Abstract

Bioethanol is a renewable energy that can be used as an alternative fuel. Bioethanol is alcohol produced from plants by using microorganisms through a fermentation process. This study aims to determine and analyze the combustion characteristics of premixed bioethanol from Lontar (Borassus Flabellifer), including: temperature, flame height and flame color. The research method uses a variety of air to be inserted, starting from 0 ml/min air flow to blow off in multiples of 50 ml/min. From the results of research that has been done, it shows that in premixed combustion the more air volume is given, the more blue the color of the flame will be, the temperature of the fire will increase and the height of the fire will be lower

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan solar murni ke dalam FAME (Fatty Acid Methyl Ester) pada proses pembakaran premixed, terhadap perubahan temperatur api dan warna nyala api. Percobaan dilakukan dengan membakar campuran minyak FAME dan minyak solar murni, dengan persentasi FAME dan solar murni sebesar 70%:30%, 80%:20%, 90%:10%, dan 95%:5%. Hasil pengujian pembakaram premixed dari campuran ini kemudian diamati warna nyala apinya dengan bantuan camera digital dan temperatur nyala apinya pada 2 titik, yang mana diukur secara langsung dengan menggunakan termokopel. Equivalence ratio pada pembakaran ini dihitung untuk semua komposisi campuran FAME dan minyak solar. Dari data hasil penelitian dan analisis, dapati bahwa semakin kecil equivalence ratio maka temperatur api akan meningkat. Hal ini terjadi karena udara yang ditambahkan dalam proses pembakaran tercampur sempurna dengan bahan bakar, sehingga kalor yang dihasilkan semakin besar dan juga temperatur semakin meningkat. Selain itu juga dapat terlihat bahwa temperatur pada titik 1 lebih tinggi dari pada titik 2. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa titik 1 merupakan zona pembakaran akhir, dimana bahan bakar telah terbakar habis. Warna nyala api juga akan menjadi semakin biru ketika equivalence ratio semakin kecil.

Abstract

The method used in this research is the VDI 2222 method. The process of testing the tool is carried out by turning on the motor, and inputting the lamtoro leaves which will be floured into the tube, the results of the design of the lamtoro leaf powder machine with the VDI 2222 method and the results of the lamtoro leaf flour powder machine test, concluded as follows: Design of a lamtoro leaf crushing machine with engine dimensions, namely: Height 50 cm, Width 30 cm and Length 37 cm, and motor power ¼ hp and uses a belt and pulley transmission, by testing the weight of lamtoro leaves, namely 3000 gr (3 kg) with the required time of 420 minutes, then the flouring process is carried out so that it will produce lamtoro flour with a fineness level of 80 mesh. The design stages using the VDI 2222 method are carried out sequentially which can be adjusted to the needs.

Abstract

Briquettes are an alternative energy source to replace dependence on fossil fuels such as kerosene. However, in the process of making briquettes, there are still obstacles. The printing process still uses traditional methods, and the existing briquette printing equipment is also not equipped with a hydraulic system and pressure gauge, so it requires more printing time. It cannot know how much pressure is applied during printing. A briquette printing machine equipped with a hydraulic system and pressure gauge is needed to simplify the briquette printing process and save energy. The purpose of designing this briquette printing machine is to produce a press machine design with a hydraulic system equipped with a pressure gauge. The design method used in this research is an experiment using the Shigley-Mitchell method. The results of the analysis of the maximum stress of the material for 150 kg pressure on the frame 2,565x107 N/m2, the press cylinder 1,932x106 N/m2, the upper press piston 8,830x102 N/m2, the lower plunger piston 2,392x107 N/m2, and the maximum stress for the loading pressure on the connecting lever 1,433x107 N/m2, the pressing lever 2,873x108 N/m2, the material yield strength value 6,204 x 108 N/m2.

Abstract

produce quality poultry chicks. However, the natural egg-hatching process is often less efficient and susceptible to fluctuations in environmental temperature. Therefore, to increase the efficiency and results of egg hatching, this research aims to design and test an automatic chicken egg incubator that uses solar energy. This tool is designed to consider factors such as temperature, humidity, and air circulation required for optimal egg hatching. Testing was carried out for 21 days, by monitoring environmental temperature, humidity, and temperature distribution in the egg hatching room. The test results showed that the tool was able to reach the desired temperature for hatching eggs and succeeded in hatching several eggs well, while some other eggs experienced defects or died during the hatching process. In addition, power and energy consumption analysis shows that the device has quite good efficiency in using energy, with low energy consumption to maintain the room temperature within the desired range. The solar-powered automatic egg incubator has the potential to increase the efficiency and yield of egg hatching in the livestock industry and can be an environmentally friendly alternative by utilizing solar energy which is available freely and sustainably

