using different feature extraction methods: TF-IDF alone, Word2Vec alone, and a combination of TF-IDF and Word2Vec. Model performance evaluation employs K-Fold Cross-Validation. After the three objective tests, the most accurate book classification results were obtained using a combination of TF-IDF and Word2Vec feature extraction. It's concluded that SVM's book classification method can be applied, yielding the highest accuracy of 73% with the TF-IDF and Word2Vec feature extraction combination. This outperforms other feature extraction methods, with precision at 83%, recall at 72%, and an F1-Score of 76%.

Abstract

Addressing the challenge of predicting earthquake-induced building damage, this study proposes the innovative use of Deep Neural Networks (DNN) as a solution. Focusing on optimizing predictive models, the research evaluates the effectiveness of various optimizers - ADAM, SGD, RMSprop, and Adagrad - coupled with adjustments in the learning rate to determine the most efficient configuration. The experiment was conducted to compare the performance of each optimizer in predicting post-earthquake building damage, a critical issue in disaster mitigation. The results demonstrate that ADAM significantly outperforms other optimizers, achieving the highest accuracy of up to 90.50% at a learning rate of 0.001, with RMSprop as its closest competitor. While SGD and Adagrad yielded lower accuracies, SGD showed improvement with higher learning rates. The variance analysis confirmed that the choice of optimizer significantly impacts model performance, with the p-value indicating strong statistical significance for optimizers (1.23E-09), whereas the learning rate had no significant impact (p-value 0.56098964). These findings underline the importance of selecting the appropriate optimizer to enhance the accuracy of DNN models for building damage prediction, a crucial aspect in emergency response planning and earthquake disaster mitigation efforts. This research contributes significantly to the development of more accurate predictive models, which are essential in minimizing the risks of earthquake disasters.
