Abstract

This assistance aims to analyze Penghulu's Islamic Communication Assistance Strategy in Providing Premarital Guidance to Create a Sakinah Mawaddah Warahmah (Samara) Family in Kua Tanjung Morawa. The approach uses PAR (Participatory Action Research). The Islamic communication assistance strategy implemented by the headmen at KUA Tanjung Morawa in providing pre-marital guidance plays a very important role in creating a Sakinah Mawaddah Warahmah (SAMARA) family. The approach used includes a deep understanding of Islamic values, effective communication techniques, as well as empathy and emotional support for prospective bride and groom couples. Through structured guidance and based on Islamic principles, the bride and groom are able to help prospective bride and groom couples understand the importance of commitment, mutual understanding and cooperation in building a harmonious family, so that the goal of achieving a sakinah, mawaddah and warahmah family can be realized more fully real.

Abstract

Perlanaan Village is a potential village with abundant natural resources. One of the leading commodities in the village is cassava. Most of the MSMEs in Perlanaan Village produce alen-alen because they have promising business prospects. However, in practice, MSMEs have not been able to create good marketing conditions. MSMEs' limited knowledge in utilizing social networks is an inhibiting factor in the development of alen-alen businesses. This research was conducted in November - December 2023 in Perlanaan Village. This research aims to analyze marketing communication strategies in increasing sales of processed alen-alen cassava products in Perlanaan Village. The research method used is a case study. Data collection methods are carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. The sampling technique uses non-probability using purposive sampling. The respondents used consisted of a group of PKK women and 5 MSMEs. The data analysis method used is a qualitative descriptive analysis method. The research results show that the use of social media is a marketing communication strategy that is quite effective in attracting consumer attraction. Marketing communication is also very important in the marketing strategy for processed Alen-Alen cassava products. Community empowerment activities have the potential to increase the community's knowledge and interest in learning in utilizing the abundance of cassava into more innovative food snack products as well as the rise of social media which has become a strategic tool in marketing communications.

Abstract

Community service is a manifestation of the duties of lecturers and students in carrying out the third Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Community Service. Through community service activities carried out in Lingga Cultural Village, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency, there is a synergy between universities and the community as a form of mutual tolerance and socialization. The purpose of this service is to embrace the community in socializing and also uphold religious meaning in the life of Muslim minority communities. Community service is carried out through socialization activities with the village community, carrying out various kinds of competitions, mutual cooperation and teaching activities. The results of the service provide an illustration of increasing enthusiasm and increasing understanding of the community, especially teachers and parents about religious tolerance and also socializing with each other without distinguishing race, ethnicity, religion from one anither. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the political communication of the Prosperous Justice Party Branch Leadership Council (DPC PKS) in cadre recruitment in Medan Denai. This research uses qualitative methods with a field study approach. This research is a descriptive analysis study. Data sources for this research include primary data obtained through interviews and documentation, and secondary data originating from journal articles, books and relevant research. Data collection was carried out using semi-structured interview techniques and documentation studies. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman scheme, involving the process of data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this research indicate that the recruitment pattern for PKS DPC Medan Denai cadres involves three main approaches: open recruitment, internal selection, and informal approaches. In open recruitment, political communication is used to introduce the party's vision, mission and values to prospective cadres, build interest and encourage participation in the recruitment process. In internal selection, political communication helps explain new roles and responsibilities to potential cadres through dialogue, maintaining commitment and stability of party leadership. In the informal approach, political communication is personal and relies on personal relationships and trust, helping to motivate prospective cadres to join the party and contribute actively.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the impact of the editor-in-chief of LPM Dinamika UIN SU's interpersonal communication on enhancing students' writing originality. The research employed a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach. The researchers at the LPM Dinamika UIN SU secretariat collected data by conducting interviews and participant observation. Data analysis techniques encompass the processes of gathering data, condensing data, presenting data, and deriving conclusions. The research findings demonstrate that the editor-in-chief's interpersonal communication with members plays a significant impact in encouraging and motivating them to enhance their writing originality. The editor-in-chief offers training, disseminates the most up-to-date material, and expresses recognition to members who demonstrate exceptional performance. In addition, social media serves as a significant source of knowledge and a valuable tool for learning. The research findings indicate that the combination of excellent interpersonal communication, environmental support, and utilization of social media can greatly enhance the writing creativity of those involved in campus journalism organizations.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the perceptions and practices of TikTok users in Medan Denai District, North Sumatra, in relation to Islamic communication ethics. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study method, using in-depth interviews and participant observation. Through analysis of Islamic Mass Communication Ethics theory, this research explores how the young generation in Medan Denai District practices values such as honesty, accuracy of information, and responsibility in their interactions on TikTok. The research results show that the young generation in Medan Denai actively uses TikTok as a means of creative expression and social interaction. They demonstrate a high awareness of Islamic ethical principles, which is reflected in their habit of verifying information before sharing it and in providing honest and constructive comments. This study concludes that TikTok is not only an entertainment platform, but also plays an important role in the formation of ethical values and social interactions in local communities, providing valuable insights for the development of educational policies and communication practices in the digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effectiveness of communication strategies in mitigating the spread of hoaxes during the 2024 Election in Asahan Regency. The research method used is a case study with a focus on collaboration between institutions such as the Communication and Information Service, Police, Bawaslu, KPU, and civil society organizations. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with representatives from each institution as well as analysis of related policy documents. Data analysis was carried out using a qualitative approach to identify effective communication strategies and the obstacles faced in their implementation. The research results show that coordinated collaboration between institutions is the key to tackling the spread of hoaxes. Communication strategies involving early detection, quick response to hoaxes, and digital literacy education campaigns have succeeded in mitigating the negative impact of hoaxes on the democratic process in Asahan Regency. This research contributes to strengthening election integrity, increasing public trust in democratic institutions, and building awareness of the importance of accurate information in political decision making.

