Abstract

Practical difficulties often hinder students' understanding of simple electrical circuits. Confirmative practicums limit creativity as they do not provide opportunities for students to explore experiments independently. Furthermore, traditional practicums fail to accommodate diverse conceptual levels, including high and low electrical flow comprehension. To address these challenges, this study aimed to develop a virtual lab supplemented with an alternative solution worksheet for teaching simple electrical circuits to elementary school students. The research employed the Alessi & Trollip development model, encompassing three stages: planning, designing, and developing. Each stage involved continuous evaluations to ensure the quality of the developed product. Data collection methods included observations, interviews, and questionnaires, with validation performed by material and media experts. Data analysis utilized qualitative descriptive techniques to assess the product's effectiveness. The results indicated that the material validation test achieved an average score classified as "very good," with a percentage of 85.00%. Similarly, media validation results demonstrated an average percentage of 80.11%, also categorized as "very good." The implementation of the virtual lab showed significant improvements in students' understanding, as reflected in their test scores. The average pre-test score was 31.63, which increased substantially to an average post-test score of 70.51. These findings suggest that the virtual lab, combined with alternative solution worksheets, effectively enhances students' conceptual understanding and creativity in learning simple electrical circuits. This approach offers a promising alternative to traditional practicums for improving science education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Pancasila education in elementary schools is still dominated by methods that tend to be one-way and do not involve students actively in the learning process. This has an impact on the low understanding of Pancasila values. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education material at SD Negeri 15 Koba. This study used a classroom action research approach implemented in two learning cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research applied the Experiental Learning model with data collection techniques through observation of teacher and student activities and learning outcomes test, the research subjects were 27 grad 6 students. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes, where in the first cycle 66,67% of students reached the Criteria for Achieving Learning Objectives (KKTP), the increased to 88,89% in the second cycle. Teacher activity increased form 90,63% to 94,27% while student activity increased from 88,07% to 90,63%. The Experiental Learning model proved effective in improving understanding and implementation of Pancasila values through direct experience and meaningful reflection. This research provides a practical contribution to the development of more effective Pancasila Education learning strategies at the elementary school level, as well as providing an alternative learning model that can be adapted by teachers in teaching Pancasila values.

Abstract

One of the fundamental materials that students must master is fractions, as it is closely related to everyday life and future applications. In learning fractions, understanding the initial concept is crucial. However, fractions can be challenging for students because they involve numbers divided into two parts separated by a line, yet understood as a single unit. To address this, the researcher used the Make a Match media to enhance students' understanding of the material, which in turn impacted their learning outcomes. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, consisting of two learning cycles. Data and information were collected through observation sheets and test results, which were then analyzed quantitatively. The results showed an increase in students' understanding, as indicated by the average score, which rose from 60,33% to 78.50%. It can be concluded that using Make a Match media makes students learn more actively and enthusiastically, resulting in better learning outcomes.
