Abstract

Literasi numerasi adalah kecakapan hidup mendasar yang perlu diasah dan dibiasakan. Rendahnya kemampuan literasi dan numerasi mengakibatkan generasi yang tidak memiliki fondasi kuat dalam kemampuan mengkritisi informasi yang diterima serta menghambat pemikiran logis untuk mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang semakin komplek. Literasi numerasi tidak sama dengan kompetensi matematika, tetapi kecakapan mengaplikasikan konsep dan kaidah matematika dalam situasi real. Selama ini guru dan sekolah hanya fokus pada pembelajaran matematika di dalam kelas. Padahal, untuk mendekatkan matematika dalam kehidupan diperlukan ekosistem yang kaya numerasi. Matematika dapat ditemui dalam setiap sisi kehidupan siswa secara nyata. Lingkungan sekolah dapat secara optimal digunakan sebagai media tampilan informasi yang memunculkan literasi numerasi dalam berbagai konteks. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kecakapan literasi numerasi siswa. Pengabdian dilakukan dengan metode partisipasi aktif dari guru dan siswa melalui diskusi dan pemasangan media di lingkungan sekolah. Media numerasi yang dipasang di lingkungan sekolah terbukti menarik perhatian siswa dan meningkatkan keterlibatan mereka dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tiga media utama yang dihasilkan adalah Media Tangga Satuan Panjang, Media Pengukur Tinggi Badan, dan Media Dinding Numerasi. Tujuan dari media ini adalah untuk memperkuat pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep numerasi, terutama dalam hal satuan panjang dan perkalian, dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan fisik sekolah sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran yang interaktif dan kontekstual. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan fisik sekolah efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan memperkuat pemahaman mereka terhadap konsep numerasi. Penguatan literasi numerasi melalui media di lingkungan fisik sekolah diharapkan memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan program serupa di sekolah lain. Numeracy literacy is a basic life skill that needs to be honed and practiced. Low literacy and numeracy skills result in a generation that does not have a strong foundation in the ability to criticize the information received and inhibits logical thinking from developing increasingly complex problem-solving skills. Numeracy literacy is not the same as mathematical competence, but the ability to apply mathematical concepts and rules in real situations. So far, teachers and schools have only focused on learning mathematics in the classroom. To bring mathematics closer to life, an ecosystem rich in numeracy is needed. Mathematics can be found in every aspect of students' lives in real terms. The school environment can be optimally used as a medium for displaying information that brings up numeracy literacy in various contexts. This community service activity is expected to be able to improve students' numeracy literacy skills. Community service is carried out using the active participation method of teachers and students through discussions and the installation of media in the school environment. Numeracy media installed in the school environment has been proven to attract student's attention and increase their involvement in learning mathematics. The three main media produced are length unit ladder media, height measuring media, and numeracy wall media. The purpose of this medium is to strengthen students' understanding of numeracy, especially in terms of units of length and multiplication, by utilizing the school's physical environment as an interactive and contextual learning tool. This community service activity shows that the use of learning media based on the school's physical environment is effective in increasing student engagement and strengthening their understanding of the concept of numeracy. Strengthening numeracy literacy through media in the school's physical environment is expected to contribute to the development of similar programs in other schools.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the importance of the teacher's role in developing students' character as part of the national education goals, especially in Islamic schools. The main objective of this research is to explore the strategies applied by teachers in developing students‘ character and their impact on students’ moral and social development. The research used a qualitative method with a case study design, involving in-depth interviews, observation of classroom and extracurricular activities, and document analysis. Data were collected through direct interaction with teachers and students to understand how character is developed in that school context. The results show that teachers at MI Al-Khoeriyah Bogor adopt a holistic approach in implementing character education. Ethical, moral and spiritual values are integrated thoroughly in various school activities. The school successfully combines Islamic values with a character development programme that includes aspects of religion, honesty, social care, discipline, nationalism, mutual cooperation, independence, responsibility, tolerance and compassion. Character education is implemented through various approaches such as daily habituation, routine activities, and integration in formal learning. In addition, students are actively involved in activities that support character education. In conclusion, the character education approach at MI Al-Khoeriyah Bogor has been effective in creating a conducive learning environment for students' character development. Through the application of Islamic values and relevant activities, the school prepares students to become individuals with integrity, responsibility and care for society, in accordance with the objectives of national education.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertajuk "Penguatan Kompetensi Guru Berbasis Literasi STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)", dilaksanakan pada tanggal 18 Mei 2024. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 17 guru yang bertugas di SDIT Al-Munawwar. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menerapkan konsep literasi STEM di lingkungan sekolah, dengan harapan dapat memperkaya proses pembelajaran dan mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan di era teknologi dan informasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif para guru dalam setiap tahap pelatihan. Melalui metode ini, para guru diajak untuk berkolaborasi dalam memahami, menganalisis, dan merancang kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis STEM. Pelatihan ini terdiri dari beberapa sesi, termasuk pemaparan teori, diskusi, dan simulasi pengajaran. Dengan pendekatan PRA, guru-guru tidak hanya menerima pengetahuan secara pasif, tetapi juga aktif terlibat dalam proses belajar dan berbagi pengalaman praktis. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan kemampuan para guru dalam mengintegrasikan literasi STEM ke dalam kurikulum. Mayoritas peserta mampu mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran inovatif yang relevan dengan konteks pendidikan dasar. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di SDIT Al-Munawwar Bogor, khususnya dalam penerapan literasi STEM.

