Abstract

Futsal as a sport also requires proper training to achieve success. Therefore, prime physical condition is needed so that players are able to display their best performance. In addition, Body Mass Index (BMI) is also an important aspect that needs to be considered. This study aims to determine the Body Mass Index and physical condition of male Futsal players at SMAN 1 Torjun. The data collected are height, weight, age to determine the level of nutritional status, while data regarding physical condition includes data on speed of movement (speed), flexibility (flexibility), leg muscle strength, muscular endurance (muscular endurance), leg muscle explosive power (power) and endurance (aerobic). The subjects of this study were male futsal players at SMAN 1 Torjun who registered in the Amateur Futsal League. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive methods. 1) The results of data collection obtained an average height of 1.67 m, an average weight of 61.86 kg, an average BMI of 22.29 within normal criteria. The average physical condition includes 2) average speed of movement (speed) 4.20 seconds, 3) average flexibility 16.87 cm, 4) average leg muscle strength of 106.86 kg, 5) average abdominal muscle endurance (muscular endurance) 39.71 times, 6) average leg muscle explosive power (power) 264 watts and 7) average aerobic endurance of 43.06 miles/kg/min.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing a student-experience-based teaching strategy on improving the learning outcomes of volleyball underhand passing skills in sixth-grade students of SDN Pademawu Timur 5 Pamekasan. The research method used was an experiment with a quantitative descriptive approach, using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection was carried out through an underhand passing skill test using the French-Cooper procedure. The results of the analysis showed an increase in learning outcomes of 12.46% after the implementation of the strategy. Thus, the student-experience-based teaching strategy proved effective in improving underhand passing skills in volleyball.

Abstract

This study concludes that the physical fitness level of grade VIII students at SMPN 1 Pademawu Pamekasan is overall in the "Poor" category. The participants in this study were 112 students from grade VIII at SMPN 1 Pademawu Pamekasan, consisting of 59 male students (52.68%) and 53 female students (47.32%) , all of whom were 13 years old. The research method used was descriptive quantitative with a one-shot model approach. The instrument used was the multi-stage fitness test (beep test) to measure the students' physical fitness level, specifically their aerobic capacity or cardiorespiratory endurance. Data analysis was performed using quantitative descriptive analysis, which involved calculating the frequency and percentage of the test results categorized into four levels of physical fitness: Good, Sufficient, Poor, and Very Poor. The survey results show that the physical fitness level of male students can be significantly categorized as "Sufficient". Of the 59 male students, 28.81% (17 students) were in the "Good" category , 37.29% (22 students) "Sufficient" , 25.42% (15 students) "Poor" , and 8.48% (5 students) "Very Poor". Meanwhile, the physical fitness level of female students can be significantly categorized as "Poor". Of the 53 female students, 26.42% (14 students) were in the "Sufficient" category , 64.15% (34 students) "Poor" , and 9.43% (5 students) "Very Poor".

Abstract

This study is a classroom action research aimed at improving the learning outcomes of volleyball underhand serve basic techniques in class X-3 students at SMAN 1 Pademawu through the implementation of a direct instruction model with a practical method. The research subjects were 34 students of class X-3. Data were collected through practical tests, as well as cognitive and affective observations. The results of the initial study (pretest) showed a very low learning mastery, with only 17.64% of students achieving the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) of 65%. After the intervention was implemented, a significant improvement occurred in two cycles. In Cycle I, the percentage of learning mastery increased to 41.17%. Although there was an increase in the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects, these results had not yet met the classical KKM, so the research was continued to Cycle II. In Cycle II, method improvements were made with more detailed instructions and stronger motivation. As a result, the percentage of mastery jumped to 76.47%, exceeding the set target. This indicates that the application of the direct instruction model with a practical method is significantly effective in improving student learning outcomes.