Abstract

Teenagers are often influenced by various distractions, generational challenges, and differences in personality, which hinder their religious awareness, including for the teenagers at Masjid Telaga Zam-Zam Sidikalang. This study aims to understand how religious leaders use interpersonal communication to overcome these obstacles and enhance the religious awareness of teenagers. The research focuses on Masjid Telaga Zam-Zam Sidikalang in analyzing the interpersonal communication patterns of religious leaders, the obstacles faced, and the resulting impacts. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews and direct observation. The informants consist of religious leaders and teenagers who are actively involved in religious activities at the mosque. The data obtained were analyzed using triangulation techniques with the data analysis approach of Miles and Huberman (1994), which includes data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The findings of the study show that religious leaders use various interpersonal communication strategies, such as direct dialogue, providing good behavioral examples, group activities, and religious study sessions, to increase the religious awareness of teenagers. Despite the obstacles, such as distractions from social media and generational challenges, the interpersonal communication efforts successfully increased the teenagers' involvement in religious activities, strengthened emotional bonds, and encouraged positive changes in their attitudes and behavior. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of interpersonal communication in shaping teenagers' religious awareness, particularly in the mosque environment. This study contributes to the understanding of how religious leaders can utilize interpersonal communication to overcome challenges in guiding teenagers. Recommendations include the development of more adaptive and personal communication strategies to address the challenges faced by teenagers and to enhance their involvement in religious activities.

Abstract

Perilaku dan proses dalam keterlibatan interaksi dalam penyampaian apa yang terjadi disebut komunikasi. Provinsi Aceh sendiri adalah wilayah yang menjalankan syariat islam, dalam mewujudkannya menjadi islam yang kaffah maka perlu adanya lembaga yang mengawasi dan membina pelaksanaannya. Adapun Lembaga yang dimaksudkan adalah Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja dan Wilayatul Hisbah, yang merupakan suatu organisasi memiliki tugas fungsional yang berbeda. Satpol PP bertugas dalam mengatur ketertiban umum, sementara Wilayatul Hisbah bertugas sebagai membina dan penindakan dalam pelaksanaan syariah Islam. Maka dari itu perlunya strategi komunikasi islam dalam menyelesaikan persoalan syariah islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi strategi komunikasi islam Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja dan Wilayatul Hisbah dalam upaya pencegahan pelanggaran syariah islam, dan mengetahui bagaimana bentuk dari komunikasi islam yang diterapkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan key informan. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui hasil observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Setelah data dikumpulkan peneliti akan memilah dan memilih kebutuhan data yang akan dirangkum dalam temuan penelitian secara sistematis. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, dapat ketahui bahwasanya proses komunikasi islam yang dilakukan Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja dan Wilayatul Hisbah Kabupaten Gayo Lues dalam upaya pencegahan pelanggaran syariat islam. Selanjtnya melakukan koordinator antar lembaga yang berhubungan dengan pelaksanaan syariat islam. Sedangkan bentuk-bentuk dari komunikasi islam yang dilakukan secara langsung dan tidak langsung menggunakan media.