This study involved 57 students from the 4th-grade classes of Thariq Bin Ziyad and Khalid bin Walid at SDI Ibnu Miskawaih. A sample was selected using the Simple Random Sampling method, with class 4 Khalid as the control group and class 4 Thariq as the experimental group. Data were collected through observation, documentation, questionnaires (pre-test and post-test), and interviews. Data analysis techniques included descriptive and inferential statistics, which involved normality testing, homogeneity testing, and hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test. The results indicated that the average post-test score of the experimental group (76.21) was higher than that of the control group (72.76), with a significant difference in the t-test (p = 0.000). Using digital storytelling applications improved students' reading interest and learning motivation. This study contributes to the development of technology-based literacy learning at the primary education level, especially in MI.

Abstract

Pemilihan Media Audio Visual merupakan salah satu solusi yang tepat dan dapat membantu kegiatan belajar menjadi lebih menarik dan inovatif sehingga dalam proses pembelajarannya terutama mata pelajaran IPS dengan materi Interaksi Sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Model Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini memiliki 4 Komponen yang harus ada, yaitu: Rencana, Tindakan, Pengamatan, Refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil Presentase nilai Post Test pada siklus II sudah cukup memuaskan yaitu mencapai 92%% siswa yang berhasil mencapai KKM, dan hanya 8% siswa yang belum mencapai KKM. Dengan begitu target yang diharapkan peneliti sudah terpenuhi yaitu lebih dari 70% siswa yang mencapai KKM, sehingga peneliti memutuskan untuk menghentikan penelitian cukup sampai pada siklus II. Berdasarkan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang telah dilakukan pada siswa kelas V MIS Taman Pendidikan Islam yaitu penggunaan Media Audio Visual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS pada kompetensi Interaksi Manusia dan Lingkungan beserta pengaruhnya menghasilkan simpulan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang cukup signifikan dengan bantuan media audio visual.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the patterns of Indonesian phonology use in formal and informal communication among foreign students at Al Wildan Islamic International School, Tangerang. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that in formal communication, foreign students face difficulties in distinguishing between long and short vowels as well as the pronunciation of consonants, influenced by their mother tongue. In informal communication, they are more flexible and tend to adjust their accent and intonation based on their mother tongue habits, although phonological errors still occur. The international school environment and intensive social interactions play a significant role in shaping their phonological patterns. The implications of this study suggest that a deeper focus on phonology in teaching and the use of technology can help foreign students overcome pronunciation challenges in Indonesian.

Abstract

  Mathematics is an abstract concept and is built through deductive reasoning. These two factors make mathematics difficult for elementary school students to understand. Consequently, the process of learning mathematics presents a particular challenge for teachers. This Student Creativity Program (PKM) is a follow-up to previous research, which showed that students' understanding of the concept of area of a plane shape was as follows: 66% of students had a very poor understanding, 31% had a poor understanding, and 3% had a fairly good understanding. No students were able to fully understand the concept of area of a plane shape. This PKM aims to: 1) improve mathematics teachers' competence in understanding inductive learning models in mathematics, and 2) improve their ability to effectively use visual aids for the concept of area of a plane shape in inductive learning models. Both objectives are expected to impact the quality of students' understanding of basic mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The use of digital storytelling media is considered an effective way to increase students’ reading interest. This community service program was conducted from April 2 to June 2, 2025, to assist teachers at SDI Ibnu Miskawaih in utilising Storybird as a digital storytelling medium to create more engaging and creative literacy learning experiences. The program also aimed to enhance teachers’ digital literacy, as evidenced by the consistent integration of technology into the learning process. The method applied was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which consisted of five stages: planning, implementation, classroom application, evaluation and reflection, and reinforcement, as well as the dissemination of results. The activities began with identifying teachers’ initial knowledge, followed by technical training and hands-on practice in creating digital stories. The results indicate a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding and skills in using Storybird. Teachers were able to integrate this medium into lesson plans (RPP) and demonstrated high enthusiasm during the training sessions. Challenges such as limited devices and low digital literacy were successfully addressed through interactive and collaborative approaches. Storybird has been proven to foster students’ creativity, increase their reading interest, and strengthen collaboration between teachers, students, and parents.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi kreativitas guru dalam merancang pembelajaran interaktif di alam terbuka di SDIT Al Ahyar. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam. Subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas yang telah melaksanakan pembelajaran di luar kelas. Analisis tematik digunakan untuk mengungkap bentuk kreativitas guru, alasan pemilihan metode, serta tantangan yang dihadapi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menampilkan kreativitas dalam perencanaan pembelajaran, pemanfaatan media dari alam maupun media buatan sendiri (seperti worksheet dan kertas ilustrasi), pemilihan tema yang relevan dengan lingkungan, serta penyusunan kegiatan yang mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa. Kreativitas ini muncul sebagai respon terhadap kebutuhan siswa akan pembelajaran yang kontekstual, menyenangkan, dan bermakna. Kesimpulannya, kreativitas guru menjadi faktor penting dalam menciptakan pembelajaran interaktif di luar ruangan yang tidak hanya memberikan pengalaman belajar menyenangkan, tetapi juga menumbuhkan rasa ingin tahu, keterlibatan aktif, dan pemahaman siswa melalui pendekatan berbasis lingkungan.
