Abstract

Loneliness is a problem experienced by a person, which is unpleasant and absorbs in the form of sadness, helplessness, hopelessness and emptiness. This condition is where people feel left out of their group and are not cared about by the people around them. Family support is the most important part in helping elderly people solve all the problems they face. If there is a relationship from the family, self-confidence will increase and motivation to face problems that occur will increase. Family support is a factor that influences the well-being of the elderly. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and loneliness in the elderly. The research used is quantitative research with a research design using a cross sectional study. The sampling technique used was Purposive Sampling with a sample size of 64 samples. The data analysis carried out in this research was bivariate analysis. The relationship test was carried out using the Chi Square statistical test with a significance level of <0.05. The results of this study show that there is insufficient family support for 50 (78%) elderly people, while there is good family support for 14 (22%) elderly people. Loneliness in the elderly who are included in the unequal category is 12 (19%) elderly, while those who are included in the equal category are 52 (81%) elderly. There is a significant relationship between family support for loneliness in the elderly in the working area of ​​the Bontoimarannu Community Health Center, Gowa Regency and p value = 0.00 (p < 0.05. The conclusion of this research is that more than half of the elderly have less family support, most of the elderly experience equality in the Bontomarannu Community Health Center area, Gowa Regency. There is a relationship between family support and loneliness among the elderly in the region Bontomarannu Community Health Center, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

Adolescents will go through various changes in themselves both physically, emotionally and psychologically. Associated with the physical changes that occur, adolescents must be able to accept their physical condition and use their bodies effectively. Physical changes that occur in adolescents are related to body image. A teenager is said to have a positive body image if he is satisfied with his current physical condition. This study aims to determine the relationship between body image and self-esteem behavior in young women in Punranga Village. This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional study approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique as many as 66 people from a total population of 80 people and used an instrument in the form of a questionnaire to retrieve information. The analysis uses the Chi-Square test as a tool to test the relationship between variables with a significance level of = 0.05. The results obtained 23 respondents who have a negative body image, of which there are 3 respondents (13.0%) who have low self-esteem and 20 respondents (87.0%) who have high self-esteem behavior. As for the positive body image, there are 43 respondents, of which 17 respondents (39.5%) have low self-esteem behavior and 26 respondents (60.5%) have high self-esteem behavior. The results of statistical tests with Chi-Square obtained p = 0.026 (<0.05). The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between body image and self-esteem in young women in Punranga Village. For this reason, it is hoped that adolescents will always increase their self-confidence and respect themselves, both in appearance and physically.

Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. Chemotherapy is a way of management that can be done in breast cancer patients. Giving chemotherapy can cause physical side effects that have a psychological impact, namely anxiety. Support from family is the most important factor for a person in dealing with health problems and as a preventive strategy in reducing anxiety. This study aimed to determine the relationship between family support and anxiety facing chemotherapy in breast cancer patient at Pelamonia TK II Hospital. The research method used descriptive analytic correlation with a cross sectional study approach. The sample in this study amounted to 48 respondents using total sampling with data collection instruments using a questionnaire sheet. The statistical analysis in this study used an alternative test, namely the Chi Square Test. The results showed that there was a relationship between family support and anxiety facing chemotherapy in breast cancer patients (p value = 0.025), where the p value was less than α = 0.05, then Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. The conclusion of this study is there is a relationship between family support and anxiety facing chemotherapy in breast cancer patients, meaning that the better family support, the less anxiety. . Therefore, it is expected that nurses will provide positive input to the patient's family regarding the importance of providing support of patients to reduce anxiety facing chemotherapy in breast cancer patients.