Abstract

Dalam peningkatan kebutuhan energi dan kesadaran akan pelestarian lingkungan, penggunaan bahan bakar yang ramah lingkungan dan efisien menjadi penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kompor yang dapat menggunakan berbagai jenis bahan bakar sebagai solusi alternatif. Fokusnya adalah pada pengujian konsumsi bahan bakar dan temperatur api dari tiga jenis bahan bakar: minyak tanah, Biodiesel B30, dan minyak jelantah. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi bahan bakar pada ketinggian penempatan tabung bahan bakar 200 cm, konsumsi bahan bakar pada bahan bakar minyak tanah sebesar 0,035 ml/s, Biodiesel B30 sebesar 0,04ml/s, dan minyak jelantah sebesar 0,03ml/s, sedangkan pada ketinggian penempatan tabung bahan bakar 160 cm, konsumsi bahan bakar pada bahan bakar minyak tanah sebesar 0,031ml/s, Biodiesel B30 sebesar 0,039ml/s, minyak jelantah sebesar 0,027ml/s, dan Temperatur api di ketinggian menaruh tabung bahan bakar di 200 cm, pada bahan bakar minyak tanah sebesar 1049°C, Biodiesel B30 sebesar 971°C, dan minyak jelantah sebesar 805°C, sedangkan, , sedangkan pada ketinggian penempatan tabung bahan bakar di 160 cm, temperatur api pada bahan bakar minyak tanah sebesar 996°C, pada Biodiesel B30 sebesar 788°C, dan pada minyak jelantah sebesar 518°C.

Abstract

Along with the development of drying process technology, solar energy is used as an energy source whose availability will never run out and this energy can also be used as alternative energy which will be converted into electrical energy, drying It is hoped that using a solar dryer will be able to produce high quality copra and be a form of saving on electrical energy usage. After testing 3 times using direct heating from a solar energy source and 2 variations of heater heating elements with a power of 110 watts and 260 watts respectively, the most efficient results were obtained, namely in testing using a 100 watt heating element on the second day. During the 4 hours of testing, the water content value that came out of the coconut meat reached 22.49% compared to testing on the first and third days. This is caused by changes in environmental temperature (Tl) and environmental humidity (Hl) which affect the temperature conditions in the equipment drying room. For testing using 260 watts of power, the results were not efficient because it has very high power so that the energy stored in the battery cannot work during the 4 hours of drying time.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to get the effect of friction pressure on the tensile strength of the joining of aluminum alloy AA6061 and carbon steel, with continuous drive friction welding process. Variations of friction pressure of this research were 24 MPa, 32 MPa, and 40 MPa. In this study, a friction time 9 seconds was used. Other friction welding variables were, forging pressure 79 MPa, forging time 60 seconds, and friction rotation speed 1600 rpm. The independent variable was the ultimate tensile strength of the welded joint. The results showed that the increase in the tensile strength of the joint was not linear with the increase of frictional pressure. The rate of the increase in the tensile strength of the connection, will decrease after the frictional pressure passes through 32 MPa. When the rate of increase in the tensile strength of the joint begins to decrease, the joint will become more brittle. The maximum tensile strength of the joint in this study was 167.421 MPa at a frictional pressure of 40 MPa.Rasakan keseruan bermain di om88 dengan peluang menang yang lebih besar. Abstract

Abstract - This activity tries to reveal the impact of installing a solar home system with energy-saving lamps on the social and economic benefits for farming families in Niskolen hamlet. The social and economic benefits are intended for continuity in efforts to expand access to electricity services in areas not yet covered by electricity, and to encourage economic development and growth as well as improve the welfare of farmers. These social and economic benefits have long-term effects, such as increasing reading and learning opportunities, improving people's health standards, and with electricity at night farmers can carry out social and economic activities, as well as facilitate and speed up information from electronic media. The existence of electric lighting will pave the way for the development of the various talents that exist for innovation and entrepreneurship. Abstrak – Kegiatan ini mencoba untuk mengungkapkan dampak pemasangan solar home system dengan lampu hemat energi terhadap manfaat social dan ekonomi bagi keluarga petani di dusun Niskolen. Manfaat sosial dan ekonomi dimaksudkan untuk kelangsungan dalam upaya perluasan akses pelayanan listrik pada wilayah yang belum terjangkau listrik, dan mendorong pembangunan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi serta meningkatkan kesejateraan petani. Manfaat sosial dan ekonomi ini berpengaruh secara jangka panjang, antara lain seperti, peningkatan kesempatan membaca dan belajar, peningkatan taraf kesehatan rakyat, dan dengan adanya listrik pada waktu malam hari petani dapat melakukan kegiatan sosial dan ekonomi, serta memudahkan dan mempercepat informasi dari media elektronik. Dengan adanya penerangan listrik akan membuka jalan kepada pengembangan berbagai bakat yang ada untuk inovasi dan kewirausahaan.