Abstract

Abstract Ma’had Al-Jami’ah UIN Sumatera Utara is designed for female students of UIN Sumatera Utara and aims to build their character through strengthening the basics of Islam, developing tahfidz/tahsin AlQur’an, and improving foreign language skills (Arabic and English). Muhadharah is one of the activities at Ma’had Al-Jamiah UIN Sumatera Utara in training public speaking of students. Speeches are delivered in three languages (Indonesian, Arabic and English). In Islam, public speaking is one of the methods used by many preachers to spread Islamic teachings. Muhadharah activities at Ma’had Al-Jami’ah UIN Sumatera Utara are held once a week every Friday at 20.3022.00 WIB and are attended by all students of Ma’had Al-Jami’ah UIN Sumatera Utara. This article aims to explain the strategy of the management of Ma’had Al-Jami’ah UIN Sumatera Utara in improving the public speaking skills of students through muhadharah activities, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a qualitative descriptive field study. The sources of research data include the students, administrators of the ma'had and students of Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN North Sumatra. The results of the study indicate that muhadharah activities, division of tasks and exercises, encouragement, and istinbat. This strategy is expected to help students train their public speaking skills. Supporting factors for muhadharah activities at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN North Sumatra include facilities and infrastructure, human resources, and skills possessed. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include inadequate facilities, lack of self-confidence, and limited language skills. Keywords: Muhadharah; mahasantri; public speaking. Abstrak Ma’had Al-Jami’ah UIN Sumatera Utara dirancang untuk mahasiswi UIN Sumatera Utara dan bertujuan untuk membangun karakter mereka melalui penguatan dasar-dasar keIslamanan, pengembangan tahfidz/tahsin Al-Qur’an, dan peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa asing (Arab dan Inggris). Muhadharah merupakan salah satu kegiatan di Ma’had Al-Jamiah UIN Sumatera Utara dalam melatih public speaking para mahasantri. Pidato yang disampaikan dalam tiga bahasa (Indonesia, Arab dan Inggris). Dalam Islam, public speaking merupakan salah satu metode yang digunakan oleh banyak pendakwah untuk menyebarkan ajaran-ajaran Islam. Kegiatan muhadharah di Ma’had Al-Jami’ah UIN Sumatera Utara dilaksanakan seminggu sekali disetiap hari Jum’ah pukul 20.30-22.00 WIB dan diikuti oleh seluruh mahasantri Ma’had Al-Jami’ah UIN Sumatera Utara. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan strategi pengurus Ma’had Al-Jami’ah UIN Sumatera Utara dalam meningkatkan kemampuan public speaking mahasantri melalui kegiatan muhadharah, serta faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi lapangan deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian mencakup mudir, pengurus ma’had dan mahasantri Ma’had AlJami’ah UIN Sumatera Utara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan muhadharah, pembagian tugas dan latihan, pemberian semangat, dan istinbat. Strategi ini diharapkan dapat membantu mahasantri melatih kemampuan public speaking mahasantri. Faktor-faktor pendukung kegiatan muhadharah di Ma’had Al-Jami’ah UIN Sumatera Utara meliputi saran dan prasarana, sumber daya manusia, dan keterampilan yang dimiliki. Sementa itu, faktor-faktor penghambatnya antara lain fasilitas yang kurang memadai, kurang percaya diri, dan kerbatasan kemampuan bahasa. Kata-kata kunci: Muhadharah; mahasantri; public speaking.
