Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the feasibility of establishing a branch of the Texas Barbershop in Batam city. To find out the feasibility of the Texas Barbershop business in terms of several aspects, namely market aspects, technical aspects, management aspects and financial aspects. Based on an assessment of market aspects, the opening of a Texas Barbershop branch is deemed worthy of being seen from the increase in the number of people who become its market share each year. Analysis of the technical aspects shows that the location and layout of the business premises can save additional costs. So, this business assessment in terms of technical aspects is declared feasible to run. Analysis of the management aspect shows that the owner of the Texas barbershop is willing to meet the criteria needed in the organization, both in recruiting employees, retaining employees and paying employee wage obligations according to their position and level in the process of running a business. From a financial perspective, the difference between income and expenditure results in a positive net cash calculation. In financial calculations, the results obtained Net present value (NPV) of IDR 24,791,334.9 Rupiah, payback period (PP) for 1.39 years, profitability index (PI) of 2.42 times and average rate of return (ARR) by 80.4%.

Abstract

PT.CT is a company that produces pipes for oil and gas (OCTG). Production machines used non-stop, from these conditions found equipment problems that were damaged such as machine sensors that did not respond to the program, clogged vacuum coolers, servo alarms sounded during the Threading Coupling process. The effects of some these defects have impact on the number of products that are not according with the planned time. The purpose of this study was to determine effectiveness of the machine using an approach to increase effectiveness using Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), while Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a method used to measure the application of TPM and maintain equipment. In ideal conditions by eliminating 6 Big Loss then analyze the factors that affect the OEE value using the Fishbone Diagram (Ishikawa Diagram). The results showed that lowest OEE value obtained for the Mori Seiki CNC machine (SL25 B) was in November 2020 of 55.04% and the highest OEE value was obtained in August 2021 of 80.08% and this value had not yet reached the standard of 85 %. The proposed corrective action is to prioritize 2 out of 6 Major Losses such as rework loss and breakdown losses.

Abstract

Supplier selection is one of the most important decision making problems. In the manufacturing industri, one of the company’s important activities to maintain the continuity of the production process is activity of purchasing raw materials by suppliers. This research was conducted in Submaterial Department of PT XYZ. The company focuses on the manufacture of plastic garbage bags and food storage bags. The method used in this study is the AHP and TOPSIS method. The result showed that there are 5 criteria with 13 subcriteria. Quality (0.3497) criterion is the most important criterion in supplier selection, the sub-criteria that has the most important is the suitability of price with the quality of the product produced (0.2150) and PT IIB has a weight of the largest is (0.2017). Based on the preference value, PT IIB has the largest preference value, which is (0.9187). This shows that PT IIB is in the most important order so that it becomes the best prioritized supplier in fulfilling the supply of carton boxes to PT XYZ.

Abstract

This research is the first research conducted in the city of Batam, from the results of calculations analyzed using the method of AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) and SAW obtained the value of the criteria weight and sub criteria on the selection of water meter suppliers diii PT. MY. There are 4 criteria that affect the selection of suppliers for the company. The result obtained from weighting criteria and sub krteria using AHP method, namely The First Criterion is quality with a weight as large as 0.515. Then followed by the price cretiria with a weight value of 0.273. Furthermore on the shipping criteria with a total weight of 0.115. The last criterion is a View that weighs 0.061. Based on the results of calculations using the SAW method, it can be weighted results from all criteria and sub-criteria with weight values, in the first rank of Hitek suppliers and 0.957 values, both Pacific suppliers with a value of 0.928, ranked third Indopam suppliers with the last 0.850 artha suppliers with a value of 0.842.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an Android-based home security device that uses a Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach. In developing an Android-based home security system that can reduce theft in Kavling Nato Permata, this tool consists of an electromagnetic door lock called a magnetic lock that controls the opening and closing of the front door, which is controlled by an Android phone through the Ewelink Application which displays realtime results captured by the camera for indicates the situation when someone enters. This security system has been tested on the operating principle that if someone forces open or destroys the door of the house when it is closed, the system will activate a warning or an alarm bell will sound because the proximity sensor is connected to the connected switch for the resulting magnetic closure. However, if the lock is opened by the security system, the LDR sensor will turn off and the alarm will not. Through this security system, it is hoped that this security system can be a solution to increase the level of security at home and reduce and prevent theft.

Abstract

Manual transfer of materials using unsupportive tools causes difficulties and complaints that result in bodily injuries, such as shifting of the base of the spine, irreversible changes in body shape, and other injuries. Shimano Batam owns a Subcon company called PT. Citra Jaya Hope. Workers in the shop section perform manual material handling tasks. Considering the problem setting, research is needed using Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and QFD techniques. The results of the trolley design obtained by QFD in this study were validated through recalculation using the REBA method. The total score achieved is 4, indicating a moderate risk level which is almost the same as a low risk level.

Water is a basic necessity for every living thing on this earth. wells are containers used to hold water and are used for daily life. at this time the extraction of well water has used a vacuum, known as the wellbore. the water used for human needs must be guaranteed its quality which is generally seen from the physical, chemical and biological. the quality of drinking water must be in accordance with government standards, basically proper consumption water is colorless, not turbid and clear. the use of bore well water as raw material for distilled into drinking water, the quality of bore well water still does not meet the established standards, therefore researchers will improve the quality of bore well water with a DMAIC approach. DMAIC is define, measure, analyze, improve and control. DMAIC methods will help to improve the quality of wellbore water according to government standards. Abstract

The design of Nox rust oil work tools aims to reduce lubrication time, minimize work time, increase production and reduce operator fatigue. In this study, we will use the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method to design the tool by creating a House of Quality (HOQ). In the survey method, the investigator asked three questions about the problem that occurred and asked 11 questions (customer needs) to observe. This study uses the motion time measurement (MTM) method as a time measurement for the original and final design. As a result, (1) the design of the tapping tool is designed to improve productivity (2) the result of the tapping tool is designed to reduce fatigue (3) work time It is the result of the design of a tapping tool that is kept to a minimum.

Abstract

This study is to determine OEE in print shops company where company could not get good OEE value in 6 month period, peak OEE value from Jan to Jun 2020 is still low 85% more than the world leading standard. The lowest OEE percentage was in May at 19.92%, while the highest OEE value was in February at 91.19%. The OEE value indicates that the effective level of the printer's process performance is still low. The opposite is true for the substandard operating performance value, namely 68.07%. However, in February the efficiency value reached 87.05%, six major losses being a common factor that can lead to underperformance of the engine. In general, the six factors are breakdown loss, loss of setup and adjustment, small loss and stop loss, speed loss reduction, recovery loss and scrap loss. Equipment failure loss .99%, configuration and adjustment value loss 1%, small stop and stop loss 37.18%, speed loss reduction 3.28%, fault loss 0 ,60%, productivity is reduced by 0% because defective products are not di carded but will be reworked. As a result, data analysis and processing can use Pareto charts to help identify the cause of the biggest losses. According to the Pareto chart made, the six largest loss values ​​are idling and small stopping of 37.18% and reduction of speed loss, with a start-up result of 3.28%. Thus, the company can pay attention to the needs of the machine to be able to meet the needs of large-scale production.
