Abstract

This study aimed to describe the type of speech acts used in Indonesian language learning; violation of cooperation principle  in Indonesian language learning; and Compliance politeness principle in Indonesian language learning at SMK Pelayaran "Akpelni" Semarang. This research was conducted at SMK Pelayaran “Akepelni” Semarang. Object of this research is the teachers and students in the Indonesian language learning at classroom. Data were collected through observation and techniques used SLBC. Samples were taken by using purposive sampling technique. Data was validated using triangulation techniques and source triangulation theory. Data were analyzed using data analysis interactive model. The results showed that, 1) the teacher and student use of speech acts, such as locution, illocution, and perlocution; 2) violation of cooperation principle undertaken by teachers and students is the maxim of quantity, maxim of quality, maxim of relevance, and the maxim of manner; and 3) adherence to the principles of politeness done by teachers and students is the tact maxim, generosity maxim, approbation maxim, modesty maxim, agreement maxim, and sympathy maxim.

Abstract

The curriculum and learning are two inseparable things. As a program, the curriculumwill not be meaningful when not implemented in the form of learning. Along with the development of thetimes and demands of the community, then the world of Indonesian education needs to innovate, realizedwith the implementation of the curriculum 2013. Responding to the challenge made the curriculum 2013to be interesting to study. This study aims to determine and describe: (1) Indonesian language teachers’perceptions of the Curriculum 2013 Implementation; (2) the process by planning and course of learningwith the Curriculum 2013 Implementation; (3) obstacles encountered in learning with the Curriculum2013 Implementation; (4) problem solving in learning with Curriculum 2013 Implementation. Abstract

Indonesian language is a foreign language at Sebelas Maret University for students from abroad. Foreign students who communicate with English encounter difficulty to understand and use deixis. This study tried to contrast deixis on two textbooks, Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA)/Indonesian for foreigner and English textbook. The study was conducted through qualitative study with contrastive analysis. AntConc version 3.4.5 was used to identify deixis corpus from BIPA textbook. The concordance from the BIPA textbook was compared with sentences on the English textbook. The analysis found that deixis from those textbooks were different in term of position, form and use. Indonesian deixis can either precede or follow a noun or verb while English deixis appeared only before a noun or verb. When coming together with plural noun, English deixis changes in the form, meanwhile Indonesian’s is not. Based on this study, BIPA teachers are suggested to bring concrete samples during teaching deixis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor penyebab terjadinya alih kode dan campur kode dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yang digunakan oleh penutur di lingkungan SMK  kota Medan. Metode yang digunakan ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Data  dalam penelitian ini adalah bahasa – bahasa yang digunakan oleh guru dan siswa pada saat pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Pengumpulan data digunakan dengan teknik teknik pengamatan, teknik wawancara dan teknik rekam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Faktor-faktor penyebab Alih kode ialah  (1) penutur, (2) lawan tutur, (3) hadirnya penutur ketiga, (4) pokok pembicaraan dan (5) membangkitkan rasa humor. Faktor penyebab campur kode ialah (1) ingin menjelaskan sesuatu, (2) karena situasi dan (3)  ingin menjalin keakraban antara guru dan siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to interpret the meaning of wayang kulit wanda of Panakawan figures. The wanda analyzed is wanda of wayang kulit based Surakarta model. The method of study was descriptive qualitative. The research object was the signs on wayang kulit wanda of Panakawan figures. This signs was examined its meaning by the employment of semiotic theories. Technique of data collection used interview and documentation. Data validity was triangulation of data source. Data from one source compared with other sources to test the validity of a data. The result of this research found that the meaning behind wayang kulit wanda of Panakawan figures. Those meaning are the reflection of wong cilik characteristic. Semar shows that wong cilik has religious character. Gareng describes that wong cilik has an honest and careful character. Petruk shows the character of wong cilik is hardworking. Objek penelitian ini adalah tanda pada wanda wayang kulit tokoh Panakawan. Tanda pada wanda tersebut dikaji maknanya menggunakan teori semiotik. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi. Validasi data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah triangulasi sumber data. Data dari sumber satu dibandingkan dengan sumber yang lain untuk menguji validitas sebuah data. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah makna dibalik wanda wayang kulit tokoh Panakawan. Makna dari wanda tersebut merupakan cerminan dari karakteristik wong cilik. Semar menunjukkan bahwa wong cilik memiliki karakter religius. Gareng menggambarkan bahwa wong cilik memiliki karakter jujur dan berhati-hati. Petruk menunjukkan karakter wong cilik yang pekerja keras. Terakhir, yaitu Bagong menggambarkan karakteristik wong cilik yang lugu berkata apa adanya.Kata kunci: wanda, Panakawan, wayang kulit, wong cilik, semiotik

