Abstract

Rendahnya tingkat literasi digital menjadi tantangan di era perkembangan teknologi, perlunya peningkatan kemampuan literasi digital bagi mahasiswa, salah satunya e-resources dapat menjadi penunjang bagi mahasiswa dalam penulisan tugas akhir maupun karya ilmiah. Pada realitasnya banyak mahasiswa yang masih menggunakan cara konvensional dalam mencari dan menemukan referensi dalam menulis, yang tentunya sudah tidak efektif lagi digunakan pada masa sekarang. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian dengan workshop, tutorial dan simulasi untuk mengetahui peningkatan menggunakan metode deskriptif kuanititatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini 100 mahasiswa semseter 5 UIN SATU Tulungagung. Hasil evaluasi pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan pemanfaatan e-resources dan manajemen reference bahwa mahasiswa telah memiliki pemahaman terkait literasi digital, namun perlu ditingkatkan dalam praktinya. Setelah dilaksanakan pelatihan, terjadi peningkatan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan manajemen reference dan e-resources sebanyak 60,2% dari sebelumnya  hanya sebanyak 47% mahasiswa. Kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi mahasiswa terutama mahasiswa pada tingkat akhir dalam membantu menulis tugas akhir. Saran  kegiatan lanjutan berupa pelatihan kepenulisan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyse students' perceptions of active learning methods in English language learning. Active learning methods, which emphasize students' active participation, are expected to improve motivation and learning outcomes in English language acquisition. The study was conducted by using a qualitative approach through surveys to 30 students if second semester in System of Technology and Information study program at Institut Teknologi Sawit Indonesia ((ITSI) North Sumatera, Indonesia. The results showed that most students had a positive view of the method, feeling improved communication skills and understanding of the material. However, some challenges such as difficulties in collaboration and adaptation to the new method were also identified. The findings provide insights for curriculum developers and teachers to optimize the application of active learning methods, to increase the effectiveness of English language learning in higher education

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of pre-marital education in building marriage readiness and forming a sakinah family at the “KLIK” marriage clinic, Medan City Branch and find out how to minimize divorce cases, as well as the factors that motivate people to participate in the Marriage Clinic program. The method used is descriptive qualitative, by conducting research at the Medan City Branch Marriage Clinic. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by collecting data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. This study concluded that the Marriage Clinic in minimizing divorce cases is providing and adding knowledge to the community so that they are able to form a sakinah family. Have qualified and quality materials and have presenters who are experienced in their respective fields. Of course it makes it easier for the Marriage Clinic to help the community. According to the informants, the materials provided by the Marriage Clinic were able to become their basis in forming a sakinah family because the materials provided were so complete and easy to understand for the participants. Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan siswa SD, SMP, dan SMA di Kecamatan Datuk Tanah Datar Desa Petatal Kabupaten Batu Bara tentang pentingnya pendidikan karakter, kesehatan mental, dan bahaya penyalahgunaan narkoba dan judi online. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi dan edukasi multi level yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan usia siswa.Metode Peneitian ini Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan edukasi multi level bagi siswa SD, SMP, dan SMA di Kecamatan Datuk Tanah Datar Desa Petatal Kabupaten Batu Bara. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam beberapa tahap, yaitu: Pengumpulan Data: Pengumpulan data tentang kebutuhan dan permasalahan siswa SD, SMP, dan SMA di Kecamatan Datuk Tanah Datar Desa Petatal Kabupaten Batu Bara, Penyusunan Materi: Penyusunan materi sosialisasi dan edukasi yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan usia siswa, Pelaksanaan Kegiatan: Pelaksanaan kegiatan sosialisasi dan edukasi multi tingkat bagi siswa SD, SMP, dan SMA, Evaluasi: Evaluasi kegiatan untuk mengetahui efektivitas program dan mengidentifikasi area perbaikan. Hasil dari program ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan siswa tentang pentingnya pendidikan karakter dan kesehatan mental, serta mengurangi risiko penyalahgunaan narkoba dan judi online.

Abstract

Trigycerides are the main lipid component in food intake, which is about 98% of total lipids and the remaining 2% consists of phospholipids and cholesterol. Triglycerides are present in adipose tissue, skeletal muscle, liver, lungs, and intestines to  provide energy in metabolic processes. Who estimates about 1 bilion individuals are overweight and about 300 milion individuals are defined as obese, normal triglyceride levels usually do not exceed 150 mg/dl, if triglyceride levels increase by more than 200 mg/dl then called hypertriglyceridemia. The research aims to determine the difference in triglceride levels using serum and plasma EDTA conducted at the Center For Health Laboratories (BBLK) Palembang. The type of research used is cross Sectional with research designintact group comparison. The sample consisted of 30 serums and 30 plasma EDTA taken from 30 respondents. Research is carried out starting from the preparation of patients, taking examination materials, processing of examination materials, analysis and results of research. The average levels of triglyceride examination using serum and plasma were obtained consecutively at 0.91 mmol/L and 0.83 mmol/L. Mann Whitney test results found that the significant value was p = 0.240. The p value obtained is p>0.05. The results can be concluded that there is no difference in examination of triglyceride levels using serum and plasma EDTA.

