Abstract

Traditional theater Mendu has become the identity of the West Kalimantan Malay community because in the Mendu performance various Malay elements are preserved such as customs, oral traditions, oral literature, regional languages, traditional clothing, regional dances, Malay pencak silat and other values. These values are local wisdom that can be a pillar in maintaining traditional theater Mendu. This research aims to describe the local wisdom values contained in the traditional theater Mendu of West Kalimantan. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with an ethnographic approach. The research results show that Mendu has good local wisdom values, that are worth preserving. These values are integrated into a Mendu performance, including: (1) the value of Malay identity, (2) religious values, (3) the value of the tradition of cooperation, (4) the value of preserving regional languages, (5) the value of preserving oral literature, (6) the value of preserving traditional pencak silat, (7) the value of preserving traditional Malay clothing, (8) the value of preserving regional dances, (9) the value of Malay customs, (10) the value of community education, (11) the value of kinship and social solidarity. AbstrakTeater tradisional Mendu menjadi identitas masyarakat Melayu Kalimantan Barat dikarenakan dalam pertunjukan Mendu tersimpan berbagai unsur kemelayuan seperti adat istiadat, tradisi lisan, sastra lisan, bahasa daerah, pakaian adat, tari daerah, pencak silat Melayu, dan nilai-nilai lainnya. Nilai-nilai tersebut merupakan kearifan lokal yang dapat menjadi pilar dalam pemertahanan teater tradisional Mendu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang terdapat dalam teater tradisional Mendu Kalimantan Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatf dengan pendekatan etnografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Mendu memiliki nilai kearifan lokal yang baik, sehingga patut untuk dilestarikan. Nilai-nilai tersebut terintegrasi dalam sebuah pertunjukan Mendu, antara lain: (1) nilai identitas melayu, (2) nilai religi, (3) nilai tradisi gotong royong, (4) nilai pemertahanan bahasa daerah, (5) nilai pelestarian sastra lisan, (6) nilai pelestarian pencak silat tradisional, (7) nilai pelestarian pakaian adat melayu, (8) nilai pelestarian tari daerah, (9) nilai adat istiadat Melayu, (10) nilai edukasi masyarakat, (11) nilai kekeluargaan dan kesetiakawanan sosial.