Abstract

Politeness strategies in primary school is the foundation of character building. This study aims to identify the power and orientation of positive politeness strategies used by the children at the age of elementary school as the character of Indonesian. This study applies qualitative research with single-case study strategy. The data source consists of all elementary school teachers and students in Surakarta and Yogyakarta. The data were collected by using active observation and focus group discussion.  The data are in the forms of  teaching materials. The data were analyzed using heuristic model proposed by Grice & Leech by applying the principles of reconciliation, cultural and social harmony. The result shows that the elementary school teachers and students having the Javanese cultural background indicated by (a) building the nature of psychological as the core of positive politeness and nation character by improving the empathy feeling, looking for the agreement, giving respect,  appreciating the achievement, and giving the profit to another; (b) prioritizing the duty instead of the rights; (c) creating the wise of directive act strategyby positioning the listener ; (d) respecting others to show the suavity and politeness. Therefore, the Javanese society in line with directive politeness action always put the environment society to keep its social-societal relationship. Keywords: directive politeness, harmony principle, javanese cultural,positive politeness, socio-societal AbstrakStrategi kesantunan di sekolah dasar adalah fondasi pembentukan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kekuatan dan orientasi strategi kesantunan positif anak-anak di usia sekolah dasar sebagai karakter bangsa Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus tunggal. Sumber data terdiri dari semua guru sekolah dasar dan anak-anak usia SD di Surakarta dan Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan observasi aktif dan diskusi kelompok fokus. Data tersebut berupa bahan ajar. Data dianalisis menggunakan model heuristik yang diajukan oleh Grice & Leech dengan menerapkan prinsip rekonsiliasi, budaya dan keharmonisan sosial. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa guru sekolah dasar dan anak-anak usia SD yang memiliki latar belakang budaya Jawa ditunjukkan dengan (a) membangun sifat psikologis sebagai inti dari kesantunan positif dan karakter bangsa dengan meningkatkan perasaan empati, mencari kesepakatan, memberikan rasa hormat, menghargai pencapaian, dan memberikan keuntungan kepada yang lain; (b) memprioritaskan tugas dan bukan hak; (c) menciptakan strategi tindakan yang efektif dengan memposisikan pendengar; (D) menghormati orang lain untuk menunjukkan kesantunan. Oleh karena itu, masyarakat Jawa sejalan dengan tindakan kesopanan direktif selalu menempatkan masyarakat lingkungan untuk menjaga hubungan sosial-kemasyarakatannya.Kata Kunci: kesantunan direktif, prinsip harmoni, budaya jawa, kesantunan positif, sosio-sosietal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know what character values can be instilled through debate learning. Debate learning is a new basic competence that high school students have to study in this 2013 revision of the 2016 curriculum. In 2016, SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar became the 1st champion in high school debate competition in Karanganyar regency. The management of debate learning in SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar has become a benchmark for other schools in implementing debate learning. In addition to the teaching materials and methods used, the main thing in learning this curriculum is about character education for students. This research is qualitative research with case study method. Technique of taking data in this research is by using technique of record and record from result of observation done in class X SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar. The result obtained from this research is the discovery of 13 character values, namely: 1) honest; 2) discipline; 3) hard work; 4) curiosity; 5) nationalism; 6) appreciate achievement; 7) communicative; 8) love of peace; 9) reading; 10) environmental care; 11) responsibility; 12) manners; And 13) confident.Keywords: character education, debate learning, 2013 revision curriculum IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM PEMBELAJARAN DEBAT KURIKULUM 2013 PADA SMA NEGERI 1 KARANGANYARAbstrakPembelajaran debat merupakan kompetensi dasar baru yang harus dipelajari siswa SMA pada edisi kurikulum 2013 revisi 2016 ini. SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar merupakan SMA pedoman bagi sekolah-sekolah lain di lingkungan Kabupaten Karanganyar karena terlihat dari input dan output siswa yang baik. Pada tahun 2016 kemarin SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar menjadi juara 1 dalam lomba debat tingkat SMA se-kabupaten Karanganyar. Pengelolaan pembelajaran debat yang ada di SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar menjadi tolok ukur bagi sekolah lain dalam menerapkan pembelajaran debat. Selain materi dan metode ajar yang digunakan, hal utama dalam pembelajaran kurikulum ini adalah mengenai pendidikan karakter untuk siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apa saja nilai-nilai karakter yang dapat ditanamkan melalui pembelajaran debat. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengambilan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik rekam dan catat dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini berupa ditemukannya 13 nilai karakter, yakni: 1) jujur; 2) disiplin; 3) kerja keras; 4) rasa ingin tahu; 5) nasionalisme; 6) menghargai prestasi; 7) komunikatif; 8) cinta damai; 9) gemar membaca; 10) peduli lingkungan; 11) tanggung jawab; 12) sopan santun; dan 13) percaya diri.Kata kunci: pendidikan karakter, pembelajaran debat, kurikulum 2013 revisi

