Abstract

< 0,05). Dengan demikian, model PBL berbantuan wordwall terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

ISPA disease is a common illness among children and teenagers due to their still developing immune system. Cigarettes are one of the addictive substances that can cause health hazards for oneself and society if used. Therefore, various anti-smoking activities are needed for health. Smoking is an activity done by an individual by burning or inhaling a cigarette, which can cause the smoke to be inhaled by everyone around them. Smoking has harmful effects. This is not only harmful to the health of the smoker but also to the health of those nearby. The education on the dangers of smoking for elementary school children and teenagers is crucial to increase their awareness and ability to face various challenges they encounter. This activity aims to provide accurate and clear information about the dangers of smoking and increase the ability of children and teenagers to face various situations related to smoking. This educational activity is carried out using PowerPoint and leaflets about the dangers of smoking. The results of this educational activity show that the knowledge of children increased from 33% to 89%, while that of teenagers increased from 40% to 60%. A significant increase was observed in their knowledge and awareness about the negative impact on health.

Abstract

Ninth-grade Social Studies learning has not been fully effective due to the lack of varied instructional methods and the absence of adequate media to enhance students’ critical thinking skills at MTs in Semarang Regency. This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on the Canva and Heyzine applications to improve students’ critical thinking skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection methods included interviews, observation, and questionnaires. The data collection instruments comprised Likert-scale (1–5) questionnaires and multiple-choice tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the interactive media based on Canva and Heyzine applications were validated by experts, with 82.95% for media expert validation and 89.73% for content expert validation, while trials with students achieved an average score of 93.58%. Therefore, the problem-based interactive media on the topic of globalization is deemed suitable for use in learning at MTs in Semarang Regency. Furthermore, the use of this media has proven effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Oral communication is a core competency in 21st-century education; however, instructional materials in elementary schools tend to emphasize reading and writing rather than structured speaking practice. This gap highlights the need for innovative learning resources that explicitly foster students’ oral communication skills. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) module designed to enhance the oral communication skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants were 30 fourth-grade students, and the developed module was validated by three experts in material, media, and language. Data were collected through validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest–posttest performance assessments. The expert validation results indicated high feasibility, with scores of 95% (material), 94% (media), and 96% (language), yielding an overall average of 95%. Teacher and student responses demonstrated strong practicality (92% and 88%, respectively; average 90%). The effectiveness test revealed a significant improvement in students’ oral communication performance, with mean scores increasing from 67 (pretest) to 86 (posttest), resulting in an N-Gain of 0.65, categorized as moderately high effectiveness. These findings suggest that the developed PjBL module is feasible, practical, and effective in improving elementary students’ oral communication skills. The study contributes to the field of communication-oriented instructional design by demonstrating how structured project-based modules, supported by simple digital enhancements such as QR-linked instructional videos, can systematically integrate speaking practice into Indonesian language learning at the primary level.
