Abstract

Oral health is one of the impacts that affect children's development in brain development, one of the oral health is dental health, dental health awareness needs to be reviewed from the environmental, educational, and public awareness aspects with treatment and prevention. These aspects are interrelated and influence each other, prevention and dental care of the community, especially children. Dental caries can be prevented early if there is participation from the family and the surrounding environment of Sukaramai Dua Village, which is a village in Aceh Tamiang, has a population of 2,776 with 820 active school children and 540 children under 7 years old. Among them have problems with oral health, especially dental problems. Based on the problems faced by partners, the Community Service team offers solutions, namely (1) Conducting counseling to Sukaramai Dua Community partners on the importance of maintaining dental health, especially for preschool children (2) Providing training to preschool children in cleaning their teeth properly. The method of implementing activities includes three main stages, namely field surveys, stage two socialization, stage three training. It is hoped that there will be an increase in knowledge and awareness of oral health, especially dental health which affects brain development in preschool children in Sukaramai Dua Village, Aceh Tamiang.

Abstract

Ageratum conyzoides L. and Adenostemma lavenia are known to contain bioactive compounds with potential therapeutic properties. This study aimed to determine the phenolic and flavonoid contents, as well as the toxicity of leaf extracts from both species against Artemia salina larvae. The extraction process was carried out using methanol as a solvent. Phenolic content was measured using the Folin-Ciocalteu method, while flavonoid content was determined through a colorimetric method using aluminum chloride (AlCl₃) reagent. Toxicity testing was performed using the Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method. The results showed that the methanolic extract of Ageratum conyzoides L. contained 173 mg GAE/g extract of phenolics and 55.45 mg QE/g extract of flavonoids, which were higher than those found in Adenostemma lavenia, with 73.8 mg GAE/g extract of phenolics and 6.33 mg QE/g extract of flavonoids. Toxicity test results analyzed using probit analysis revealed LC₅₀ values of 43.17 μg/mL for Ageratum conyzoides L. extract and 208.07 μg/mL for Adenostemma lavenia extract, indicating that both are toxic. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that Ageratum conyzoides L. possesses greater potential as a source of bioactive compounds, as indicated by its higher toxic activity. Both plants are considered worthy of further investigation as potential anticancer agents.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to; 1). Evaluate the effectiveness of using social media in learning. 2). Analyze the negative impact of social media utilization. 3).Recommend concrete strategies in optimizing the use of social media in terms of public administration, namely policy, resource management and public services in the field of education. The method used in this research is to use qualitative and quantitative approaches or Mixed Methods. The results of this study are; 1). Students responded that social media is very helpful in the learning process with the number of strongly agree and agree reaching 90.62%. However, it is found that more students use social media for entertainment than for learning, and this affects the psychology, character and learning outcomes of students. 2).One strategy that can be used is a self-regulation learning strategy facilitated by the teacher including; goal setting and regulatory efforts to achieve goals, time management, and regulation of the physical and social environment. 3). Recommendations are; a). Schools should have a written policy on the use of cellphones and AI in schools. b). Schools need to empower teachers and teachers' agreement on self-regulation learning strategies. c).Teachers need to improve the quality of public services in the Education sector Key Words: Social Media, Student Learning Outcomes, Public Administration. Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian untuk; 1). Mengevaluasi efektivitas penggunaan media sosial dalam pembelajaran. 2). Menganalisis dampak negatif dari pemanfaatan media sosial. 3).Merekomendasi strategi yang konkret dalam mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan media sosial ditinjau dari administrasi publik yaitu kebijakan, pengelolaan smber daya dan layanan publik di bidang pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif atau Pendekatan Campuran (Mixed Methods). Hasil penelitian ini adalah; 1). Peserta didik memberi respon bahwa media sosial sangat membantu dalam proses pembelajaran dengan jumlah sangat setuju dan setuju mencapai 90,62 %. Namun kenyataan ditemukan bahwa lebih banyak siswa menggunakan media sosial untuk hiburan daripada untuk belajar, dan hal tersebut mepengaruhi psikologis, karakter dan hasil belajar siswa. 2). Salah satu strategi yang bisa digunakan adalah strategi belajar self regulation yang difasilitasi oleh guru meliputi; goal setting dan usaha-usaha pengaturan untuk mencapai tujuan, pengelolaan waktu, dan pengaturan lingkungan fisik dan sosial. 3). Rekomendasi yaitu; a).Sekolah harus memiliki kebijakan tertulis tentang penggunaan HP dan AI di sekolah. b).Sekolah perlu pemberdayaan guru dan kesepakatan para guru mengenai strategi belajar self regulation. c). Guru perlu meningkatkan kualitas layanan publik di sektor Pendidikan Kata Kunci: Media Sosial, Hasil Pembelajaran, Administrasi Publik.

Abstract

Abstract: One form of utilization of aquatic resources is mangrove forest vegetation. The potential of mangroves in Indonesia is very large because it has several types of mangroves that thrive. Pedada fruit (Sonneratia caseolaris) is one type of mangrove fruit that grows abundantly throughout the coastal areas of Langsa-Aceh. The business of processing mangroves into food products has not been widely developed and is of interest to coastal communities. One of the processed foods made from jam can be made from the heating process of a mixture of fruit pulp and sugar. Pedada fruit can be processed into a healthy jam by reducing sugar in the processing process which is replaced with stevia. The process of making jam from pedada fruit (Sonneratia caseolaris) with the addition of stevia sweetener begins with cleaning the material, namely pedada fruit. The next process is mixing the pulp of the pedada fruit and adding stevia sugar, then the heating, thickening and cooling process is carried out. The process ends with packaging. The production of healthy jam from pedada fruit can improve the economy of the community. Therefore, the PKM Team of Samudra University wanted to help the economy of Biruen residents by making education on processing pedada fruit into healthy jam. The hope is that the pedada fruit jam product can become a new business for the community and can increase the UMKM of the Bireum community. This is the background for the PKM Team of Samudra University to create education on making healthy jam with the addition of stevia. Keywords: community service, healty jam, pedada fruit, stevia

Abstract

Pantai Berawe merupakan salah satu pantai yang terletak di Pulau Kampai. Kondisi pantai yang masih lumayan baik dan tergolong belum rusak menjadikan sepanjang pantai pulau kampai memiliki sumber daya alam kekayaan spesies hewan Filum invertebrata yang sangat banyak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjadi informasi mengenai kualitas dan kelimpahan fauna Pantai Berawe ditinjau dari keberadaan komunitas invertebrata. Peneltian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan desember 2023 di kawasan Pantai Berawe Kabupaten Langkat. Pengambilan data hewan invertebrata dilakukan dengan metode jelajah. Sampel hewan invertebrata pada setiap stasiun kemudian dihitung indeks keanekaragaman dan indeks kemerataan. ditemukan 7 spesies hewan invertebrata yaitu Donax cuenatus, Anadara granosa, Coenobita perlatus, Clibanarius vittatus, Scylla serrata, Lingula unguis, dan Harpiosquilla raphidea. Keanekaragaman pada ketiga stasiun berada pada kategori sedang karena bisa dibuktikan dari nilai H' yang lebih dari 1 yaitu 1,3750916 dan indeks kemerataan di dapatkan pada kategori komunitas tidak stabil karena nilai E lebih kecil dari 0,75 yaitu 0,7066573.