Abstract

The style of writing scientific articles published in scientific journals has an important role in the assessment of an article. This study aimed to describe whether the form of writing scientific articles style on Indonesian Education Program students of Universitas Sebelas Maret was in accordance with Accreditation Guidlines of Scientific Parodical Issue (PATBI) published by Ditlitabmas Directorate General of Higher Education. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The data in this research were two scholarly article documents of master's students thesis of Indonesian Education Program of Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta and Guidelines of Accreditation of Scientific Periodic Issue. Data collection technique used in this research was purposive sampling technique. The validity of data used triangulation theory and data analysis technique in this research used interactive analysis model. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa dua dokumen artikel ilmiah tesis mahasiswa Program Pascasarsana Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta dan Pedoman Akreditasi Terbitan Berkala Ilmiah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sampling. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teori. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Abstract

Writing is a skill about pouring an idea or concept in form of write (written). The research which is done in X IPA 2 class of SMA Negeri Karangpandan showed that the value of the student writing skill is still low. This research purpose is to raise a writing skill of the learners which is use a Think Talk Write method. This research is held on March until May. The subjects in this research are the teachers and the student of X IPA 2 class in SMA Negeri Karangpandan. The data is in the form of picture, video, Education of Implementation plan, test result, list of value, transcription of interviewing and field record. The resource of the data include: Informant, Place and Event, and the document. The data validity uses a triangulation method and triangulation data resource. The analysis data technique is use analysis critical technique and descriptive comparative technique. The indicator achievement amount 80% .The research procedure comprise with planning, implementation of the action, and reporting. The Result from this research showed that the application of Think Talk Write method could raise a writing skill based on folklore student of X IPA 2 class in SMA Negeri Karangpandan.Key words: writing short story, folklore, Think Talk Write methodPENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS CERPEN BERDASARKAN CERITA RAKYAT MENGGUNAKAN METODE THINK TALK WRITEAbstrakMenulis merupakan suatu keterampilan dalam menuangkan ide atau gagasan dalam bentuk tulis. Penelitian yang dilakukan di kelas X IPA 2 SMA Negeri Karangpandan menunjukkan bahwa masih rendahnya nilai keterampilan siswadalam menulis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis peserta didik dengan menggunakan metode Think Talk Write. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai bulan Mei. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan peserta didik kelas X IPA 2 SMA Negeri Karangpandan. Data berupa foto, video, rpp, hasil tes, daftar nilai, catatan hasil wawancara dan catatan lapangan. Sumber data meliputi: informan, tempat dan peristiwa, dan dokumen. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi metode dan triangulasi sumber data. Teknik analisis data dengan teknik analisis kritis dan teknik deskriptif komparatif. Indikator ketercapaian sebesar 80%. Prosedur penelitian terdiri perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, dan pelaporan. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Think Talk Write mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerpen berdasarkan cerita rakyat peserta didik kelas X IPA 2 SMA Negeri Karangpandan.Kata Kunci: menulis cerpen, cerita rakyat, metode Think Talk Write

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain the form of language errors in the field of phonology, morphology, and syntax in the exposition essay of the student of X MIPA SMA N 4 Surakarta and describe the causes of language errors and efforts that can be done by teachers and students so that the Indonesian language error in the exposition essay by the students of X MIPA SMA N 4 Surakarta can be minimized. The research uses qualitative method with case study type. Research data in the form of Indonesian language error obtained through the exposition essay by the student of X MIPA and the data source used are documents and informants. Data collection technique conducted through observation, interviews, dan test. Data validity test used is triangulation method, informant review, dan intrarater. The result of this research are description of: (1) forms of language errors in the phonological field include capitalization misuse, misuse of punctuation, particle error, rewrite error, typographic error, and typing error; (2) the form of language error in the morphological field include mistakes of preposition, mistake of word formation, and error of pleonasm; (3) the form of language error in the syntax field include the phrase structure dan sentence structure; and (4) the factors causing the Indonesian language error not only comes from the students but also because of teacher and efforts that can be done to minimize language errors.