Abstract

One of the main concerns of most language teachers is to provide solutions for language learners in order to develop language proficiency. In this case, speaking skills have become a major concern of language teachers as well as language learners. These problems in this research include the learning atmosphere that is not yet pleasant, the application of learning models and methods is not yet effective and efficient, students' internal constraints, the assessment process is not yet effective, and there is no motivation and involvement of all students' senses in learning. This study examines students' needs for learning to speak based on social cognitive theory. Data were obtained from class XI students in five senior high schools. The results of the research found that 1) it is necessary to create a pleasant learning atmosphere; 2) the need to choose the right model and method as well as apply it effectively and efficiently in learning because this is related to students' internal problems; 3) There needs to be an improvement process in aspects of the appraisal process; 4) there needs to be motivation and involvement of all student senses in learning. It can be concluded that this problem requires innovation and development of speaking teaching models in order to improve the quality of teaching speaking in class XI senior high school students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu; (1) mendeskripsikan tingkat kecemasan Guru dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka di sekolah dasar, (2) menganalisis perbedaan kecemasan Guru dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan kelas. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain survei. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah sekolah dasar negeri di Singkawang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Guru sekolah dasar kelas 1 dan kelas 4 yang telah mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka. Sampel yang diambil menggunakan Teknik sampling insidental sehingga jumlah guru yang menjadi sampel adalah 48 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah komunikasi tidak langsung, sedangkan instrument yang digunakan berupa skala likert dengan pilihan sangat sesuai, sesuai, tidak sesuai dan sangat tidak sesuai. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan manova. Hasil penelitian bahwa; (1) tingkat kecamasan guru masuk pada. kategori sedang dengan persentase 87,5%, (2) tidak dapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara Guru laki-laki dan perempuan serta guru yang mengajar di kelas 1 dan 4 terkait kecemasan dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka dengan nilai signifikasi > .05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kecemasan guru dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka berada pada kategori sedang dan cenderung naik pada level tinggi jika tidak dikontrol dengan baik. Kemudian tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terkait implementasi merdeka berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan kelas.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the reading interest of fifth-grade students at State Elementary School 23 Singkawang and identify the factors influencing their reading interest. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews (with students, teachers, the principal, and the librarian), and documentation. The results indicate that the majority of fifth-grade students have a moderate level of reading interest. Internal factors influencing reading interest include reading ability, reading habits, and motivation. Meanwhile, external factors encompass family environment (parental support), the availability of books and library facilities, and the influence of technology. The study concludes that efforts to enhance reading interest should consider both internal and external factors of students, as well as involve schools, families, and the positive use of technology.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to state whether or not there was a difference in science learning outcomes of students using the Children Learning In Scince (CLIS) Learning Model with students who used the direct learning model for grade IV. The subjects in this study consisted of two classes, namely class IV A with 20 students and class IVB with 20 students. There were three instruments used in this study, namely test sheets, observation sheets, and documentation. This type of research is Quasi Experimental, where class IV B as an experiment that will be given treatment and class IV A as a control class that is not given treatment. The data analysis technique used a two-sample t-test, effect size, and percentage. Research results; 1) There is a difference in the science learning outcomes of students who use the Children Learning In Science (CLIS) Learning Model with students who are taught with a direct learning model, the calculation results show t_count = 5.559 and t_table = 1.686; 2) The Children Learning In Science (CLIS) Learning Model has a large influence on the science learning outcomes of grade IV students of SDN 85 Singkawang, with the calculation results of the effect size of 1.49; 3) The implementation of the Children Learning In Science (CLIS) Learning Model is in the very good category for science learning outcomes, with the calculation results of 92.66%. So from the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that "There is an Effect of the Children Learning In Science (CLIS) learning model on the science learning outcomes of grade V students of SDN 85 Singkawang.Keywords: CLIS, Learning Outcomes, and ScienceAbstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menyatakan ada tidaknya pengaruh hasil belajar IPA siswa menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Children Learning In Science (CLIS) dengan siswa yang mengunakan model pembelajaran langsung kelas IV. Hasil penelitian; 1) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPA siswa yang menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Children Learning In Science (CLIS) dengan siswa yang diajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Langsung, hasil perhitungan menunjukkan t_hitung = 5,559 dan t_tabel = 1,686; 2) Model Pembelajaran Children Learning In Science (CLIS) berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SDN 85 Singkawang, dengan hasil perhitungan effect size sebesar 1,49; 3) Keterlaksanaan Model Pembelajaran Children Learning In Science (CLIS) dengan kategori sangat baik terhadap hasil belajar IPA, dengan hasil perhitungan 92,66%. Abstract

This study evaluates the efficacy of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model, augmented with snakes and ladders game media, in enhancing the conceptual comprehension and learning motivation of Grade 5 students at SDN 88 Singkawang. Employing a quantitative approach employing a quasi-experimental posttest-only control group design, the research encompassed all Grade 5 students through a total sampling strategy. The control group consisted of 23 students from class 5-A, while the experimental group included 24 students from class 5-B. Data was collected utilizing both test and non-test instruments, and assumption testing was conducted via the Chi-Square normality test and homogeneity of variance test. Independent samples t-test, effect size calculation, and percentage analysis were employed to analyze the data. The findings revealed a substantial disparity in conceptual understanding between the two groups. The experimental group demonstrated superior scores, as evidenced by t(45) = 5.61, p < 0.001, surpassing the critical value of ttable = 2.01. The effect size of 1.4 confirmed the pronounced impact of the TGT model coupled with snakes and ladders game media. Furthermore, students’ learning interest within the experimental group was categorized as high, with an average percentage of 82.1%. In summation, the integration of the TGT model with snakes and ladders game media significantly enhances both conceptual comprehension and learning motivation among Grade 5 students, particularly in the domain of mathematics, specifically fractions. These findings underscore the potential of combining cooperative learning models with game-based media to foster active engagement and profound understanding in elementary mathematics education.
