Abstract

This study aims to analyze the vocabulary used in online shop  activities on Instagram social media  and examine its contribution to Indonesian language learning. Through a qualitative-descriptive approach, data is collected from uploads and product descriptions on several  popular online shop accounts  . The results of the analysis show that the vocabulary used reflects a mixture of non-standard Indonesian, foreign absorption (especially English), abbreviations, and popular terms (slang) that are developing in online communities.  The collection of data is sourced from 5 (five) Online Shops, namely @omorfoo_shop, @bunoshopp28, @sental.kaos, @akavi.id, and @citracosmetic_id. The contribution to Indonesian learning lies in the potential use of authentic context from social media as teaching materials, especially in learning language diversity, vocabulary development, and language attitudes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the validity of the use of language in the Investigation Report (BAP) of the Suspect in the Gowa Police Criminal Investigation Unit through a forensic linguistic study. The focus of the research is directed at four linguistic aspects, namely diction, syntax, coherence, and ambiguity, which have the potential to affect the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of information in BAP documents. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving five Suspect BAP documents as primary data analyzed through qualitative content analysis techniques using the interactive model Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The results of the study show that the use of diction in some BAPs does not fully reflect the suspect's literal statements, but is a narrative construction of the investigator that has the potential to cause meaning bias. In the syntax aspect, it was found that the sentence structure was long, ineffective, and layered so that it gave rise to the blurring of the subject of action and the flow of information. The aspect of coherence also shows irregularities in the organization of the chronology which results in the flow of events becoming illogical and making it difficult to understand the sequence of events. Meanwhile, referential and semantic ambiguity is found in a number of parts of the BAP, especially related to the use of unclear pronouns that open up the possibility of double interpretation. These findings indicate that the linguistic aspect plays a crucial role in the validity of BAP as a legal document. Linguistic inaccuracy has the potential to affect the interpretation of law enforcement officials and have an impact on the fulfillment of suspects' rights. This study emphasizes the need to improve language competence for investigators and the application of forensic linguistic principles in the preparation of investigation documents.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the language attitudes of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa and its influence on the use of Indonesian language in learning, especially listening and reading skills. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data was obtained from Indonesian teachers, homeroom teachers, and students as the main informants. The results of the study show that students' language attitudes vary, ranging from very positive to less appreciative of the use of Indonesian. Students with a positive attitude are more active in using Indonesian in learning and have better listening and reading skills. On the other hand, students with negative attitudes tend to be passive, less confident, and more dominant in using regional languages in daily communication. Environmental factors, material relevance, teaching methods, and learning experiences greatly influence the formation of students' language attitudes. This study confirms that language attitudes are an important factor in the success of Indonesian language learning. These findings are expected to be the basis for teachers and schools to design learning strategies that are more communicative, contextual, and able to foster students' positive attitudes towards the Indonesian language