Abstract

The limited research on the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has become a significant concern, as it contributes to low student creativity and a lack of practical understanding of religious values in daily life. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the PjBL model through a cooking project and its impact on enhancing students’ learning creativity in PAI. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving five participants (one teacher and four students) selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that implementing PjBL through a cooking project effectively enhances student creativity across four key indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. These results align with constructivist theory and PjBL pedagogical principles, demonstrating that cooking projects can serve as an innovative method for linking theory with practice in PAI learning. The study's implications include a theoretical contribution to the literature on PjBL effectiveness in the PAI context and practical recommendations for PAI teachers to develop contextual, project-based instructional methods. Additionally, this research opens pathways for further studies on project duration and group arrangement strategies to optimize student creativity.

Abstract

The fixation process is the first stage in the manufacture of histopathological preparations which aims to preserve the tissue and harden the tissue, so that the tissue to be observed does not change in shape or size. BNF fixation solution (Neutral Buffer Formalin) 10% has been used as a routine fixative and It has been be the gold standard in histology laboratories for decades. The material used in this study was a 10% BNF solution because it is easier to use and it can be used to preserve tissue for a long period of time. This study aims to determine the differences in the microscopic results of the liver tissue of mice (Mus musculus) fixed with 10% BNF for 6 hours and 16 hours. This type of research is descriptive analytic. The research was carried out at the Barokah Laboratory/ dr.Mezfi Unita on 04-05 March 2022 with a total sample of 20 samples of mice liver tissue (Mus musculus). The results of the study on 10% BNF fixation for 6 hours and 16 hours showed that the average results were not good. The conclusion from the results of the study that there was no difference in the microscopic results of liver tissue that were fixed with 10% BNF for 6 hours and 16 hours using Hematorylin-Eosin staining. 10% BNF fixation with a time of 6 hours and 16 hours can be used as an alternative in histopathological examination in the short term and long term.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh giro terhadap laba pada PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk selama periode tertentu. Giro, sebagai salah satu sumber pendanaan murah, memainkan peran penting dalam mendukung profitabilitas bank melalui optimalisasi dana pihak ketiga (DPK). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis data sekunder dari laporan keuangan Bank Mandiri tahun 2021–2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara peningkatan saldo giro dengan pertumbuhan laba bersih bank. Peningkatan saldo giro memungkinkan bank untuk menyalurkan kredit dan investasi dengan biaya rendah, sehingga meningkatkan margin keuntungan. Meskipun giro memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap laba, faktor lain seperti suku bunga, kondisi ekonomi makro, dan kebijakan moneter juga memengaruhi kinerja keuangan bank. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan strategis bagi manajemen bank dalam mengelola produk giro secara optimal untuk meningkatkan profitabilitas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ethics of using the social media platform TikTok from an Islamic perspective. As a popular social media platform, TikTok has significantly changed the way individuals interact and share content. However, the use of TikTok also raises various ethical issues that need to be addressed, especially in the context of Islamic values. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method to collect and analyze relevant literature. Data is collected from various sources, including books, journal articles, and official documents discussing ethics in social media usage and Islamic teachings. Content analysis techniques are used to identify the main themes that emerge from the literature and relate them to the context of TikTok usage. The results show that the ethics of using TikTok in Islamic teachings include principles such as maintaining the honor of oneself and others, avoiding indecent or harmful content, and promoting goodness and positive values. TikTok can be an effective tool for dawah and spreading Islamic values if used wisely and responsibly. This study provides in-depth insights into how Islamic teachings can be integrated into the use of TikTok, and its implications for character and moral development in the digital society. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for TikTok users, policymakers, and academics in understanding and applying ethical social media usage in accordance with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Purpose: This research examines the role of the Legal Aid Institute of Lancang Kuning University in providing legal protection and ensuring equal treatment under the law, particularly for underprivileged individuals. It highlights the importance of legal aid in promoting justice.Method: A qualitative approach was used, gathering data through interviews, document analysis, and observations of the institute’s activities. Content analysis was applied to assess the effectiveness of its legal services.Practical Applications: The research demonstrates the importance of professional legal aid for underprivileged communities, showing how the institute's work in criminal and civil cases improves access to justice.Conclusion: The Legal Aid Institute plays a vital role in promoting equal justice, particularly for marginalized groups, through legal representation and advocacy in Riau, contributing to law enforcement and human rights protection.
