Abstract

[ Video Project As an Alternative Assessment in Learning Basic Chemistry Courses ] Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respon mahasiswa dalam penggunaan tugas proyek video sebagai asesmen alternatif pada mata kuliah Kimia Dasar selama pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh dari calon guru (N = 80) yang diberikan tugas proyek video untuk menjelaskan materi dan soal-soal pada mata kuliah Kimia Dasar. Di akhir sesi, mahasiswa mengisi kuesioner untuk mengetahui tanggapan mahasiswa mengenai pembelajaran denga tugas proyek video. Wawancara juga dilakukan dalam penelitian ini. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memberikan respon positif pada tugas proyek video memberikan manfaat bagi mahasiswa yaitu mahasiswa dapat menerapkan pengetahuan, meningkatkan motivasi, dan kemandirian dalam belajar. Selain itu, tugas proyek video ini juga memberikan manfaat dalam kerja tim dan peningkatan keterampilan dalam menggunakan teknologi untuk belajar

Abstract

[Online Learning in Chemistry Education Study Programs: Student Readiness Surveys] Kesiapan mahasiswa merupakan salah satu faktor keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran daring. Studi ini mengeksplorasi kesiapan mahasiswa untuk pembelajaran daring di Prodi Pendidikan Kimia UIN Walisongo Semarang. Penelitian ini mengadopsi desain penelitian survei dengan instrumen Online Readiness Scale (OLRS) yang valid dan reliabel. OLRS memiliki lima aspek yaitu efikasi diri dalam penggunaan komputer, kemandirian dalam belajar, pengendalian diri, motivasi, dan efikasi diri dalam komunikasi secara online. 90 mahasiswa terlibat dalam survei kesiapan mahasiswa ini. Hasil pengisian angket dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Media pembelajaran online yang paling sering digunakan mahasiswa adalah E-Learning dan Whatapps Group. Mahasiswa memiliki tingkat kesiapan tertinggi dalam dimensi efikasi diri pada komputer dan internet, diikuti oleh kemandirian dan motivasi untuk belajar. Sedangkan yang terendah adalah efikasi diri pada komunikasi online dan pengendalian diri. Tantangan terbesar yang mereka hadapi saat belajar online adalah konektivitas internet diikuti dengan data broadband yang terbatas. Hal ini dapat dijadikan evaluasi dalam penyelenggaraan pembelajaran online di Pendidikan Kimia UIN Walisongo Semarang

Abstract

The CEP approach combines chemical knowledge with entrepreneurial concepts. In the manufacture of macromolecular products, a deep understanding of chemistry is essential. Entrepreneurship education is very important because it raises enthusiasm and motivates students to start a business when they graduate from school. The research objective is to design practical instruction for Chemo-Entrepreneurship (CEP) focusing on the subject of macromolecules. The type of research used for the development of practical instructions in this study is Research and Development. The development method is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The product developed was validated by six validators in the valid category according to Aiken's V table with a validity value of 0.846. The research subjects in the product trial developed in this study were students of class XII MIPA SMAN 1 Cepu. The assessment of student responses was in the very good category with a percentage of 94.3%. It can be concluded that the CEP-practical guide is feasible to use. The resulting product is expected to be used as a learning resource on the macromolecule topic.

Abstract

The digital era requires teachers and prospective teachers to innovate in the development of effective, efficient and not boring learning media. This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on virtual laboratories and 3-dimensional animation on chemical equilibrium material called Le Chatelier Virtual Laboratory. The research and development method used is 4D. The research study was used to determine the feasibility and student responses to virtual laboratory-based interactive learning media and 3D animation on chemical equilibrium. Product validation results were performed by experts using Aiken's V data analysis. The validity result reached a value of 0.91, a category with high validity. The small-scale trial produced a fairly good response with an overall quality percentage of 83.46%. This study concluded that learning media can be used in the learning process and further research can be carried out at the disseminate stage (large scale implementation).

Abstract

Ideally, students should have scientific literacy skills to understand and apply chemical concepts in real life. Students' scientific literacy is still low, especially in understanding abstract chemical equilibrium material. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning-Group Investigation (PBL-GI) model in improving students' scientific literacy in chemical equilibrium material. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample was selected using the cluster random sampling technique, and data were collected through test and non-test techniques. The results of the study showed that the PBL-GI model was effective in improving students' scientific literacy, as evidenced by the results of the hypothesis test (tcount = 4.824> ttable = 1.669), and the N-gain value of the experimental class (0.6487) was higher than that of the control class (0.5064). Thus, Ha is accepted, namely, the PBL-GI model effectively improves students' scientific literacy skills. The results of this study are expected to encourage teachers to design problem-based learning relevant to real life.

Abstract

This research focused on measuring students' critical thinking skills in the topic of chemical equilibrium. The instrument used is an essay test consisting of 8 questions. Data collection took place from March to April 2024. The sample size was 80 students. Data were analyzed using the Rasch Model with Winsteps 5.6.0. The instrument underwent testing for unidimensional, validity (item fit), reliability, item difficulty level (item measure), and individual ability level (person measure). The analysis showed that the instrument had a person reliability of 0.64 and item reliability of 0.96. The interaction between person and items is displayed on the Wright Map and Scalogram. The analysis of person and items provided significant information about the participants' abilities and the difficulty levels of the tested questions. A total of 4 respondents were identified as misfit according to the model. The identification of person misfit also plays a role in understanding patterns of responses that do not align with the model. The findings of this study can serve as a reflection for both students and lecturers regarding students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The 21st century is characterized by the use of technology, information and communication in various fields of life, one of which is education which is applied in the learning process. Based on observations at MA NU Miftahul Ulum Margasari, it is known that the available and frequently used learning media are in the form of textbooks, worksheets, videos, powerpoints, and audio. This causes the ongoing learning process to appear less attractive to students, thus making students feel bored and have less interest in learning chemistry which has an impact on a passive classroom atmosphere. The purpose of this research is to develop iSpring suite 9 interactive learning media based on android on redox material. The type of research used is development (Development Research) with the Plomp development model. The results showed that the percentage of eligibility based on 4 validators obtained an average value of 81.075% from the appearance aspect, 85% from the feasibility aspect, and 82.475% from the programming aspect. Based on the percentage obtained, it proves that the android-based iSpring Suite 9 learning media is very feasible to try out on students.
