Abstract

The Production Department at PT PIPA MAS PUTIH has production process constraints, especially in the Wire Mesh assembly process. Based on this, the researcher intends to conduct research on the design of this Wire Mesh product using the Design for Manufacture and Assemby (DFMA) method. This study aims to make a design and compare between the initial design and alternative designs based on the results of the evaluation of the initial design using DFMA and based on comparison parameters so that they can determine the best design choice. Based on the DFMA analysis of the initial design, it was found that the components of the Wrapping machine consisted of 25 components with a weight of 556.3 kg and a total cost of Rp. 61,465,000. The alternative designs designed were analyzed using DFMA and the results obtained were 102 components of the Wrapping machine with a weight of 84,475 kg, a total machining time of 8.91 hours and a total cost of Rp. 29,047,000. From the initial design and the alternative design of the Wrapping machine that was designed, after being compared based on the parameters of the number of components, total weight, total cost, machine efficiency function. the results of processing selected the best alternative design.

Abstract

XYZ is a daily necessities retailer located in the Riau Islands. It is a company engaged in a retail business network engaged in the fulfilment of daily basic needs. This researcher took data as many as 72 respondents who are XYZ customers, then calculated IPA and CSI. Based on the results of the IPA, the highest value, which is Regarding XYZ, has an extra benefit poster to facilitate transactions with a TKI level of 103,986 and the smallest is Regarding staff who explain product functions and benefits to customers with 72.472% TKI. There are 7 statements in the IPA I quadrant, 5 statements in quadrant II and 3 statements in quadrant II and 4 statements in the IPA IV quadrant. Based on the results of the CSI, customer satisfaction is 74.942%, this number shows that consumers are satisfied with the services provided. Some of the services that are prioritized for improvement in quadrant 1 are Cleanliness and customer convenience in shopping at XYZ. Cleanliness of the gondola and product tidiness at XYZ, How XYZ employees serve customers according to customer expectations, Staff who explain product functions and benefits to customers, Regarding service to customers with uncomplicated, XYZ staff service quickly Spg is responsive in serving customers, and XYZ staff has the ability and knowledge so that they can find out customer needs and actions that must be given to customers

Abstract

Tofu Sari Rasa factory, which is located in Tanjung Piayu, Batam, produces high-quality food. The main product is tofu sumedang. The purpose of this research is to identify consumer needs and desires, as well as to determine the Voice of the Customer by distributing questionnaires to consumers using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. The respondents of the study are Tofu Sari Rasa Factory customers. According to the findings, the characteristics of respondents based on age were at most 26-40 years (62.5 %), women (77.5 %), high school/diploma (67.5 %), housewives (27.5 %), information on consuming the most (85 %), information on buying the most (80 %), information from consumers who have bought and consumed the most (65 %), the frequency of purchases at most >2 times (65 %), and the problem barriers that affect interest in buying the most in less attractive packaging (67.5 %). The packaging of the product with a high priority has halal information on it, with a score of 5, whereas the packaging of the product with a low priority has sufficient thickness and expired information, with a score of 2. According to the results, the highest technical importance rating prioritizes all information. packaging received a score of 494, followed by 247 absolute importance and 22 % relative importance. Giving the production address receives the lowest technical importance rating of 72, with absolute importance of 36. Based on the findings, the conclusions in this research are several packaging design criteria, such as attractive packaging colors, durability, product size, sufficient thickness, comfortable to grip, easy to carry packaging, manufacturer's address on the packaging, weight the product is clean, there is halal information, the product description is easy to read, and the logo on the packaging is made attractive.

Abstract

The job of people as still affects each modern movement. People as laborers actually have restricted capacities so they are not the same as machines that can be supplanted and fixed. Manual work exercises and work that is done over and over have a high gamble of MSDs grievances brought about by manual work devices. Tofu printing exercises at the Tahu Awi Saguba UKM during the tofu printing process can possibly cause MSDs risk since it is completed physically, over and over with an unselfish stance and straightforward work devices. Abstract

PT ABC is a manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture of lighting products and detection devices. This research was conducted in the maintenance department to support the lamp testing production process which focuses on the availability of critical maintenance spare parts. In this study only focuses on two types of spare parts, namely IC (integrated circuit) and IGBT (insulated gate bipolar transistor). Because they often run out of stock before the ordered orders arrive, because there is no set minimum stock order, and procurement costs tend to be high. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of safety stock, to determine the reorder point and to determine inventory control can achieve efficiency and can minimize inventory costs by applying the EOQ method. After applying the EOQ method, the number of safety stock on IC spare parts is 51 pieces, reorder points are 102 pieces and the procurement cost is Rp.527.345 compared to the company's method is Rp.3.351.828 by using the EOQ method it can save costs of Rp.2.824 483. Safety stock on IGBT spare parts is 3 pieces, reorder point 6 pieces. And procurement costs are Rp.1.097.571 compared to the company's method of Rp.5.942.656 by using the EOQ method to save costs of Rp.4.845.085.

Abstract

Udang pempek merupakan makanan khas Palembang. Pempek biasanya disajikan dengan saus cuka. Persaingan dalam bisnis pempek udang semakin merajalela karena semakin banyak kompetitor yang mengikuti bidang kuliner ini. UMKM Yuksum merupakan UMKM yang bergerak di bidang pempek udang, untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan eksistensi perusahaan, namun perusahaan belum mendapatkan hasil yang memuaskan dari pelanggan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan keluhan pelanggan yang tidak menyukai kemasan Pempek Udang Yuksum. Oleh karena itu, Yuksum membutuhkan evaluasi dan perbaikan desain kemasan produk sesuai dengan keinginan dan kebutuhan pelanggan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang kemasan baru dengan menggunakan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Pemilihan metode QFD didasarkan pada keterlibatan pelanggan dalam meningkatkan desain kemasan cuko yang dapat menjamin kepuasan pelanggan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mewawancarai pelanggan, mengidentifikasi Voices of Customer (VOC), menyebarluaskan kuesioner, menentukan karakteristik teknis, membuat matriks House of Quality (HOQ), mengembangkan konsep desain, memasang spesifikasi kemasan, membuat matriks Part Deployment, dan membuat visualisasi desain. Desain kemasan yang lebih baik terbuat dari plastik PET/SPE food grade dan kemasan cuko yang dapat digunakan kembali, melengkapi label kemasan dengan informasi penting tentang cuko (Logo, Merek, Komposisi, Metode Penyajian, Tanggal Kedaluwarsa, Logo Halal, Nomor Layanan Pelanggan dan Penggunaan 3 warna pastel sehingga pelanggan dapat dengan mudah melihatnya.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The workers at PT Pegatron experience the constraints in turning on and turning off the fan machine, which often disrupts their work because turning on and turning off the fan machine requires division facilities to turn it on, so a lot of time is wasted and the workforce is inefficient. Based on this, the researcher intends to conduct research on the design of the on/off button for this fan engine using Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA). This study aims to make a design and compare between the initial design and design alternative designs based on the evaluation results on the initial design using DFMA and the basis for making parameters so that the best design choice can be determined. Based on the initial design DFMA analysis, it was found that the material for the fan engine is a total of 58 components, an estimated cost of IDR 15,420,500. the time needed to turn on the fan engine is between 7 minutes – 8 minutes. The costs incurred for electricity from the initial design amounted to 152 million – 160 million. From the results of the evaluation of the initial fan engine design, an alternative fan engine design was obtained. Alternative designs that were designed entirely were analyzed using DFMA and the results obtained for the components making up the fan machine totaled 87 components with a total assembly time of 18 hours and a total cost of Rp. 16,285,000 and a new design electricity cost of 120 million and the time to turn on the fan engine is 2 sec.

Abstract

This study discusses the problem of processing spare parts data that is not in accordance with the actual conditions that occur in the production environment of PT JMS Batam. The spare parts recording system is still carried out with a manual recording method that requires each employee to write by hand. Various spare parts name writing techniques cause a non-standard bookkeeping system and confuse admins in recapitulation of bookkeeping. The incompatibility of the recapitulation results with the actual total number of existing spare parts creates a domino effect causing the process of replacing spare parts in various activities of the technical-4 department to be not optimal. By using a database-integrated application, each spare part that will be used first is registered by scanning the barcode owned by each spare part. From the results of the trial by changing the manual recording method to the computerized recording method, it was concluded that the computerized recording system has better performance because it is able to identify deviations of 29% compared to the manual recording system.

Abstract

The water hyacinth plant is a type of aquatic plant flora that is considered a weed or pest because of the damage it does to water systems and the water supply. To a large extent, reservoirs with an influx of garbage are to blame for the rapid expansion of water hyacinth. Water hyacinth has a rapid growth rate at Batam City's Duriangkang reservoir. The hyacinth population will double in size in a couple of days. Ultimately, this study aims to inform the creation of a cutting-edge bag style made from water hyacinth. Research suggests that asking a representative sample of young people what kinds of bag products they would be interested in buying would be the best method to inform the design of a bag product catering to the needs of this demographic. Based on the survey data collected, a plan of action is developed for manufacturing bag products that both meet consumer demand and stay within budget. This plan calls for the use of low-cost raw materials without sacrificing quality, such as water hyacinth, which can be obtained in large quantities

Abstract

This thesis discusses profit optimization in the cake production activities at Rumah Kue Poya located in Tiban, Batam City. The research aims to determine the optimal number of cake combinations that should be produced by Rumah Kue Poya to maximize profits. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained through documentation from Rumah Kue Poya. Subsequently, the research data is analyzed using linear programming with the simplex method using the POM-QM for Windows V.3 application, which is used to find the optimal solution. The results of this study indicate that to achieve optimal profits, Rumah Kue Poya should produce 5,500 pieces of risoles, 5,200 pieces of brownies, 2,500 pieces of cream puffs, and 2,500 pieces of donuts, with an optimal monthly profit of IDR 11,580,000 over a one-month period, representing a 1% increase in profit amounting to IDR 105,000 from the actual condition.
